Somewhat awkwardly, Ye Chu was sitting stiffly next to Gu Yu.
Half an hour earlier, after finishing his meal, Qin Ke, just like before, continued to talk to Ye Chu.
Ye Chu was getting annoyed by the other party, but Qin Ke's seat was on the outside, and she couldn't get out if the other party didn't move aside.
"Xiao Chu, don't you have any thoughts about dating?" The other person suddenly moved closer, their gaze fixed on Ye Chu's lips.

"A dinner party? Why are you outside? Aren't you going in?" Gu Yu nodded and asked seriously.

Thinking this to herself, Gu Yu calmly handed Ye Chu his coat, saying, "Put this on. I was just about to leave. Want a ride?"
"!" Ye Chu stared wide-eyed at the coat being handed to her by slender fingers, her ears perked up as she felt she had heard something incredible.
Restraint got the better of her, and Ye Chuyi gritted her teeth, intending to refuse him outright, but just as she opened her mouth, He Qing opened the door and came out.
"Oh, you're here."
"Hmm." Gu Yu nodded lightly, not caring at all about He Qing's somewhat smug tone.
Ye Chu looked at this and then at that, as if she had suddenly realized something: "Actor Gu, you're here to pick up Director He!"
Gu Yu: ...Help He Qing? Does he deserve it?
He Qing: ...No, I'm not worthy.
He Qing's pleased expression relaxed: "I think I'll be a little late, thank you for coming." He then turned to Ye Chu: "You don't look too well, how about Gu Yu takes you home? I can put in a good word for you inside."
Ye Chu: !!!
"this……"
"Okay." Huh? ??? Ye Chu looked at Gu Yu in surprise. The other party opened his coat without any awkwardness and draped it over Ye Chu: "You don't look too good. I'll take you home directly, otherwise we'll have wasted our time today."
Gu Yu had a good grasp of distance, and Ye Chu felt that the other party was just being kind. With He Qing's encouragement, she got into the car in a daze.
When they came to their senses, they immediately froze on the spot.
"Where do you live?" Gu Yu asked gently, and then produced a paper cup from somewhere and poured her some water.
Ye Chu took the cup with a dazed expression, holding it in her hands. The warm water warmed the inside of the cup, and the heat seeped through the paper cup into Ye Chu's palm, like a gentle stream, relaxing most of her body.
"Just drop me off at the intersection of Nanhua Road." Ye Chu smiled at Gu Yu, holding her water glass.
"Are you okay? Is it not a headache?" Gu Yu didn't say yes directly, but she didn't say no either. She showed concern gently on the surface, but inside she was full of resentment.
"Yeah, it's okay, we're almost there." Ye Chu touched her forehead with her warmed hands. "It's warmer in the car now, I feel much better, I'll be fine getting home."
At this point, Gu Yu said no more, informed the driver, and then said to Ye Chu, "That's good." He then leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes to rest.
The car drove smoothly and was very quiet inside. Ye Chu sipped the water in her paper cup, occasionally stealing glances at Gu Yu from the corner of her eye.
She was screaming internally, but her facial expression was less revealing. However, a closer look would reveal that the muscles in her cheeks were somewhat stiff, the best evidence that she was trying to suppress the upward curve of her lips.
After an unknown amount of time, the car slowly came to a stop, and Ye Chu put on her mask and got out. This stretch of road wasn't in the bustling city center, so it was exceptionally quiet. Plus, it was already quite late, and the darkness made one feel as if something might appear.
Ye Chu rarely walks at night; she's not particularly brave, but she had no other choice today.
"Shall I take you to the door?" Gu Yu put on a mask and got out of the car, holding onto the door. His eyes were pure black, which shouldn't stand out in the dark, but Ye Chu felt that his eyes were shining.
It looked like tiny, scattered stars.
"Thank you for your help."
"It's okay, I'm not in a hurry at night."
The journey was quiet; Ye Chu could even hear the hum of the streetlights. Neither of them spoke, and they walked in silence until Gu Yu escorted Ye Chu to the entrance of her apartment complex.
He glanced at the neighborhood: "Although it's a bit nosy, I think you should consider moving. This place is really remote, and as a public figure, it's a bit dangerous to be out early and back late every day."
"Ah..." Ye Chu chuckled, "Thank you for your concern, Actor Gu. I've been planning to move recently, but I haven't found a place yet."
"Here, take this." Gu Yu took out a business card from his suit trouser pocket. Ye Chu took it and glanced at it; it was a business card for the residential community.
“A friend of mine introduced it to me. I’m moving there soon. The security and privacy are pretty good. A lot of people in the industry live there,” Gu Yu said gently. The night breeze blew by, softly brushing his lips and then seemed to stop on Ye Chu’s forehead.
"Well, thank you in advance, Actor Gu. You should head back early too, it's getting late." Under the dim streetlights, Ye Chu saw the other person's gentle features. He nodded to her and naturally turned to walk back.
Back home, Ye Chu didn't turn on the lights immediately. In the dim light, she squatted down and buried her burning face in her knees. Gu Yingdi's words had given her the absurd illusion of being invited to live together.
"Ye Chu, you're just like a lecherous old man." She cursed herself like that, then clutched the coat draped over her shoulders tightly. Maybe she'd get her revenge another time?
