Yuan Fang suddenly changed the subject, turned around, lowered his head, and rested it on Bai Xiao's shoulder, whispering, "I dreamt that I saw myself when I was just born. I was crying in the Queen's arms, and the Queen was saying something to try and keep my mother. I wanted to tell her that if she left, my father wouldn't come back, and even she wouldn't come back. But all I could say was sob..."
As Yuan Fang spoke, Bai Xiao raised her hand and gently patted his back, all the comfort turning into a tender caress.

He just didn't expect that His Majesty would regret it in the end.
"My aunt, the Queen, had a huge argument with His Majesty about this. In the end, I vaguely heard her say, 'That child's parents sacrificed themselves because of the mistakes the royal family made. Do you want to sacrifice another innocent child who could have escaped this curse?!'"
Bai Xiao: "..."
