Lu Wanzheng, a person who was kicked out of her home, is actually able to live here.
It took her a full half-hour drive to get to Lu Wanzheng's house.
Looking at the luxurious villa in front of her, Yao Zijun was so surprised that she couldn't move her legs.
Aunt Ye heard that someone was coming, so she waited at the door early.
Upon seeing Yao Zijun, they immediately invited her in.
As Yao Zijun entered the villa, her mind raced with anxiety.
She's actually a wealthy man's agent! She's really made something of herself!
Aunt Ye led Yao Zijun to the living room, served her freshly brewed tea, and placed it in front of her.
"Miss Yao, please wait a moment, Wanzheng will be down shortly." After saying that, Aunt Ye went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
As if remembering something, Aunt Ye stopped and turned around to ask, "Miss Yao, have you had breakfast yet? If not, I'll prepare an extra portion."
"have eaten."
Aunt Ye nodded and went straight to the kitchen.
After seeing that Aunt Ye had left, Yao Zijun sat on the sofa, picked up the teacup in front of her, and looked around.
Although the house was large, it wasn't very well-furnished. There were only some essential pieces of furniture and not much else. There were a few photos hanging on the walls, though.
Unlike the house she had imagined, which was filled with antiques and calligraphy, this house was no different from any other house except that it was a little bigger than a normal house.
Yao Zijun took a sip of tea. It was very fragrant. Even someone like her who didn't know much about tea could tell that the tea leaves were of very good quality.
Setting down her cup, Yao Zijun walked over to a photograph.
A woman wore a light green cheongsam embroidered with pale blue peonies and several auspicious clouds embroidered with silver thread. Her every move was as graceful as a willow swaying in the wind. Her hair was styled in a bun, revealing her temples. She had delicately painted eyebrows and eyes that seemed to hold spring in them. Her skin was as smooth and lustrous as warm jade.
She has the typical appearance of a well-bred young lady.
She was holding a cute little girl in her arms. Upon closer inspection, the two girls even looked somewhat alike, so they must be mother and daughter.
A boy of about ten years old was standing next to the woman.
The child's appearance hasn't fully developed yet, but just looking at his youthful face, you can tell he'll definitely grow up to be a handsome young man.
Although his smile was faint, his eyes and brows were full of gentleness and joy, and his dark eyes shone with light.
The photo has a date in the lower right corner, which is twenty years old. It must have been preserved very carefully by the person who took it, as the photo is very well preserved, with no fading at all, and looks like a brand new photo.
There are several similar photos, but not many of them feature the very elegant woman.
"The woman on top is my mother, the little girl inside is me, and the boy next to her is my uncle."
A clear, crisp voice came from behind Yao Zijun.
Yao Zijun turned her head, feeling embarrassed as if she had been caught red-handed. After all, she had wandered around and looked at other people's things without their permission.
Lu Wanzheng, however, didn't care and walked to Yao Zijun's side. She took down the photo that Yao Zijun had seen first from the wall.
Her amber eyes were filled with longing. "My mother was beautiful, wasn't she? In my memory, she has always looked like this. Even after many years, her appearance hasn't changed much. I wonder if she still looks the same now."
Upon hearing this, Yao Zijun subconsciously raised her right hand, raising it halfway in the air before finally lowering it.
She didn't know much about Lu Wanzheng's family; all she could do was to do her job well.
