Chapter 6 The Cycle of Heaven

The so-called plot is actually just all the players having dinner together.

This gives everyone a chance to get together.

However, after thinking about it, Mingmei realized that it was probably impossible to get together now.

"Ah, I know it has to wait until dark, but it feels like it'll take forever~"

Lu Xiaoyao pouted and walked to Mingmei's side. Mingmei was sitting there and looked up at her. Lu Xiaoyao stared at Mingmei's face with infatuation. She also looked at Mingmei's long, slightly wavy, elastic, and shiny black hair that looked very nice to touch.

Thinking this, she reached out to touch it again.

Mingmei: ...

Sister, do you have social butterfly syndrome?

I don't know if it was because the hair was so easy to touch, but in no time the sky outside really did get dark, and lanterns were hung under the eaves of the house.

However, it is a rare red color.

It's a bit eerie to see red on an ordinary day.

The red light emitted by the red lanterns was not strong; instead, it made the surrounding scenery under the dark night sky with its light rain seem somewhat eerie, unlike anything in the mortal world.

At this moment, a servant entered from outside and respectfully invited the two women to move to the flower hall next door for dinner.

Lu Xiaoyao perked up completely and, pulling Mingmei along, followed the servant toward the flower hall.

Along the way, the group walked under the eaves, their bright eyes lowered, falling on the stone slabs paved beneath their feet. They glanced at the servant in front of them on their left, with Lu Xiaoyao beside her, completely unaware of what was happening.

For a moment, Mingmei didn't know whether she should offer any advice or not.

What are you looking at?

Before she could speak, Lu Xiaoyao noticed Mingmei's absent-mindedness.

Upon hearing this, Mingmei glanced at the servant who had led the way but remained indifferent out of the corner of her eye. Without saying a word, she simply pointed to the servant's lower body.

"What……"

Lu Xiaoyao casually looked in the direction the other person was pointing, and immediately gasped!

Holy crap! It's the other person's foot!

Rainwater dripping from the eaves splashed onto the servant's feet, leaving a dark footprint on the ground with each step. His black trousers and shoes visibly turned into white... paper!

Lu Xiaoyao opened her mouth wide, looking like she was about to scream, but the next second Mingmei covered it with her hand.

"Hmm!"

"Shh-"

Lu Xiaoyao blinked and looked at Mingmei, who was covering her mouth. Seeing Mingmei put her index finger to her lips in a shushing gesture, Lu Xiaoyao blinked tremblingly and silently squeezed back the tears welling up in her eyes, so as not to scream out in fright.

"Ladies?"

As if sensing that the two hadn't moved, Xiao turned around after taking a couple more steps. It seemed that rainwater from outside the eaves had splashed onto one side of her face, leaving a strange reddish-purple stain.

The other person's completely black eyes were staring at her, which made Lu Xiaoyao shiver again, and cold sweat poured down her back!

Mommy! Help! Help!

"Yes, she's here. She's a little cold because of the rain."

Mingmei acted as if nothing had happened, raising her chin to signal the other person to continue leading the way. She then took Lu Xiaoyao's arm and led her forward as if nothing had occurred.

However, heaven knows, Lu Xiaoyao had no intention of moving forward at this moment!

Her body was stiff and her limbs were rigid. She seemed to want to stomp her feet and root herself to the ground. Her chin was folded up three times in protest!

LOL!

As the saying goes, karma is a cycle, and no one escapes the wrath of Heaven.

Now, Mingmei and Lu Xiaoyao's situation is completely reversed from what it was during the day.

During the day, Mingmei didn't want to come here, but the other party forcibly dragged her here, and now it's the other way around—Mingmei is pulling Lu Xiaoyao along to keep moving forward.

If we were to add an animation effect, Lu Xiaoyao's heels would be sparking from the struggle!

Lu Xiaoyao is truly mentally broken now!

Someone please save her!

Lu Xiaoyao: Help me! Help me! Someone please help me!

[Hilarious! Did you see the look of complete resistance on Yao Yao's face?]

[Hahaha, I was scared to death before, but then I remembered that Yao Yao chose all of this herself, and I feel like I can do it again, hahaha!]

Although I feel sorry for him, please allow me to laugh for two minutes first, hahaha!

[Hahaha, girl, walk slowly, Daddy's laughing behind you!]

A group of people in the live chat were laughing, thankfully Lu Xiaoyao didn't see it.

When they finally arrived at the flower hall, Young Master Zhang, Master Zhang, and three other players were already seated, leaving only the two of them.

When Lu Xiaoyao and Mingmei sat down, Master Zhang, who had just appeared, greeted everyone with a smile and invited them to dine together. He then instructed the servants to serve the dishes.

During the serving of dishes, although many candles were lit in the room, the flickering candlelight caused by the people carrying the dishes back and forth created a dim and gloomy atmosphere.

By the candlelight, her bright gaze fell upon the shadows cast by the candlelight around her, and the expression on her face almost cracked!

The figures depicted are completely different from the real people.

What the hell is that white patch between the figure and its body?!

There was also a dark figure missing half its body!

Upon realizing this, Mingmei's heart began to crumble.

[I was wrong, Gui Gui. I shouldn't have started by selling lunchboxes to players right at the beginning.]

【Hmm? What are you going to do?】

[Paying respects to the local authorities.]
