There is also a glass room in the yard, not for growing flowers and plants, but for storing various nail tools and nail polish.
The door to the inner room was open, much like in an ordinary home; once inside was the living room.
The shop owner was sitting on the sofa, holding a design draft in his hand.
Lu Wanzheng knocked on the door, startling the shop owner.
The shop owner looked towards the door with a puzzled expression. She placed the design draft on the coffee table covered with a floral cloth, stood up from the sofa, and said, "Please come in, are you here for a manicure?"
She has been here for several months now. Because she often does free manicures for her neighbors, she has gotten along very well with them and has also met many people in the village.
The two people standing at the entrance looked unfamiliar; they must be tourists.
Lu Wanzheng saw the shop owner's appearance clearly and was momentarily stunned. Her appearance was that of a gentle and graceful woman from Jiangnan, with a unique temperament.
I never expected such a young and beautiful girl to come back to live here. Is she tired of the hustle and bustle of the city?
All of this remains unknown.
Lu Wanzheng nodded, "A little girl told us that they can do beautiful traditional Chinese style nail art here, so we came in to give it a try."
The shop owner came out from the back room and opened the studio door. "Do you two have a style you like? We also provide styles here, or you can provide your own drawings." She took her design book out of the cabinet and handed it to Lu Wanzheng and Yao Zijun.
Lu Wanzheng opened her design notebook, and every page inside was decorated with various nail designs, including landscapes, flowers, birds, insects, and fish.
"This one is in the ancient style. If you want a modern or classic design, I have design books here." The shop owner stood in front of the cabinet, preparing to take out the books.
Yao Zijun, however, didn't like the traditional style as much as Lu Wanzheng. "I want to see something modern."
Upon hearing this, the shop owner took out another design book from the cabinet and handed it to Yao Zijun.
"Take your time looking around, these are all drawings I made before."
Lu Wanzheng immediately spotted one of the many designs she had chosen. "I want to make this, is that okay?"
The shop owner looked at the design that was flipped open and exposed at the top. The main color was three greens, and the thumb, index finger and little finger were painted with only this color, but there were variations in light and dark, with the middle being darker and the edges being lighter.
On the middle and ring fingers, there is another small yellow goldfish playing among the water plants.
Are you sure you want to do this?
"Um."
The shop owner turned around and searched for the color he needed in a cabinet full of nail polish and various tools.
Holding three lights—green, yellow, and grass green—she sat down at her desk, turned on two light therapy lamps, and said, "Right hand."
Lu Wanzheng placed her right hand in front of the shop owner.
The shop owner began to devote himself entirely to painting.
Three of the fingers were easy to draw, and one finger was drawn quickly and placed in the light therapy lamp.
Lu Wanzheng then placed her left hand over.
Alternating between the two hands.
As soon as I finished drawing three fingers, Xiaohua found me through location sharing.
"So you were here all along! I've been looking for you for ages."
Xiao Hua walked into the workshop and sat down next to Yao Zijun.
Yao Zijun handed the nearly cold in-laws' cake to Xiaohua, saying, "Eat it quickly, I saved it especially for you."
Are you doing a manicure here?
"Hmm, do you want to do it? Together?" Yao Zijun moved the design book in her hand towards Wang Xiaohua.
Lu Wanzheng turned to look at Xiaohua, "I'll reimburse you for getting your nails done today."
Xiaohua was a little tempted when she heard this, but then she thought that she usually lived a very rough life and would definitely not pay attention to nail care, so it would be a waste to do it.
"I think I'll pass. I'll just watch you guys do it."
