"Alexander apologizes."
Megan Neil said sternly, "If you don't apologize, I'll report what you did to the teacher."
"You were wrong, so you should apologize."
"Exactly. We usually ignore your insults because we're colleagues, but you've been using foul language for a long time."
“But Sang Ning and the others are not our colleagues; strictly speaking, they are here to help.”
"We were the ones who asked them for help, and instead of being grateful, you resorted to swearing. Do you think that's reasonable?"
Alexander didn't see anything wrong with it, but he also knew that continuing to be stubborn at this point wouldn't do him any good.
Sang Ning's position on planet E72 is too special; a large number of people protect her. If he offends her and draws out the governors, he will not come out unscathed.
Even the teachers couldn't protect him, and would even kick him out of the group to avoid unnecessary trouble.
This would tarnish his resume and file.
It will probably be difficult to continue in this line of work in the future.
Therefore, in order to ensure his career and resume were clean and excellent, Alexander, though inwardly resentful, said without showing it, "I'm sorry, I deeply apologize for my insults."
As he spoke, he bowed to the two of them.
Sang Ning stared at him intently and scoffed, “We pure-blooded humans have a famous saying: ‘A tree must first grow roots to grow tall, and a person must first establish virtue; roots are the foundation of a tree, and virtue is the essence of a person.’”
Qin Heng, “…”
Holy crap, this guy suddenly said something so profound and unfathomable. How is he supposed to respond without being at a disadvantage?
Qin Heng racked his brains to think, but found that his poor language and vocabulary skills simply couldn't express such profound and meaningful words.
In other words, he lost this round.
Forget it, he might as well just say something harsh.
"Alexander, I hope you will take care of yourself."
As he spoke, he pulled Sang Ning toward the car, saying, "One bad apple spoils the whole bunch. We can't stay here anymore, it's awful."
“We’d rather go back and keep Aunt Yu company while she embroiders than see that wretched Alexander.”
Sang Ning's lips twitched as she said, "Aunt Yu doesn't want you to help her with embroidery."
Embroidering? What a load of crap, it's more like making a mess.
"Aunt Yu likes me very much."
"I heard you talking in your sleep."
"Hey, why won't you believe me..."
The wind carried their gradually fading voices. Meganil looked at Alexander, who had straightened up, and took a deep breath, saying, "What on earth happened to you that you had the nerve to go and yell at Sang Ning and the others?"
Alexander pursed his lips. "But they did a really bad job."
"If you don't do well, you have to scold people. According to your logic, when you first came to the museum and I was training you, your performance was worse than Sang Ning and the others. Should I have hit and scolded you to make up for the hard work I put into training you?"
After Meganil said that, Alexander fell completely silent.
Seeing him like this, Megan Neil sighed with disappointment, turned and left without saying a word.
“Alexander, Sannin is right, virtue is the foundation of humanity.”
"And you, you have no virtue!"
"I will tell the teacher everything that happened today, so you can prepare for what to do next."
"No, you can't tell the teacher."
Alexander panicked and lunged forward to try and stop Meganil.
Naturally, he failed, because not only was he stopped, but he was also verbally attacked by his colleagues.
Sang Ning, who witnessed this scene through the flying car wide-angle monitoring system, sighed.
"I never imagined that you and I would be used as pawns today."
Who says academics are indifferent to fame and fortune?
Come on, intellectuals are really good at scheming.
Qin Heng was very unhappy and sneered when he heard this, "Using us as pawns is fine, as long as Megan and his men can bear the consequences."
As he spoke, he asked Sang Ning, "Are you going to complain?"
"tell!"
Sang Ning said firmly, "We have to make an example of them. Otherwise, if they continue like this, I'm worried that they'll secretly take away the skeletons and artifacts from the ruins."
"Everything in the Pure Human War Site, including the skeletons, belongs to us."
If elite humans want to take it away, they won't even let them through a crack in the window, let alone a door.
Therefore, Sang Ning contacted Qi Wenyuan directly.
The first thing he said was—
"Uncle, I've been called a good-for-nothing."
"It's just calling someone a piece of trash..."
Qi Wenyuan, who was halfway through the conversation, belatedly realized the meaning behind her words and immediately exploded.
"Which bastard called you trash? Tell me, I'll go beat that bastard to death."
"Alexander".
"??? Who is this?"
Qi Wenyuan looked bewildered. Sang Ning briefly recounted what had happened, and Qi Wenyuan, who had been furious, calmed down.
After she finished speaking, he grinned, revealing a sinister smile.
"My dear niece, you wait and see, I know what to do."
"Alright, then Lao Qin and I won't move."
"We don't need you. Your uncles and I aren't so old that we can't move."
The younger generation is meant to be cherished, not enslaved.
We can enslave them when they're too old to work.
And so, this matter came to an end.
What happens next is none of Sang Ning's business.
But the departure of Alexander and his group three days later still surprised Sanning and his companions.
"I thought they would only expel a few people."
Sang Ning murmured as she watched the long line of people waiting to board the starship under their gaze.
