Chapter 81 Heaven and Hell

The tech guy was internally cursing, but outwardly he showed no sign of it, saying, "Stop nagging and getting in my way. I'm already working on it."

"I think the speed could be even faster," Manager Luo urged.

The technician scoffed, continuing to work while retorting, "Do you think this is like drinking nutrient solution, where you just open the cap and pour it into your mouth? This is a technical job."

Worried that he would start nagging again, she threatened him, "Stop nagging, or I'll quit."

Manager Luo really wanted to tell him to go on strike if he dared, but considering the man's personality, he chose to keep quiet and anxiously watched him work from behind.

The more he looked, the more confused he became, and the more question marks appeared. Then, he heard the technician say, "Done."

"alright?"

"alright."

The tech guy pulled out a lollipop, put it in his mouth, and said smugly, "I'm as awesome as ever, I opened twenty channels for Sang Ning's live stream in one go."

As he spoke, he looked at Manager Luo and said, "You can go back and keep an eye on things with peace of mind. With the current capacity of Sang Ning's live stream, it would take a surge of over a billion viewers to cause a crash."

Manager Luo immediately beamed with joy, "So many?"

Yes.

The tech expert, with the air of a prophet, said, "In my estimation, Sang Ning has the potential to become a huge hit. After today, it will attract even more people. It would be best to go straight for it."

Manager Luo said "Oh," and asked curiously, "What would happen if a billion really poured in all at once?"

"Add another channel?"

"There's no way to add it."

The tech guy said with a sour face, "If so many people really flood in, Sang Ning's live stream will have to reopen the port. This is not something that can be solved by setting up a new channel, but rather that the port capacity is insufficient."

"The current ports only have this much capacity at most, do you understand what I mean?"

"Understood."

Manager Luo replied firmly, "Thank you for your hard work. I'll treat you to dinner after I rest."

The techie's eyes lit up instantly: "Springtime feast!"

"Can."

The traffic generated by Sang Ning's recent fire is enough to earn him a large bonus. He can afford to treat the tech team to a meal at Chun Man Tang, not just once, but several more times.

"Then you go ahead and do your work, I'll go check on the current situation in Sang Ning's live stream."

"Go ahead, go ahead."

The technology expert waved goodbye, and then Mr. Luo, the person in charge, scurried away.

Meanwhile, Sang Ning's live stream had returned to normal.

Countless people poured in and saw a half-built stone house, already showing its basic shape, standing alone on the large platform at the top of the mountain.

Not far in front of the house, there was a shed representing the early stages of primitive civilization.

The frame was constructed using wood and bamboo as supports, and the roof was covered with large fern leaves and some slender grass. The shed was constructed with leaves and fine grass on three sides, except for one side which was not covered.

The ground was piled with things, but it didn't look messy at all; it was all in good order.

However, none of these are the main point. The main point is the two large beds placed in the shed.

New viewer: [Is this the bed that Sang Ning and the others made?]

Regular viewer: [New here?]

New audience member: [Yes, we're all new here.]

Longtime viewers were amused; no wonder Sang Ning's livestream suddenly crashed—with so many people flooding in at once, it was bound to crash.

So, the veteran viewers gave the new viewers a thorough explanation of the wonders of Sang Ning's live stream.

Sang Ning was completely unaware of the live stream crash and the sudden influx of so many people; she and Louis were diligently working on the threshing machine.

However, both of them were novices. Even if they knew what a threshing machine looked like and understood the principles, it wouldn't be easy for them to build one.

Fortunately, the result was good. After three days and more than ten revisions, a lightweight threshing machine made of wood and metal parts was finally completed.

Sang Ning and Louis's hands were covered in wounds, so many that they were unsightly.

The tools are not handy, and I often cut my hands and fingers, but they are all superficial injuries and not serious problems.

Looking at this lightweight and compact threshing machine, Louis felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.

The threshing machine is not difficult to make, at least not as difficult as making a mecha. It mainly consists of four parts: a frame, rollers, core shaft, and foot pedals.

Louis initially wanted to make it electric based on his sensitivity to mechanics, but since there was no power source on the desolate planet, he settled for a hand crank based on Sunning's blueprints.

After trying it out, I found that the hand crank was not very easy to use and was hard on my hands, so I switched to a foot pedal, and that's how I got the threshing machine I have now.

"Olive, go step on the pedal and let's test the effect."

"Okay."

Elliott enthusiastically placed his foot on the pedal and started pedaling. The threshing core shaft, now installed, immediately began to spin at high speed. Meanwhile, Sunning, who had been fully prepared, grabbed a handful of wheat ears and threw them into the opening of the drum. A slight sluggishness appeared, and Elliott raised an eyebrow, increasing the pressure under his foot. The sluggishness disappeared, and grains of wheat flew out from the outlet, landing on the large fern leaves that Sunning and the others had laid out in front of the threshing machine.

Upon seeing this, everyone cheered.

"Hahaha, it worked! After two days, it finally succeeded."

Louis laughed heartily, hands on his hips. "I knew someone as awesome as me couldn't handle a threshing machine."

"You're the best."

Mu Tao squatted down in front of the leaves and grabbed a handful of wheat grains, her cheeks flushed with excitement. Finally, finally, Sang Ning could cook again.

These past two days, Sang Ning has been so preoccupied with this threshing machine that she hasn't been able to focus on cooking, let alone making beds or furniture.

All my attention and energy were devoted to the threshing machine.

Unfortunately, they had to find their own way to get three meals a day.

The food I make, well, it's never been delicious; it's just cooked through.

They've been suffering from the food these past two days.

If you live a life of eating raw food, then any cooked food will be a pleasure. But after tasting and enjoying Sang Ning's cooking, eating them again is a truly indescribable experience.

Now, they are finally free from tormenting each other.

"Ningning, can we eat fresh food today?"

"I can't eat it."

Sang Ning shook his head, and everyone gasped. Emmanuel's face darkened. "Wasn't the threshing machine made? Why can't we eat it yet?"

"The grains have only been removed, not the husks yet."

She picked up a grain of wheat, peeled off the husk, and showed the grain to everyone. "It needs to be peeled like this before it can be ground into flour and used to make food."

"Of course, you can cook wheat rice directly without removing the husk, but it's hard to swallow, and I don't think you'd like it."

Everyone was speechless.

To be honest, I have a few words of sarcasm to say.

What does it mean to go from heaven to hell?

That's it.

One second they were overjoyed thinking there was new food to eat, but Sang Ning immediately told them that their joy was just an illusion.
