Chercil looked at almost everyone present.
"You're here?"
It was only then that Cheshire noticed the bright sunshine.
"Hmm." Mingmei nodded, her eyes darting between her sides before she asked in a low voice, "Is something wrong?"
“No, your starship is over there.” Chesil shook his head, pointed to the starship at the front, looked at Mingmei with encouragement in his eyes, and told Mingmei to go up first.
"Your brother has already flown to his assessment location." When saying this, Sher didn't lower his voice, and patted Mingmei's shoulder to let her leave first.
Mingmei turned away, suppressing her doubts, and slowly nodded before turning to leave. The next second, Chesil behind her was already chatting with another teacher who had come to greet them.
Mingmei suppressed the urge to look back, and only breathed a sigh of relief when she found her seat on the starship and sat down.
"You did a great job just now."
As soon as Mingmei sat down, Mu Chen appeared beside her and handed her a small cookie.
He had been watching Mingmei's every reaction from not far away on the tarmac, including what happened to Chesil right after she left.
"Did you have breakfast this morning?" Without continuing the previous conversation, Mu Chen looked at Mingmei's expression as she ate a few dry biscuits and couldn't help but ask.
"I drank some nutritional supplements in the dormitory."
After finishing Mu Chen's cookies in a few bites, Mingmei breathed a sigh of relief.
Mu Chen knew that she didn't like the nutrient solution.
However, whenever she gets nervous, she doesn't want to eat and instead skips meals and drinks nutritional supplements.
Brightly lit up her seat by the starship window, she finished her cookies and turned to look out the window, but from this angle she couldn't see in Chercil's direction.
"Just now, I felt like someone was watching me from behind, not my second sister-in-law's gaze..."
Mingmei turned her head and whispered these words to Mu Chen. Mu Chen smiled gently and said, "That's why I said earlier that you did a good job of not looking back."
