Chapter 10 Thrilling Moments
She quickly distributed the last of the lobster balls to the neighbors who were waiting in line, apologizing repeatedly: "I'm so sorry everyone, we're sold out today! I'll prepare more next time!"
The neighbors who didn't manage to buy any immediately let out a collective sigh of disappointment.

Without pausing, Su Xiaonuan took advantage of the moment when he was dazed and confused from being thrown and his arms were twisted in pain, rendering him unable to resist. She used her knee to firmly press down on his lower back, and deftly pulled out the nylon cable ties she carried with her to tie up the takeout boxes. She then tightly bound his hands and feet together behind his back in a knot.

Lu Zheng on the other end of the phone was clearly stunned by this sudden report of a major case. He paused for less than half a second before responding immediately, his voice becoming extremely serious and sharp: "Understood! Protect the scene, be careful, we're on our way!"
After hanging up the phone, Su Xiaonuan looked at the unconscious man on the ground, then at the pitiful woman who died with her eyes wide open. Her chest felt as if a large stone was blocking it, making it hard to breathe.

She walked over to the woman, picked up a blanket from the sofa next to her, and carefully covered her naked body, her feelings a complex mix.
She was too late... If only she had noticed something was wrong sooner, if only she had been more decisive...
Just then, hurried and rapid footsteps and police sirens came from downstairs.
