Chapter Ninety-Four

Fans' nicknames are usually related to their idols. Ye Chu thought about her own name for a long time, and finally came up with the nickname "Ye Zi" (Leaf) when she saw the fallen leaves of the potted plant at home.

The fans who received the nickname were very happy, and Ye Chu was also extremely pleased to see them.

Later, her acting career remained unremarkable, with her roles being rather ordinary. Her fan base gradually grew over time, and under different circumstances, it split into several groups: some called themselves "mommy fans," some "girlfriend fans," and some "boyfriend fans." Gradually, they stopped referring to themselves as "Ye Zi" and instead introduced themselves as "Chu Chu's mommy fans," or something similar.

Thinking of this, Ye Chu couldn't help but smile nostalgically at the comment on her phone screen. After liking the comment, she posted a new Weibo post.

Ye Chuchu V: I received an unexpected new job during filming and I'm on my way! The plot of Escape 2 will definitely surprise everyone. The new job is taking a while, so I'll have to trouble my lovely Ye Chuchu to support me when Escape 2 airs~ Love you all.

"Aww, baby! Mommy will definitely support you. Good luck with your new job!"

"Wow, I just saw that you liked and commented on my darling's post. I saw Chu Chu calling us Ye Zi here. It's been so long since I've heard that name. I almost cried. I miss it so much. Good luck with your new job, darling. We'll take care of the support for Escape 2."

"I feel like crying too. I keep calling myself 'Mom' every day, and I'm almost forgetting that I was once a leaf."

"Whether you're a mom fan, a girlfriend fan, or a boyfriend fan, you're all adorable leaves. When leaves come together, we become a lush forest! We have boundless vitality!"

"So cringey! I love it."

"Go, my little leaves! I'm off to place an additional magazine order!"

"My girlfriend Ye won't give up! I'm going to rewatch Escape 1 again."

"Wow, the interaction is pretty good!" Changji smiled with satisfaction as she looked at the updates on Weibo. She didn't accompany Ye Chu to her new job this time; Ye Chu was accompanied by her assistant.

"Woof! Woof!" The tangerine rubbed against Changji's ankle, indicating that it was hungry.

"Okay, okay, I'll get you some dog food right away." The top agent is still working hard as always today; truly the world's best agent.

Speaking of Ye Chu's new show, this is a new attempt for her and the first time she has received this kind of invitation - a wilderness survival variety show.

Seeing the information about past episodes compiled by her assistant, Ye Chu felt a bit of a headache. To be honest, she knew absolutely nothing about wilderness survival.

"Here are some wilderness survival tips and tricks. Want to cram at the last minute?" The assistant handed over another sheet of paper, which was full of handwritten wilderness survival tips.

Ye Chu accepted the invitation and thanked the person gratefully. Because of filming Escape 2, even though she knew about the invitation, she still hadn't been able to find the time to learn about it. Fortunately, her assistant was thoughtful and had made some preparations for her.

The survival show's name is simple and straightforward: "Wilderness Survival Journey," and it's led by a relatively experienced guest from the previous season. Of course, the production team won't put complete novices in dangerous situations, so everyone has to undergo three days of intensive training before the show begins.

After arriving at the meeting point arranged by the production team, Ye Chu traveled light, which was also required by the production team. The production team would provide the necessary items, and guests were not allowed to bring their own.

"Hey! They're finally here, our last member!" As soon as Ye Chu arrived, she was greeted by the other guests who were also participating in the show.

She greeted them one by one, sighing inwardly. There were five people participating in this program. The experienced team leader was a guest from the previous season named Yong Tongfang, an extremely outstanding variety show personality who had participated in countless variety shows and was a sought-after regular guest for various platforms.

Besides Ye Chu and Yong Tongfang, the remaining three members of the team are all actresses who have starred in many popular dramas. Yan Zheli, who is a girl like Ye Chu, and two strong male guests, Zhang Chihao and Feng Lingjing.

After getting to know each other, filming for the show began quickly. Under the guidance of the "survival veterans," everyone successfully completed three days of learning. Compared to the boys' lessons in diving and archery, the girls learned less physically demanding activities such as identifying plants, tying various survival knots, and emergency medical procedures.

Although the teachers responsible for teaching the skills were experienced and dedicated, three days was still far from enough for everyone to fully grasp the skills; they could only learn the basics.

After three days of learning and filming, the production team recorded individual interview segments for each person.

"After these three days of training, are you confident about your survival journey ahead?"

Ye Chu touched her nose somewhat guiltily: "There are still many plants I haven't been able to remember. I'm quite familiar with first aid and survival knots, but I still feel a little unsure... I hope I won't encounter any major danger, and ideally, I'll never need to use first aid."

After the training session ended, the group boarded a helicopter, and the production crew actually transported them to a deserted island. If it were just the five of them, they would definitely be scared, but fortunately, to film more footage, the production crew would stay there and provided them with some necessary equipment.

Filming of the program began as scheduled, and Yongtongfang, as the "leader" whom everyone trusted and relied on, took the lead in proposing the division of labor.

“We don’t know the exact terrain of this island yet, so let’s not go too far. Let’s all choose a campsite together first, and then Chi Hao and I will go explore the area to see if we can bring back some food. Ye Chu, Ling Jing, and Zhe Li will be in charge of setting up the camp.”

"Okay." Everyone agreed, and Yong Tongfang nodded, leading the team at the front. Fortunately, the production team was quite conscientious; the island they chose had many flat areas suitable for camping, and everyone selected a relatively high flat area near the river.

"Then we'll stay here. Chi Hao and I will go check out the surrounding area now. Be careful here too." Yong Tongfang gave a few instructions, and he and Chi Hao slowly walked away with the knife and water bag provided by the production team.

The three people left behind at the camp looked at each other, and finally Feng Lingjing said, "Let's see if we can build a simple shed or something?"

Ye Chu nodded and looked at the tools they had just placed on the ground: "The production team provided a rope and an axe."

“Then I’ll go chop down some big tree trunks,” Feng Lingjing said, picking up the axe and weighing it in his hand.

"Then I'll go gather some dry branches to start a fire." After Feng Lingjing left, Yan Zheli looked around and asked Ye Chu, "Want to come along?"

Ye Chu thought for a moment and felt that one person could collect enough branches, but since it was dangerous in the wild, it was also true that it was safer for girls to go in groups, so she said, "Okay, then I'll look for edible wild vegetables along the way."
