Receiving news from the federal government now is not a good sign.
"Aren't you temporarily unable to get a signal here?"
Mu Chen looked at the message from the Federation and remembered that Guderian had just said with a troubled expression that he couldn't send a signal.
The result was a swift and painful reversal.
"The starship's communication system has been modified, with a dedicated reception channel for the Federation. No matter where you are, even in areas with poor signal, this signal will be guaranteed to be received."
That's very much like the style of a military legion, but when used among space pirates, it seems more like a means of intelligence gathering.
Guderian spoke softer and softer.
After all, this is blatantly admitting that there are people in the Federation colluding with space pirates. If there is any disturbance, such as the Federation sending troops to wipe out space pirates, they will receive the news first.
Are you sure it's from the Federation?
Guderian immediately glared at Mu Chen, his tone serious: "What do you mean? Our Empire would never do such a thing! You wait, I'll decipher this signal for you right away, and you'll know at a glance that it must be some message from the Empire!"
Seeing Guderian's reaction, Mu Chen knew that he had misunderstood.
He was just confirming the source of the signal; he didn't say it was either the Federation or the Empire.
They could also be space pirates.
Mu Chen wanted to laugh at Guderian's serious expression, but he didn't say anything. He just looked at the signal and raised the speed of the starship by another level, saying, "It's too far from the border of the Empire from Ancient Blue Star."
Looking at the three-dimensional star map, they realized that to reach the border of the Empire, they would have to pass through the vicinity of the Federation. Given the relationship between the space pirates on this starship and some figures within the Federation, if it were discovered that their starship had been replaced, there would be no way they could reach the Empire safely.
"Then will you speed up now?"
Guderian looked at Mu Chen, who was flying without turning at all, and saw no sign of fear towards the Federation.
But just as he thought that, the next second he stared wide-eyed as Mu Chen's starship began to make a sharp turn!
"No, no, where are you flying to?!"
...
"I still feel like something's not right."
When Mingmei, who had just sold boxed lunches, was alone in her room looking out at the vast space, she was bored and asked Guigui to read her the history of Hualan Star. When Guigui finished reading the first part about the ancient inhabitants of Hualan Star, Mingmei frowned.
"I'll take another look myself." Without letting Gui Gui read it, Mingmei carefully read the contents herself.
[Host, what's wrong?]
Seeing Mingmei's expression and the way she kept reading that piece of history, Gui Gui also sensed that something was wrong.
“The location of Ancient Blue Star is wrong.” Mingmei thought of the border problem of Ancient Blue Star. Compared with the current Hua Lan Starfield, Ancient Blue Star is not only outside the scope of interstellar human activities, but it is also separated from the Empire by a Federation.
Why was this location ultimately discovered by both the Empire and the Federation?
Why would the imperial army appear in that location?
"Why did the Empire come here?" Mingmei couldn't understand. "Wait, the book didn't specify the exact location the Empire found in the end. So where exactly did we find it?"
Mingmei muttered to herself, and Guigui, hearing Mingmei's analysis, naturally helped her search as well. Finally, Guigui was surprised to realize a problem—[Host, it seems there really is no record. There's no record of where the ancient Blue Star survivors were found with their starships; it's only said that the space pirates all died fighting the insectoids.]
"Resist the Zerg? Are space pirates really that stupid? They could have run away, but instead they attacked the Zerg. Do you think they're some kind of folk heroes?"
...
"So, it's really just for catching bugs?"
After Guderian and Mu Chen deciphered the signal, they saw the direction Mu Chen changed and the final destination marked. Guderian thought Mu Chen's prediction was absolutely brilliant!
Mu Chen knew to turn around before he could even crack the signal!
"Yes, by the way, remember to reply to the other end of this signal that we've discovered traces of the Zerg, and tell them to send someone over." Mu Chen added after speaking, "Send them the coordinates of the ancient planet, Blue Star."
"What, what are you doing? Didn't you say you wanted to have less contact with the Federation? Why were you standing there giving out addresses and then walking back?"
Guderian was truly unable to fathom Mu Chen's thoughts.
"We misunderstood before, suspecting that the origin of this starship was related to the Federation, and we were worried that the Federation would discover us first and then silence us, so we frantically tried to find the Empire. But upon closer reflection, this signal channel, the space pirates on this starship and those people were never going to do business for one day."
As Guderian said, the space pirates on this starship have a long-standing cooperative relationship with someone in the Federation.
"so?"
"Therefore, the identity of this Zerg must be very special. The Federation has been investigating it and has even used the information network of the space pirates."
As Mu Chen spoke, he tapped his finger on the command screen and said, "That explains why the Empire would travel so far to be here. They are also looking for this Zerg."
"You mean the Empire also came to seize this Zerg? That's how they accidentally discovered the ancient Blue Star survivors on the starship together with the Federation, and because both sides were present and neither wanted to be the bad guy, everyone survived?!"
Guderian felt a chill run down his spine as he thought about it. It turned out that all the survivals were just the result of a power struggle between two strong individuals, with each taking a step back.
