Chapter 147 Zhou Ya is leaving
Ye Rou followed the melon-eating system and the last time she looked up she was at the village chief's house.
The wind was cold and the village chief's house was particularly lively.
Zhou Ya walked out carrying a lot of bags, accompanied by two middle-aged men and women whom she had never seen before. They should be Zhou Ya's parents.
"Zhou Ya!"
Jiang Huan rushed out holding his daughter, his eyes red and swollen, his face full of hatred: "If you leave, don't come back!"
"Mom!" The little girl burst into tears, her face red.
Zhou Ya paused slightly, as if she wanted to turn back.
Seeing his daughter stop, Zhou Ya's father said to Jiang Huan with a cold expression, "Our family is very grateful for your help in Xiaoya's difficult time. But now that Xiaoya has been admitted to university, tell me honestly, are you two a good match?"
Zhou Ya's slightly wavering expression turned cold again. She no longer hesitated and followed her parents away.
Jiang Huan fell to his knees holding the child.
"Zhou Ya, I beg you, don't go!"
Zhou Ya turned around suddenly and looked at Jiang Huan in disbelief.
Ye Rou shook her head. Jiang Huan shouldn't have knelt down to keep Zhou Ya.
As expected, Zhou Ya was furious. She dropped her luggage and collapsed, yelling, "Jiang Huan, I've been languishing in this shabby village for ten years! I gave you my life, my youth, the best of everything. From now on, I want to live for myself!"
"Are you kneeling down now to tell everyone how much you pity me and how cruel I am?" Zhou Ya pounded her chest and roared at the top of her lungs.
"Pa!" Zhou Ya's mother stepped forward and slapped Zhou Ya hard.
Her sudden action startled everyone present and they were unable to react.
Zhou Ya, who was beaten, covered her face and looked at her mother in surprise.
Ye Rou widened her eyes.
Zhou Ya's mother sternly said, "Jiang Huan has been taking care of you all these years. What you said was too much. Apologize to him!"
Zhou Ya's eyes were red with grievance. Under her mother's stern gaze, she whispered, "Jiang Huan, I'm sorry."
Jiang Huan knelt on the ground holding the child, a hint of joy on his face.
"Bang!"
Ye Rou's eyes widened because Zhou Ya's mother also knelt down, right across from Jiang Huan.
She cried, "Jiang Huan, it's our family that has wronged you, but the three of us have been separated for ten years. Considering that Xiaoya gave birth to a child for you, please let my daughter go!"
"Mom!" Zhou Ya hugged her mother in pain and knelt beside her, sobbing.
Ye Rou wanted to applaud Zhou Ya's mother after watching this.
She didn't mention whether they were a good match or not, but used reunion as an excuse, which was a killer move.
As expected, the onlookers were all supporting Jiang Huan.
Now, seeing the mother and daughter hugging each other and crying, most people are moved.
"A fallen phoenix is not a chicken after all. It will eventually fly away."
"Jiang Huan is too greedy. A city girl can't marry a poor boy like him and have to work in the fields with him for the rest of her life."
"That's climbing the social ladder. People look down on him."
"He's holding his child and crying like a sympathizer. It's really embarrassing for our village."
When Jiang Huan heard what the villagers said, his face turned red and he hugged the child tightly, neither standing nor kneeling.
He didn't understand why everything was fine yesterday but changed today?
His wife, the mother of his children, why couldn't he keep her?
"Jiang Huan, stand up!"
Li Lifen and Village Chief Jiang came back. Seeing her son kneeling at the door holding his granddaughter, Li Lifen shouted.
When Jiang Huan saw his parents, he felt like he had seen his backbone. He stood up with an expression of extreme aggrievedness.
Li Lifen brought her granddaughter over. "Dear, don't cry in winter."
She muttered to herself as she wiped away the tears from her granddaughter's face.
Li Lifen didn't even look at Zhou Ya and her mother kneeling at the door. She kicked Jiang Huan and said angrily, "You useless thing, come back with me!"
Jiang Huan stared at Zhou Ya and shook his head stubbornly: "Mom, I'm not going in. Please help me persuade Xiaoya."
"Why would you persuade me?" Li Lifen said coldly, "If I stay, I won't become an in-law, but an enemy who will hinder their family reunion."
Before Jiang Huan could say anything more, Village Chief Jiang kicked him on the butt. The usually charitable and friendly Village Chief had an extremely cold expression on his face: "Shut up and go home!"
Li Lifen pinched her son's ear with her left hand and carried her granddaughter back to the yard with her right hand.
Village Chief Jiang said coldly: "Don't kneel at my door."
Zhou Ya helped her mother stand up. Facing her always strict father-in-law, she didn't dare to speak.
Village Chief Jiang stood at the door, his cotton coat patched with patches. He said, "These two children will be separated from us in the future. Xiaoya is my granddaughter and she will stay with us. We will not suffer any loss in the future."
He looked at Zhou Ya, who looked nervous and clenched her fists slightly.
Village Chief Jiang said calmly, "Don't come back in the future. You and Jiang Huan should part ways amicably."
After he finished speaking, he shouted to the onlookers as usual, "Go away! It's so cold out here, go home."
This is what a master is.
Ye Rou was amazed.
The way of handling the matter lightly and in just a few words, a very serious matter involving two families was covered up. The handling was sophisticated and mature and not shameful.
Sure enough, the onlookers changed their tone and started supporting the Jiang family again.
"The Jiang family is also pitiful. They provide Zhou Ya with good food and drink. A few days ago, Li Lifen said that her daughter-in-law was admitted to university and wanted to make some new clothes for Zhou Ya. I didn't expect that she wanted to leave already."
"Jiang Huan took over Zhou Ya's land during the autumn harvest. She wanted to take the college entrance examination, and Village Chief Jiang even came to our house to borrow books."
"Zhou Ya doesn't usually work and can't even cook. Li Lifen does all the housework. I even tried to persuade her, but guess what she said?"
"What did you say?" The onlookers looked over curiously.
"People say Zhou Ya is a city girl, her hands are precious, and doing this kind of work is a waste of her hands."
As soon as the aunt finished speaking, the villagers all sighed that the village chief's family was really good to Zhou Ya.
The discussion became increasingly heated.
The Zhou family members blushed with embarrassment after hearing this and could no longer stay.
Zhou Ya was dragged away by her parents. She looked back at the tightly closed door of the Jiang family and felt inexplicably uncomfortable.
She thought it would be a big fight, but it ended so lightly.
The Zhou family left and the onlookers dispersed.
Ye Rou clicked on the system light screen to confirm that she had successfully eaten the melon, and then she clicked on the lottery.
The black pointer spun wildly and finally landed on the blue reward.
[Grant Dream: The host can create a realistic and gorgeous dream, allowing others to enter and experience it. This can be used to grant dreams to a group, and can only be used once a week.]
After reading the skill description, Ye Rou found it very interesting and thought of trying it before going to bed at night.
She could make up a beautiful dream about an amusement park, thinking of beautiful things, and ran back to the yard at the foot of the mountain.
Ye Rou pushed open the courtyard door and said with a smile, "Jiang Chen, let's have some fire tonight..."
She didn't finish her words because Zhou Liang, Meng Guan and Wang Honghong were also in the yard.
Jiang Chen had a sinister expression, and a man tied up with ropes was kneeling at his feet.
