Aunt Ye was so excited that she didn't even have time to change her shoes. She casually put Potato, who was wearing a floral dress, on the ground and ran outside in her slippers.
She rushed to Lu Wanzheng, grabbed her arm, looked her up and down, then turned her over and looked her up and down again. Only after confirming that she was not injured did she breathe a sigh of relief.
"It's good that you're alright, it's good that you're alright, Amitabha, may the Bodhisattva protect you," Aunt Ye murmured.
Potato, who was just in a human's arms, was abandoned on the ground the next second. It was very angry and decided to ignore Aunt Ye for a while. But when it turned its head and saw a familiar figure at the door, none of that mattered anymore.
"Meow meow meow~" It took its short legs and ran towards Lu Wanzheng at what it thought was its fastest speed.
The gray fur peeking out from the back of the cat shimmered in the sunlight, its glossy color suggesting that Aunt Ye had been taking good care of Potato during this time.
Potato ran to Lu Wanzheng's feet, rubbed against her legs exposed to the sun, and made "meow meow meow" sounds.
Lu Wanzheng squatted down and picked up the meowing potato on the ground with both hands.
“Hey,” Lu Wanzheng tossed the potato in her hand, “You’ve gained weight since I last saw you. Aunt Ye must have been feeding you a lot.”
"Meow~"
After spending this time together, Aunt Ye grew to love the little guy. When she saw Lu Wanzheng talking about him, she immediately stepped in to smooth things over: "Potato is growing, so it's natural that it's getting heavier."
"Meow~" Potato echoed Aunt Ye's words, as if agreeing with the matter.
Potato nestled on Lu Wanzheng's arm, nuzzling against her. It was that familiar scent, that familiar embrace.
Xiao Qifeng walked out from the other side and saw the creature in Lu Wanzheng's arms. His eyes narrowed and he exuded a cold aura.
Potato suddenly shrank his neck, sensing a gaze as cold as winter.
Following that gaze, it saw a strange man, their lake-blue cat eyes meeting.
Xiao Qifeng stepped forward and took the potato out of Lu Wanzheng's arms.
"Meow meow meow~"
The potato instinctively struggled; how could something as sacred as it be held by a stinky man!
Seeing Potato wearing a pink dress, he subconsciously assumed she was a female cat and put away his previous stern expression.
"Who is this?" Before Aunt Ye could even clearly see Xiao Qifeng's appearance, a dark shadow covered her.
At this moment, Xiao Qifeng was facing away from the sun, and golden sunlight surrounded him, making him look like a dazzling god descending to earth.
Lu Wanzheng felt her arms suddenly empty. She turned to look at Xiao Qifeng, and was about to ask him what he wanted when she heard Aunt Ye ask again, "This is my boyfriend, Xiao Qifeng."
She also introduced Xiao Qifeng to "the aunt who has been taking care of me, Sister Ye."
"Hello, Sister Ye. You can just call me Xiao Xiao."
Upon hearing this, Aunt Ye's face lit up with joy. "Hello, hello, please come in and sit down."
Aunt Ye never expected that Lu Wanzheng would find such a handsome man on her trip. She finally felt like her daughter had grown up.
She gestured for Xiao Qifeng to come inside, saying, "Don't stand at the door."
Xiao Qifeng, carrying potatoes, was warmly welcomed inside by Aunt Ye.
Lu Wanzheng followed closely behind them.
Xiao Qifeng was forcibly pulled to the sofa by Aunt Ye and pressed down on it, and he was momentarily stunned.
Aunt Ye: "Xiao Xiao, what do you do for a living?"
Xiao Qifeng didn't expect Sister Ye to be so enthusiastic. Shouldn't she have made things difficult for the man under normal circumstances?
