The sudden appearance of a group of teachers was just a minor incident.
This was certainly true for Mingmei, but for the other woman, Hu Yue, sitting behind her, it was no small matter.
Her homeroom teacher, Denise, sat next to her.
Lu Gui knew to avoid Dennis's sharp edge, so he pretended to be asleep, leaving Hu Yue to face Dennis alone.
"I heard your brother is back?"
Hu Yue broke out in a cold sweat at Dennis's words.
A terrified little voice inside her was jumping around, vowing to beat her brother a hundred and eighty times!
She'd been back for almost half a month and hadn't had time to see her former homeroom teacher. When she had a spare moment, she took a stroll around the school and accidentally kicked down the classroom door—it was just her brother there!
"Hmm...you're back. I heard you were out conducting research, so I didn't want to bother you." Hu Yue was also surprised that Dennis had returned a week early from his studies abroad.
Judging from this, her homeroom teacher was clearly aware of the plan and had also become involved.
With her homeroom teacher sitting there, she momentarily forgot that she had a tough battle ahead of her.
"Seriously, there aren't any students from our class on this starship." Per and some of the teachers were sitting at the stern of the starship, which gave them a good opportunity to look at all the students.
There really wasn't anyone from their class.
“It was all by lottery, and none of our classes got one.” Another male teacher smiled as if it were normal, and added, “But I heard that our starship isn’t as well-equipped as the others, so we’re lucky not to have been assigned here.”
“Is that so?” Per’s eyes flickered, his gaze falling on the students at the front, as if joking, “Then it’s a shame for these students…”
Mingmei sensitively sensed once again that she was being watched.
"Mu Chen".
Mingmei sat there quietly and called out softly without making a sound.
"What's wrong?"
"Someone is watching me. The gaze isn't obvious, but I can feel it." After Mingmei finished speaking, Mu Chen subconsciously covered Mingmei with the thin blanket on the seat.
Just then, he turned his body and looked discreetly behind Mingmei, past Dennis who was resting with his eyes closed and releasing a low-pressure atmosphere, and Hu Yue who was trembling beside him. His gaze fell on the last group of teachers who were chatting and laughing.
There's a dangerous creature watching Mingmei from inside...
Are you thirsty?
Mu Chen was just as perceptive of how others looked at him as he was of those who looked at Mingmei.
Hearing Mu Chen suddenly ask this question, Mingmei did not show any surprise.
"Hmm, I want to drink juice." Ming
Mei paused for only half a second before immediately agreeing, and no one noticed anything amiss despite the attentive attention of those around her.
"They have such a good relationship!"
As Perle spoke, she watched as Mu Chen showed concern for Mingmei, even personally carrying a cup to fetch drinks from the back of the house. Seeing this, she couldn't help but sigh repeatedly.
"Yes, my family has met him, and my parents seem to like Mu Chen very much."
Cheshire didn't hide anything, speaking casually about the relationship between Mingmei and Muchen.
Other teachers joked and teased them about whether they would get married after graduation, to which Cheryl just laughed and didn't respond to their gossip.
Listening to Mei Qiu's words, Cheshire knew that Mingmei and Muchen seemed to have some unresolved issues, and wondered if it would affect their relationship later on.
Upon hearing this, Per changed the subject and asked, "Meiqiu and Mingmei are so outstanding, their parents must be very capable as well, right?"
"Yes, my in-laws are indeed very impressive."
Cheshire answered with a smile, but while he admitted it, he didn't want to say more.
Just how powerful is it? This made Per, who had brought up the topic but hadn't gotten any answers, extremely uncomfortable.
"Really? I'm really curious, what kind of parents can raise such amazing children?"
When Per saw that Cecil wasn't responding, he tried to get her to talk: "Like me, I don't have a boyfriend yet. Sometimes I dream about how I'll raise my children, but I can't imagine it at all."
Upon hearing this, Cheryl remained silent with a smile, ignoring her words.
Hilarious! Can she say that her husband was raised by uncles who are not related to her by blood?
Even though her sister-in-law is currently the darling of the group, she was raised by her sisters who supported each other and were pampered by her godfather. As for her in-laws, they should be the ones who contributed their excellent and strange genes.
She mustn't let her in-laws hear this.
Seeing that Cheshire didn't speak, Perl gritted his teeth inwardly, but then acted as if nothing had happened and started talking to other teachers. Meanwhile, Mu Chen, carrying juice, had somehow passed by them and gone back.
"You noticed?"
Bright and beautiful, who had just received the juice, asked this question in a low voice.
"Hmm, that person, Per Leeland, the head teacher of the statistics class in the logistics building, is acting strangely." Mu Chen sat down and carefully fastened his seatbelt, his lips moving slightly.
"oh."
Mingmei really wanted to say that apart from Chesil, she only knew the Zhen brothers and Hu Yue's homeroom teacher; she didn't know anyone else.
Even if Mu Chen revealed his full name and which class he was in, it wouldn't make a difference.
"It's that female teacher who wears a silver-blue combat uniform and has her hair in a brown bun."
Seeing Mingmei lost in thought while holding the juice, Mu Chen's words touched her heart.
"good."
Mingmei nodded slightly, then glanced at the time on the starship; half an hour had passed since they took off.
At least in the short term, a sneak attack is unlikely to occur.
