"Holy crap! Are you even human?!"
The Third Legion might be targeted by the Zerg—this was something Pegasus and his seniors "found out" after capturing several suspicious Zerg members wandering around the Outer Sea.
Although these Zerg were stubborn and didn't reveal anything, even going so far as to self-destruct to cover it up, the more they did so, the more suspicious it seemed.
Pegasus isn't stupid. Now that the timeline has been established, even if these self-destructing and struggling Zerg are not related to the Third Legion's sneak attack, he still has to confirm it.
Otherwise, how could he have given the Third Army an early warning, and why would his close seniors still want to buy wedding houses there?
And that's how this matter was "discovered" ahead of time.
Some members of the Pegasus and Sixth Legion secretly supported the Lightfeather Starfield. After delivering the message, they waited in the border area where they met the Third Legion.
He hadn't originally planned to tell anyone about this, but then he remembered that the only acquaintance he had met in the game was Akabane, so he decided to let him know. But before he could even say anything, Akabane had already gotten involved.
After receiving Akabane's message, Tenma's fiery temper flared up and he nearly verbally abused the other person to death.
"I'm straight! Straight! You bastard, have you been eyeing me for a long time? You're pulling this stunt on me?!"
What do you mean by him telling his parents that she is his girlfriend?
In that instant, as the words "ruining one's reputation in old age" flashed through Tianma's mind, the string in his head snapped.
"Who isn't a straight man? Let me finish!"
Even through the screen, Akabane could feel Tenma's anger; he felt both annoyed and amused.
Does this person even use their brain?
Doesn't he even realize that Akabane would ever be interested in someone like him?
"Then explain yourself!"
Tianma's tone was anything but polite; it sounded like he was about to punch someone if they said anything wrong.
"They are my parents..."
Akabane briefly explained that he wanted his parents to avoid this disaster, but all his reasons were rejected.
In order to persuade them to leave the Lightfeather Starfield, he had to tell them some important reason, so he had to lie to them again, saying that he had found a girlfriend and that he was very busy. His girlfriend had finally managed to take leave and traveled all the way from the Azure Sky Starfield, and he couldn't bear to leave her all alone here.
Pegasus, whom I can't bear to part with: Yue!
Upon hearing that their son had a girlfriend, things changed completely. They immediately agreed, saying that as long as the other party didn't mind, they would definitely spend time with her.
"Then you should at least find a woman."
After hearing the whole story, Tianma realized that his reaction had been a bit too much, but he still felt awkward.
"I need to know her too. Have you ever met any female gamers from the game 'Alien Sea'? If you have, I'd be happy to cooperate with them."
"No." Tianma shook his head dejectedly. He was not only straight, but also a lonely straight man!
I know a female player with a snake-like appearance. If anyone knows her, should I introduce her to Akabane?
"That settles it then? By the way, is it safe over there now?"
Although he had asked Tenma for help, Akabane hesitated again when he thought about the role Tenma had gotten. If a fight broke out, he might have to participate in the battle because of his status. Was it really okay to entrust his parents to the other party?
"Is it alright here? After all, we're no longer in the Lightfeather Starfield, and we've secretly deployed a group of people here with the Third Legion. If a battle breaks out, our safety here is much better than on Haiyuan Star."
"You've made progress?" Pegasus's words revealed quite a bit of information, but that's precisely why Akabane felt even more uneasy: "If you know that, why didn't I sense anything on Haiyuan Star?"
"We can only remain on guard for now. After all, we don't have complete information. What if making any big moves causes panic among the public?"
It was unusual for Tenma to try and reason with Akabane, but Akabane frowned, seemingly dissatisfied. Seeing his expression, Tenma was curious and chuckled in surprise, saying, "Are you kidding me? You're usually so calm, why are you so flustered this time? Are you afraid of dying?"
"Yes, I'm afraid of dying."
Ignoring the bewildered Pegasus, Akabane curled his lips into a smile. He was not only afraid of dying, but he was also afraid of others dying, especially those who were good to him.
"Huh? You actually laughed?! Oh my god!"
When he saw Akabane suddenly smile at him, Tenma was both surprised and felt goosebumps all over his body.
"You've become obsessed with a game? You've sent your in-game parents away, but what about yourself? Are you out of your mind?"
When asked about Pegasus's question, Akabane simply glanced up calmly and said, "And what about you? The Sixth Legion has so many men, it's quite remarkable that an information broker like you, who values his life so much, actually made it to the front lines."
"What? So this is how my job is? All the seniors are rushing forward, and I can't stop them. Wouldn't it seem out of character if I didn't follow them?"
Tenma's face darkened, but he remained stubborn. However, remembering the seniors who had always taken good care of him, he couldn't bring himself to step back.
"Yeah?"
Akabane looked at Tenma's expression and clearly didn't believe him, but since Tenma didn't admit it, he didn't tease him any further.
"I'm entrusting my parents to you."
Finally, Akabane emphasized this matter once again with a very serious expression.
"If you fail and leave the game, I will definitely arrest you!"
They started with polite persuasion, then resorted to force, and finally even threatened each other.
"What the hell?! You're crazy!"
...
"The message wasn't sent?"
