"How come I'm a bug?!"
"Why?"
"Why?!"
Mingmei stared blankly at the "Starfire Insect" wriggling up and down beside her, its mournful cries echoing through the air. She didn't know how much time had passed, but the insect's various gurgling sounds clearly showed how deeply saddened Val was, a sadness that emanated from within.
However, this made Mingmei realize a problem.
What makes the other person sad is whether they feel humiliated for being an insect, or whether they know that playing an insect is actually very bad, which is why they act this way?
After going crazy for half a day, Waldo gradually regained his senses. He turned his head and saw Mingmei, dressed as the Black Beetle, watching him from afar.
Waldo: "Young man, we..."
"I don't know him." Mingmei said and immediately ran away. She knew exactly what had happened before the Starfire Worm made its move!
This guy, he turns into an insect and acts like this but won't let anyone see it.
Mingmei ran fast, but she soon discovered that she was being met by a massive army of Zerg.
"Run!!"
Fortunately, the game didn't go so far as to make players use the Zerg's communication method after they turned into insects. With the public channel open, everyone present—no, every insect—could hear it clearly.
Mingmei's eyes widened slightly, and she instinctively started running with the group, asking as she ran, "What's going on?"
"There are mechs behind us!" a Zerg player, acting as the pseudo-mother, shouted as he ran. "And starships too! Those guys kill any Zerg they see!"
Sure enough, Mingmei knew there was a trap in this game; no wonder Waldo looked like that.
"Damn it! This game is so badly designed! How can I play as a Zerg? Why did I become a bug?" Another player wailed, questioning how the game could be so bad.
He felt insulted. He clearly hated the Zerg, yet he had to play the Zerg.
Who could bring themselves to do that?
Those humans who were chasing him were all figures he had imagined!
Good grief, I can't live with myself if I fight back, but I'll die if I don't!
"Damn it! How come someone was so quick? They chose humans as soon as they entered the game. Now it's all bugs, how embarrassing..."
Before the bright, unrecognized Zerg player could finish speaking, he was blasted into dust by a single shot from the catching-up starship.
Bright and beautiful!
The insects: !!!
"Run!"
"Holy crap! Are you serious?"
The sudden death of an insect caused a sense of tension among the military academy students who were in the game. Although they had been hiding from the pursuers, seeing their comrades suddenly gone made them want to turn back and fight again.
Moreover, Mingmei felt that people might not have truly realized how powerful they were now as Zerg.
Firstly, in terms of size, Mingmei felt confident that with the size and abnormal defensive power of her current Black Beetle General, she could easily teach the warships and mechs that were frantically chasing them a lesson if she turned around and charged forward.
Secondly, Mingmei moved her body and just dodged an armor-piercing bullet. She watched as the armor-piercing bullet blew the pseudo-mother, whom she had been inquiring about earlier, to smithereens. A bunch of small insects that had been blown out of the pseudo-mother's belly floated around her, forced to wake up, and directly devoured the pseudo-mother's body and grew larger.
Then Mingmei saw the group of miniature pseudo-mothers fly back directly towards the group of warships...
