Xiao Qifeng ate two bowls of rice. When he finished the last grain of rice in his bowl and was about to put down his chopsticks, a bowl of soup was pushed towards him. "I just tested it, and the soup is no longer hot."
Lu Wanzheng took another spoon from the side and put it into his bowl.
She saw the man in front of her put down his chopsticks, pick up the bowl she had placed on her right, stand up and ladle a bowl of soup for her, along with a small half-full bowl of meat bones.
His white shirt sleeves were rolled up at the elbows, revealing half of his muscular arms. As the bowl was placed in front of him, he stared intently at the girl in front of him.
"It's only fair to reciprocate. You seem to have lost some weight recently, so eat more meat."
Upon hearing this, Lu Wanzheng raised her free left hand and touched her face. She couldn't say she was extremely thin, but at least she had some flesh on her body, and she felt that she was even more fleshy than before.
During this period, she did nothing but sleep and eat, and otherwise just lay on the sofa. How could she possibly lose weight? If that were the case, her physique would be the envy of countless women.
This is probably similar to the widely circulated saying, "There's a kind of coldness that your mom thinks you feel," while hers is "There's a kind of thinness that your boyfriend thinks you're thin."
"I've gained weight recently, my face is quite chubby." That's what she said, but her hands were very honest, scooping up a piece of meat bone and putting it in her mouth, chewing it carefully.
"Isn't it good to be a little chubby? Chubby girls are cute." Xiao Qifeng didn't care. He just felt that Lu Wanzheng was too thin and light to hold, so it didn't feel real.
Lu Wanzheng swallowed the meat in her mouth. "Men all like to tell girls they like, 'You're cute when you're a little chubby,' but when they don't like a girl anymore, all they'll say is, 'You're as fat as a pig,' with undisguised disgust in their eyes."
"Yeah, that kind of man is such a scumbag." He and Lu Wanzheng both condemned this two-faced man, and he didn't forget to promise, "I'll definitely be the one who keeps praising you."
"Um."
Xiao Qifeng was slightly taken aback when he suddenly heard the voice of agreement from the other side.
"I believe Mr. Xiao is very serious about relationships, and you are fundamentally different from those hypocritical scumbags I just mentioned."
Those scumbags are nothing more than people who want to show off when they're in a relationship, pretending to be a devoted and good man. After breaking up, they constantly seek a sense of superiority from their ex-girlfriends, constantly belittling the girl who once liked them, thinking that she is not good enough for their noble selves.
The kitchen primarily uses white light, supplemented by small orange lights and wall lamps. The white light is bright yet soft, unlike the dazzling colors of neon lights or the glare of sunlight, while the orange light is dim and soft. When both are turned on, the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
"Thank you for your trust, Miss Lu." Xiao Qifeng picked up his bowl, wanting to clink it with Lu Wanzheng's. Such a wonderful atmosphere and mood, it would be a pity not to have wine. He could only use the bowl filled with soup to "cheers".
Lu Wanzheng readily picked up the bowl, the gentle clinking of the white porcelain bowls against each other sounding exceptionally pleasant at that moment. Xiao Qifeng finished the soup and ate a few pieces of pork ribs, feeling completely full.
Seeing that Lu Wanzheng was still engrossed in eating, he moved the braised prawns that had been in front of her to his own.
Suddenly glancing sideways, she noticed that Xiao Qifeng had moved her favorite shrimp away. She looked up in a panic, "If you want to eat it, just eat it. Why did you move it away?" Her small mouth was red and plump because she had just eaten a piece of meat and there was a layer of oil on it.
