Chapter Ninety-Two

The biggest difference between Escape 2 and the first one lies in their overall goals. In the first one, the female protagonist and the male protagonist witnessed the good and evil of human nature through a series of games. The female protagonist gradually grew up, and the two of them also collected scattered information about the rules.

In the second part, with the first appearance of the slaughter game instance, the rules finally took action against these experienced players trapped in the false world. The two protagonists also realized that the purpose of so many death games was to create excellent players, and then let these people kill each other, leaving only the last king standing at the top.

The method of using the rules is the same as raising Gu poison, except that it raises people instead of Gu poison.

After understanding the intention behind the rule, the female protagonist asked the male protagonist, "Why does it only require one person to survive in the end?"

"Nobody knows." Before the male protagonist could speak, a newly introduced character answered the question: "But what is certain is that the person who survives in the end will be able to help the rules accomplish what the rules cannot."

This newly introduced character is quite remarkable in Escape 2. His experience and strength are on par with the male protagonist, and his background is also very unique. Before arriving in the fake world, he was a freelance mercenary who roamed the world, and was subsequently hunted by numerous foreign organizations after an assassination mission. Unable to fight against overwhelming odds, he was chosen by the rules to enter the game during his escape and is now trapped in the fake world.

Lin Mu's character design doesn't have a clear distinction between good and evil. In the game, he will kill people by any means necessary to complete the game, but he will also occasionally show mercy and save people.
