Chapter 311 The Fat Bird Attacks!?

Mingmei and her group have already gathered 100 people here, a full 100 people.

As the first snowflake fell from the sky, eight houses had already been built on this open space thanks to everyone's concerted efforts. Each house was divided into three or four rooms, and even with the crowds squeezing in, more than half of the people were still able to live there.

The remaining players still live in the cave not far away.

Although caves are not as warm as houses, many heated brick beds were built in the caves because it was estimated that the houses might not be able to meet everyone's needs before winter arrived.

In addition, a wooden door was built at the entrance of the cave, and animal hides and hay were placed on it to keep out the wind. A group of Sheniu players were more willing to live in the cave, and even made a few decks of playing cards for entertainment!

It's enough to practice boxing and aerobics indoors.

After all, this place used to be able to fit a hundred people.

Thinking about it this way, several people are crammed into one room in that house, and a dozen or so people live in one building. Now that the heavy snow has blocked the door, they can't go anywhere. How big is that house for them to wander around?

Nothing is more comfortable than a cave.

"Wow! How did people survive in this cold weather before?"

Unable to bear the cramped space inside the house, Lu Xiaoyao, wrapped in animal skin, ran all the way from the house to the cave to chat with the Zhen brothers. She hadn't even sat down on the kang (heated brick bed) yet when she came in; she immediately sat down by the fire and started complaining about the damn weather.

"I really wanted to talk about that post-apocalyptic instance; it was absolutely deadly when it got cold!" www.cascoo.net

"That's different. At least in the post-apocalyptic dungeon, there were clothes to cover your bodies. But here... ugh... sewing animal hides yourself is really... too difficult! Why doesn't anyone in this group awaken their sewing skills?"

"Why would I awaken this skill? To make you a seamstress?"

Lu Xiaoyao rolled her eyes at the player who said that, but she did know that Wang Wenfei seemed to be fussing over something recently, and Merita had gotten her a lot of furry animal hides.

As a result, Merita almost got into a fight with someone when the animal hides were being distributed.

"Hey, have a piece of grilled meat."

As she spoke, Zhen Po handed a piece of dark, hard but fragrant roasted meat jerky to Lu Xiaoyao. Lu Xiaoyao took it, hissed, but didn't move.

"What's wrong?"

"I've been eating meat every day for the past few days, and my teeth hurt."

"You're asking for it!"

The others laughed when they heard Lu Xiaoyao's words. Although they laughed too, they knew that if they said this, those players who didn't know where they were might not have as much food as they did now.

The players were warming themselves by a fire in the cave when suddenly a tearing sound came from outside.

"Um?"

The first to react, Hugo, wielding a bone knife, darted to the cave entrance like a gust of wind. Before he could even get close to the wooden door to check what was happening outside, he suddenly heard a loud crash from the door!

Hugo, filled with surprise and doubt, gripped the bone knife in his hand and took two steps back, his eyes fixed on the wooden door, wondering what was rushing to the entrance of the cave.

"Holy crap! What's going on?"

The commotion startled the players in the other caves as well.

"Have wild animals broken in?"

"That's not right! Our cave is at the very back of the village. If there were wild animals, wouldn't no one have warned us?"

Amidst the commotion, in the newly built house, Mingmei and Muchen were watching Wang Wenfei finally manage to set up a spinning wheel to spin yarn when suddenly darkness fell through the not-so-bright window, plunging the entire house into darkness.

"Hmm? It's getting dark?"

This rapid change startled Mingmei and the others, but the others in Mu Chen's room suddenly became alert and got up, turned around and went back into the room to pick up their weapons. As a result, when they suddenly opened the door, a large clump of feathers suddenly squeezed in from outside.

Bright and beautiful: ? ? ?

Everyone: ? ? ?

The main entrance was completely stuffed with feathers, making it impossible to see what was going on outside. Mu Chen struggled to open the light brown resin window again, only to find it was still filled with feathers.

Mu Chen: ?

What the hell is this thing?

Did the snow turn into fur as it fell?

Cave.

"Holy crap! What is this thing?!"

The wooden door at the cave entrance made a series of trembling sounds. Everyone prepared their weapons, and just as Hugo opened the door, ready to rush out and catch the enemy off guard, the door shattered!

A huge, orange-red bird's beak came into view.

"My God!"

Everyone retreated deeper into the cave, and even Hugo was pulled back by the people beside him. Just by looking at the bird's beak, it was clear that the bird's size was beyond their imagination.

But at least this way they won't be afraid that the bird will be able to get in.

Although they tried to comfort themselves with these thoughts, the thick layer of dry grass that had covered the wooden door to block the wind had disappeared, and the animal hide that had covered it inside had been picked up by the bird's beak right in front of them.

It seems like they have no interest in them.

It was as if they didn't look as appetizing as the food on each other's plates.

After Bird Head left the cave entrance, the howling north wind and heavy snow outside almost made them cry from the cold because there was no door!

"We've been here for so long and we don't think we've ever seen this bird before."

"Yeah, I've never seen them before. I heard that there used to be wild beasts that flew back here and large birds that ate carrion. They even came to cause trouble when we were building houses. Are these the same kinds of creatures?"

"No, later Madison and my classmates found an opportunity to kill a few of those guys. Plus, Mu Chen and my brother led some people to chase and beat them up a couple of times. They were all beaten so badly that they had to slink away with their tails between their legs. This guy probably just appeared out of nowhere."

Lu Xiaoyao shook her head; she was certain that this thing had appeared suddenly.

"I'm going to the cave entrance to see what that thing looks like!"

Hugo, having wrapped himself tightly in his animal skin clothing, once again boldly went to the cave entrance and glanced at the swirling snow outside.

Just one glance, and another "Holy crap!" expressed his horror!

"What's wrong? What happened?"

"What's wrong? Say something."

When the group saw Hugo standing at the cave entrance, dumbfounded and staring blankly, they immediately shouted out.

"The house is gone."

"What?!"

Upon hearing that the house was gone, everyone rushed to the cave entrance and looked in the direction of the house—only to see an enormous bird perched on the spot where they had previously built the house.

Because of the enormous size of the bird, the eight houses arranged in an inverted V-shape were completely covered.

For a moment, everyone wondered if all those houses would collapse from the weight of that big fat bird sitting on them.

The fat bird seemed oblivious to the situation at the cave entrance. With the dry grass and animal hides it had just pulled back from the cave still in its beak, it slowly tidied them up for a moment before silently stuffing them into its belly right in front of Tiger and the others.

It's completely treating that place it's occupied as its den!

"This is fucking..."

Hugo was dumbfounded, and so were Lu Xiaoyao and the others. This situation was completely unexpected!
