Chapter 245 "How can I avoid provoking..."
I smiled, pushed him aside, clapped my hands, and several beautiful young women walked in one after another, taking off their outer clothes and underwear as they went, standing naked by the pool. Their figures were so sexy that it was almost unbearable to look at; even women would blush and their hearts would race at the sight.
“You know, I just fought a battle, and we defeated several tribes,” I said. “And several other tribes surrendered voluntarily. These are the beauties offered by the surrendered tribes. Take a look, is there anyone you like? Their figures and faces are prettier than mine.”
As I spoke, I pinched the flesh on my lower abdomen. "I've already had two children, and I don't diet. My figure is bloated and I'm not suitable to serve important people. I already took advantage of you last time, so I'm too embarrassed to do it again this time."
He leaned closer again, nuzzling against me, breathing slightly heavily, "I just want you to take advantage of me."
With his naked body pressed against mine, my breathing became heavy. "You'd better get away from me."
No, I won't go away.
We kissed, and he kissed my lips hard, refusing to let go. I was so overwhelmed by his kiss that I almost fell into the water, but he caught my hips with one hand to keep me from falling.
I waved my hand, and the beauties by the pool all jumped into the water, surrounding him. I was easily pushed aside, and he was covered by the beauties. Their snow-white, slender arms were like man-eating branches, enveloping and swallowing his hair, neck, collarbone, and chest. I laughed loudly and was about to climb up the edge of the pool when I was pulled down by a huge force from behind. Caught off guard, I screamed and fell into the water...
The first breeze of the morning drifted through the cracks in the window, and I woke up.
The Elf King lay beside me. He was naked, and his strong, beautiful physique was very attractive. I had barely opened my eyes when one of his powerful arms reached out and wrapped around me tightly.
"Perhaps your wish will come true this time," I said.
With his eyes closed, he asked me vaguely, "What is your wish?"
"The desire to have a child."
"That depends on my luck. I know you've been taking contraceptives."
I laughed out loud, "Maybe you secretly switched my medicine, which allowed you to successfully launch a sneak attack."
He opened his eyes and replied with a smile, "This kind of thing can only be done once; it won't work if you do it too many times."
I sat up with a smile, wrapping my naked body in my robe. "Did you have fun last night?"
"I'm happy when I overcome all obstacles and pull you into the water."
"You launched a sneak attack; that's really bad."
"You're also doing something very bad by bringing in foreign players."
I burst into laughter, laughing until I could hardly breathe. "Were you not satisfied with those beauties? Well, then, the beauties in your secret realm are indeed much prettier."
"Sometimes what men care about isn't how beautiful a woman is, but whether she's attractive enough."
We spent most of the day together, eating, walking, and bathing together, until evening. He went to his temporary study to handle official business, while I wandered around, ostensibly to rest, as I had been busy for several days.
Around the corner, I met Nasiah.
When he saw me, he seemed a little embarrassed and avoided me, probably still remembering the "frankness" we shared in the hot spring yesterday.
"What a coincidence!" I smiled and walked towards him. "Want to have dinner together?"
"No, thank you," he quickly refused.
"Come on, we're old friends."
He couldn't refuse me, so he had to go to dinner with me. Dinner was simple: a plate of roast meat, a fruit and vegetable salad, and a fish soup.
"Don't be fooled by the fact that there are only three dishes; fish is a rare and expensive commodity in the Western Regions," I said.
"Thank you for your hospitality, madam," Nacia said politely.
I squinted and smiled at him: "You used to be a princess of Black Castle. When you saw me, a laborer, working hard for you every day, did you ever think that one day I would become the ruler of the royal city?"
“I hadn’t thought about it,” Nasiah answered honestly.
My status at the time was so low that it wouldn't attract his attention.
“Speaking of which, only Mamboa has been the best to me,” I said. “Only he remembered to save me, while you all rushed off to save yourselves.”
He smiled warmly, “Only fools dwell on the past; wise men always look forward. I believe your wife is wise.”
"I will be a fool when it is in my interest to be a fool; I will be a wise man when it is in my interest to be a wise man."
He smiled faintly, took a small sip of fish soup, stood up, and said, "I have already received your kind hospitality, Madam. I have something to attend to later, so I will take my leave now."
He started to walk out, but froze after taking only two steps.
A sharp, gleaming dagger was already pressed against his neck. "Don't move," I said. "I'm the kind of person who always repays kindness and avenges wrongs. Back then, you captured me as a horse thief and threw me into the secret realm to help your master escape his predicament. After you escaped, you betrayed me and helped your husband to put me to death. Tell me, shouldn't I take revenge? If you were me, wouldn't you?"
He stood frozen in place, not daring to move.
“You all treat me like a tool, using me and then discarding me. I’ve put up with you for far too long.” I slid the dagger along his neck. “You see I have a good temper and can’t fight back, so you bully me relentlessly, right?”
“Madam, you’ve misunderstood.” He tried his best to keep his voice steady. “I had no choice at the time.”
"You have no choice but to take my life?! How dare you!" I became angrier and angrier as I spoke, and I slashed his neck hard with the dagger. Blood gushed out, and he visibly flinched.
"Lana!" The Elf King's calm voice suddenly appeared behind me, "Stop!"
But I slashed Nasiah's neck again with the dagger, this time hard and forcefully, and Nasiah couldn't help but groan.
The Elf King quickly came over, snatched my dagger, and said calmly, "Don't go too far!"
I burst out laughing: "Then it wasn't too much for him to want my life back then?! By the way, you also ignored your sister's attempt to kill me back then, so you're one of the murderers too."
"Don't overthink it," the Elf King said gently. "We are all standing with you now."
I seemed to suddenly realize, "Oh right, you are no longer my enemies now, I should forget about the past."
He grabbed a napkin from the table and haphazardly wiped Nacia's neck, saying, "Sorry, let me wipe it for you."
Nacia wiped the bloodstains away violently, the pain causing him to stagger backward.
The Elf King immediately stopped me, grabbing my hand, "Enough!"
I laughed and said, "You can't even wipe his blood off? What can you do without upsetting your precious darling?"
The Elf King's face turned cold, and he turned and left, with Nacia quickly following behind.
In the study, I sat in a swivel chair listening to the reports from the guards.
"Lord Nacia returned to his room to bandage his wounds and told the guards that this woman had become a monster, probably had a miserable life, and hadn't managed to get a single man. The guards just laughed. The Elf King wasn't with him; he was in the makeshift study, continuing to handle official business," the guard said expressionlessly.
I waved my hand and said, "Okay, let me know if anything comes up."
"yes."
After the guards left, I took out the napkin stained with Nacia's blood and placed it on the map.
As I held my breath, a complete map finally appeared. I almost screamed with excitement, but I held back. I even gathered all the maps in the study to compare with this one.
But after comparing them for a long time, they still couldn't find a match.
"This is strange. Where am I? Is this really the way back to the modern world? If I go back, will I never have to come back?" I murmured to myself.
The Elf King will be leaving in two days. I begged him to let Anrea stay a few more days, expecting him to refuse, but to my surprise, he agreed.
Anleya, however, was somewhat reluctant. When she saw the Elf King agree, she pouted to one side. But she dared not disobey her father and silently accepted.
The Elf King smiled and said, "The reason I'm willing to keep her is twofold: first, I don't want her to truly become someone without a mother; second, I don't want you to think I'm too domineering."
"Thank you!" I said sincerely, truly grateful to him.
The Elf King left, and Nasiah followed him, his neck still wrapped in blood-stained gauze, which, in contrast to his handsome features, looked somewhat comical.
After they left, I immediately wrote to Mamboya, hoping he would send Yasmin over so that the sisters could have time together.
After sending the letter, I went to Anrea's room and told her a bedtime story. After I finished, I brought up Yasmin again.
"You also have a younger sister. She is the only relative in this world who shares the same mother as you. You should get along well."
An Leya didn't speak and covered her head with the blanket.
I sighed inwardly, tucked her in, and then left.
Two weeks later, Asmin arrived in the capital, still with her nanny. She was just over four years old. Perhaps because she was so young, Asmin rushed towards me as soon as she saw me, calling out "Mother." I hugged her tightly, overjoyed and not knowing what to do.
Anleya watched coldly from the side.
I hugged Anrea again, ignoring her slight struggles, and pulled her and Yasumin together.
After a few minutes, I let go, holding one child in each hand, and led them to the dining room to eat.
Asmin ate happily, talking about her experiences on the road as she ate. The little girl's language development was rapid; although she couldn't describe things precisely and her speech was somewhat incoherent, it was still understandable what she was saying.
Anleya remained silent, quietly eating her pancakes and drinking her milk.
After we finished eating, the two little girls were a bit sleepy, so I took them to bed. Before we even got to the room, Yasmin was already asleep in the nanny's arms, and the nanny carried her straight back to the room. I stayed with Anleya in another room to her small bed and told her a little story before she finally fell asleep.
After all that, I felt completely exhausted. Taking care of a child is really not easy, even with the help of a nanny and maid.
After that, I immediately started to develop a learning plan for my daughters—they would have private tutors for specialized courses, and they would also attend classes at a prestigious private school. The private tutors would help them learn more professionally, while the private school would help them develop their social skills.
After finishing the schedule, I thought about it and added a plan to attend a community school once a week. Expanding their social circles and letting them see things beyond their usual lives might help broaden their understanding and perspective.
Of course, this is only a tentative plan. If security issues arise in the future, this plan will have to be shelved.
