Chapter 137 "My God, what a handsome man..."

Chapter 137 "My God, what a handsome man..."

Di Ya Ruo smiled again, took my arm, and led me to the main seat. The nobles who passed by bowed. One of the young and beautiful noble ladies was so nervous that she accidentally twisted her ankle and fell right at King Midan's feet.

I was stunned for a moment and was about to help her up when Di Yaruo suddenly pulled me back. Looking closer, I saw that this noble lady was looking at King Midan with a flirtatious expression. Her slumped posture was sexy and alluring, with her shapely buttocks upturned and her long, enticing legs exposed. It turned out that she had deliberately fallen to attract King Midan's attention.

King Midian ignored her, walked past her, and laughed loudly, saying, "The dances in your royal city are getting more and more innovative. What new tricks will you have next time?"

Di Ya Ruo laughed and followed, "What's so great about dancing? Why not try our newly brewed wine from the capital? I guarantee it's amazing."

I silently followed behind and sat in the seat below the head of the table.

Haya was already sitting next to me, laughing heartily.

"Oh, no wonder those bitches are so out of the loop!" Haiya laughed, her eyes crinkling with a sly grin. She lowered her voice a little. "My half-brother has always liked handsome men, but he only got together with women to look good. His two seductive mistresses are just for show."

"You don't believe me?" Seeing that I ignored him, Haiya laughed wildly and wickedly. "Let me tell you a little secret. I just heard yesterday that the person who tried to assassinate you is most likely King Midan. He's seeking revenge for his lover, hahaha!"

My mind went blank for a moment. "He's the leader of the slave revolt?"

“I’ve heard that’s true,” Hya said in a low voice, “but it’s not anymore, though there’s no concrete evidence, ha!”

I was utterly astonished. This world is so strange! King Midian was practically a slave owner, so how could he become the leader of a slave revolt and oppose the slave owners?

I'm reminded of an old saying: "The city is full of tricks, I want to go back to the countryside."

The people here are so hard to understand!

Because of my doubts, I didn't focus on the dance party, but instead kept thinking about whether what Haya said was true or false.

It wasn't until the dance reached its most exciting moment, with people constantly screaming with excitement, that I had to bring my attention back to the party.

I was pushed out of the banquet hall by the maids; most of the nobles had already gone outside.

A circular, open-air hot spring pool was steaming. One after another, naked, strong, handsome men with muscular abs, sexy deltoids, and defined waistlines, with broad shoulders and narrow waists, took turns jumping into the hot spring pool with graceful movements.

"My God, what a handsome man!"

"My darling!"

"Look at that thing, it's absolutely amazing!"

"Absolutely amazing!"

The nobles laughed heartily, scrambling to jump into the hot spring, fighting tooth and nail over the handsome men. Several noble ladies hurled insults and pulled hair at each other over a muscular man, while several noble men came to blows over a handsome man with a shapely bottom. Still other noble ladies pulled at each other, trying to drag the handsome man to their side.

The surroundings were chaotic, and I stood trembling by the hot spring pool.

"Why don't you jump?" Haiya asked me with a grin. "By the way, you're pregnant, aren't you afraid someone will miscarry your baby?"

"Get out!" I yelled. "My business is none of your concern."

"Hey, who cares about you?" Haiya said sullenly. "I can't even handle all the fun myself." With that, he jumped into the hot spring pool and suddenly pressed down on the head of a handsome young man with delicate features and fair skin who was hiding on the side. He forcefully pushed the young man into the water, causing him to choke and struggle desperately. But Haiya refused to let go, displaying extreme violence.

I picked up a copper wine jug from a passing maid's tray and hurled it at Haiya, hitting him squarely on the head. Haiya cried out in pain and let go, allowing the handsome young man to escape.

"Damn it, you bitch, what did you use to hit me?" Haiya cursed.

"Use your mother's head!" I was furious. I picked up the wine jug on the table and smashed it again, this time hitting his arm.

"Damn it!" Haiya cursed angrily, getting up from the pool in a disheveled state and rushing towards me, dripping wet.

I was prepared. I took a few steps back, drew the longsword from the waist of the guard standing by the pool, and pressed it against Haiya's throat as he lunged at me.

Hya was taken aback by my quick reaction and froze in shock.

No one noticed the commotion on our side. The hot spring pool was filled with a cacophony of suggestive breathing, flirtatious banter between men and women, and blush-inducing moans.

I stared coldly at Haiya, who glared at me hatefully, took two steps back, and staggered away.

I put the sword back into the scabbard at the guard's waist, and the guard visibly breathed a sigh of relief.

The nobles partied all night, and I could still hear their excited shouts and lewd laughter as I lay in bed.

I didn't see Di Yaruo until noon the next day. She was still sleepy, her long hair was slightly messy, and she was rubbing her eyes and yawning as she sat at the dining table.

Just as I was about to take a sip of cream of mushroom soup, I heard her say listlessly, "Ugh, last night was so boring. That King Midan is useless. I tried everything, blowing on him, swallowing him, touching him, and eating him, but he just couldn't get it up."

The silver spoon clattered from my hand onto the table. How dare I speak so boldly!

She glanced at me. "Otherwise, where do you think we went all night? It took me a lot of effort to drag him into my room."

I didn't see them at the hot springs last night. It was strange that King Midian didn't show up among so many handsome men, but I didn't think much of it at the time, as I was having a big argument with Hya.

"He likes men, so no matter how hard you try, it's no use." I picked up the silver spoon and drank the cream of mushroom soup.

"I heard he occasionally spends the night with women, so I thought he could be bisexual," Di Yaruo said, feeling quite depressed.

"Why do you want to spend the night with him?" I asked curiously. "He's not exactly handsome."

“Idiot,” Di Yaruo laughed suddenly, her voice very low, “What I want is his child.”

I paused for a moment, then took another sip of cream of mushroom soup. "That's easy. Find a few men to be with him, and when he's excited, find a way to get his thing inside you, and you'll get pregnant."

Di Ya looked at me thoughtfully, "You can be really clever sometimes. How come I didn't think of that?"

Three or four days later, on the night before King Midan left the capital, Diya emerged from her room with a radiant smile. I was soaking in the open-air hot spring, having spent the entire night without sleep, when she sat by the pool and said to me, "I succeeded! Your method was really good."

I slowly surfaced from the hot spring pool and sat down on the edge. "You might not succeed yet. The woman has to be ovulating."

What is the ovulation period?

"I can't explain it clearly right now, but it's just that women are more likely to get pregnant during those few days."

Di Yaruo shrugged. "Whatever, at least I tried. It doesn't matter if I fail."

Dawn was breaking, and a sliver of white appeared on the distant horizon. I changed out of my damp dress, put on a clean robe, and prepared to go back to my room for a nap.

“King Midan wants to make a deal with you. He wants you to intercede with the Elf King and release his lover,” Diya said seemingly casually.

I was shocked; what Haiya said was actually true.

"King Midian was the leader of the slave revolt?" I asked in surprise.

“Yes, but the one who took office,” Di Yaruo said, kicking her feet in the water, “he had also coveted the three islands before, so he spent a lot of money to get rid of the previous leader and took over as leader himself. He wanted to incite unrest on the islands and take the opportunity to lead his troops to attack, but unexpectedly, the day before he was supposed to lead his troops to attack, the Elf King led his troops to attack. He was caught off guard and had to flee at the last minute. The original island lords and nobles resisted with all their might, but they only lasted for three months before being defeated by the Elf King.”

"And then?" I couldn't help but ask when she stopped.

"After that, the Elf King occupied three islands, but the nobles on the islands were resentful. They didn't want to be ruled by a foreign race so easily, and since the original island lord had died a terrible death, they wanted to avenge him. So they made a deal with King Midan: if he could cause chaos on the islands and make the Elf King suffer heavy losses, they would give him one million gold. One million gold is no small sum, and he was tempted."

I asked again, "Why don't they simply join forces with King Midian and regain control of the island?"

Diya laughed loudly, "It's not that easy! The Elf King's army has already occupied three islands, and they are everywhere. The nobles on the islands don't even dare to think about taking back the islands immediately; they only dare to teach him a lesson."

As she spoke, she looked at me and laughed again, "After you forced out who the leader of the slave revolt was, the Elf King immediately contacted King Midian and issued a challenge to him. King Midian had only been on the throne for a few years; how could he dare to oppose the Elf King? If he had accepted, the powerful and wealthy nobles of the Western Territory would have scolded him for causing trouble everywhere, wasting resources and causing unnecessary disasters to the Western Territory. In the end, he settled it with compensation. He paid the Elf King four million gold as compensation for the island revolt."

In other words, King Midan did not make a single penny from this island uprising; in fact, he lost three million.

“The Elf King originally wanted five million, but King Midan couldn’t afford it, so he lowered it to four million,” Di Ya Ruo said with a smug smile.

I pondered for a moment and then told Di Yaruo, "If King Rumidan wants me to speak well of him in front of the Elf King, he will have to pay a price."

"you say."

“I don’t want his money, I want his private army, at least three thousand.” Looking at Di Yaruo’s “you’re so greedy” expression, I smiled. “I’m a person who doesn’t feel safe, and I’m heavily pregnant, so I need to find a legion to protect me. In case you or Haiya want to kill me one day, I’ll have a legion to protect me when I run away.”

Di Yaruo actually nodded, "What you said seems to make sense."

King Midan initially disagreed with my request, and I heard he gave me the same "you're so greedy" look as Di Yaruo, trying to bargain with me to lower the price to two thousand, but I refused without hesitation. I asked Di Yaruo to tell him, "Think about that beautiful lover with long legs, starting at one hundred thousand gold coins, I really didn't ask for more."

King Midian reluctantly agreed.

I wrote to the Elf King: "My unborn child and I are wandering alone, destitute and helpless. I am by nature 'unruly and love freedom,' and cannot stay in one place for long. I cannot adapt to your life there, so please understand. I beg you to release King Midian's lover for my and my child's sake. In exchange, King Midian will give me three thousand private soldiers, who will protect my child and me in the future."

After thinking for a while, I wrote some more things like, "I hope you'll soften your heart this time," "After all, I saved you once," "Please have mercy," and "You are the best king." It was all jumbled up, and I didn't even know what I was writing. I had crumpled the letter into a ball, intending to throw it in the trash, but then I didn't know how to rewrite it. So I unfolded the crumpled letter, folded it again, put it in the envelope, and handed it to Imera, saying, "Send it out."

It is said that before sending it out, Di Yaruo took a look at it, burst out laughing, and then had it sent away.
