"The people from the Empire, and a few from the Federation's Third and Fourth Military Academies, both men and women, are just on a normal vacation. The sea view on Weixing is beautiful. I told them before I came back. Grandpa, you won't disagree just because there are people from the Empire among them, will you?"
Seeing that Kent didn't agree immediately, Merita frowned and whispered, "Our teacher also said that times are changing, and the relationship between the Empire and the Federation..."
"Do you see me as such an old-fashioned person?"

"So, Grandpa, you agree?"
Kent nodded under Merita's excited and expectant gaze, then added, "You used to like to party with those ladies around this time of year, but if you don't this year, people will inevitably gossip."
Kent hadn't really approved of what Merita was doing before, but some things can't be cut off so easily.
Sure enough, upon hearing this, Merita frowned and pouted, saying somewhat unhappily, "I don't want to play with them anymore."
Merita had always known that most of the people she associated with were just trying to curry favor with her and that none of them were truly sincere, but she didn't care.
But now that she has made some really good friends, she suddenly remembers those people who approached her with various ulterior motives and no longer wants to have any contact with them.
Kent sighed and said, "I know that our Merita has grown a lot, but Grandpa wants to tell you something else today—when you stay away from a group of people with ulterior motives, another group of people with evil intentions will try every means to appear in front of you."
"Grandpa, what do you mean...?"
Kent smiled slightly: "How about you use your now clear eyes to get to know the people around you again?"
