Chapter 112 Can't be appeased

"Little Yu Nie, you've gone astray." Meng Po looked at Qin Yu Nie with a smile, paused, and then continued, "However, I like it."

Qin Yune smiled and acted coquettishly, "Sister Meng taught me so well~"

She really benefited a lot during this time; she learned a lot from both Qian Ruizhe and Meng Po.

It was my first time trying it out, and it felt pretty good.

However, ghosts always interrupted her when she spoke.

The female ghost lay on the bottle, glaring fiercely at Qin Yune, and roared, "If I'm guilty, let those ghost messengers punish me! Why are you locking me up? If you have the guts, let me out! Send me to prison, and I won't say a word!"

Seeing the female ghost's furious expression inside, Qin Yune gently shook the bottle, and the ghost immediately began to writhe and stagger inside.

Looking at her, Qin Yune, mimicking her earlier gesture, tilted her head and asked in confusion, "You think I'll just send you to prison because you tell me to? Who are you to me? Why should I listen to you?"

The female ghost was speechless, utterly stumped by Qin Yune's words. "You..."

However, Qin Yunie then stuffed her directly into his bag, so he didn't hear what she said afterward.

Qin Yune asked Meng Po curiously, "Sister Meng, how much did that bottle cost?"

Meng Po waved her hand casually and replied indifferently, "Tens of thousands of ghost coins, so what?"

Then, as if she had thought of something, she frowned and said, "Don't give me money. If you do, I'll never talk to you again. If you really feel bad, you can make me more pastries. You can have more of that osmanthus cake and mung bean cake. Do you know how to make other pastries? Give me some of everything."

After hearing this, Qin Yunie realized that it was indeed inappropriate to give money directly, so he gave up the idea and secretly planned to pick out a suitable item for Meng Po when he went to the Ghost Market next time.

Upon hearing this, Qin Yunie immediately smiled and said, "I know a few other things too, I'll make them for you another day."

Hearing Qin Yune's words, Meng Po nodded in satisfaction, then yawned, stretched, and said lazily, "Alright then, I'll go back first, otherwise Xiao Hong will throw a tantrum. When you have time, remember to come to the Bridge of Helplessness, it's quite a fun place."

Qin Yunie nodded quickly and agreed: "Okay, Sister Meng, I will definitely go."

After Meng Po left, Qin Yune didn't stay long. He went back to the car, grabbed the ingredients, and headed to Grandpa Xu's place, which the grape monster Li Ming had mentioned.

Grandpa Xu's house is right next to Li Ming's house.

As soon as she arrived, she saw three ghosts, two old men, and Li Ming standing at the door.

It seemed there had been some unpleasantness, and Li Ming was caught in the middle, feeling extremely troubled.

Suddenly, Li Ming saw Qin Yunie carrying ingredients towards him. He immediately rushed towards her as if he had seen a savior, excitedly shouting, "Boss Qin! You've finally arrived!"

Qin Yune was a little bewildered by his sudden enthusiasm, and after a moment of hesitation, asked, "What's wrong?"

Her avoidance did not affect Li Ming at all. He cried out, "If you hadn't come soon, they would have torn me to pieces!"

Qin Yu Nie chuckled, "It's not that serious, is it?"

Grandpa Li walked over first with a kind smile, "Boss Qin, you've arrived."

Upon hearing that Boss Qin had arrived, Grandpa Xu was not to be outdone. The two old men jostled each other as they walked toward Qin Yu Nie.

Looking at the two of them, Qin Yune asked with some confusion, "Grandpa Li, what are you doing?"

Completely oblivious to Li Ming, whose eyes were practically squinting into cross-eyedness.

Grandpa Li chuckled and said, "Hehehe... It's nothing, we're just practicing race walking."

Grandpa Xu chimed in, "Yes, yes, we're bored, so we're getting some exercise. Mr. Qin, this way please."

Qin Yunie vaguely sensed something was off, but since they weren't that familiar with each other, she didn't say anything and simply followed them into the villa.

When Old Xu saw Old Li follow him in, he snorted coldly, "Boss Qin is here to cook for me, so you shameless bastard should just go back now."

Old Li retorted defiantly, "Boss Qin was invited by my grandson, why should I leave? If I'm going to leave, I have to finish eating first!"

Li Ming rubbed his forehead in exasperation: "..." Here we go again.

Qin Yunie now vaguely understood why Li Ming had acted as if he had seen a savior the moment he saw her.

As soon as Li Ming entered the kitchen, he sidled up to Qin Yunie and said ingratiatingly, "What dishes does Boss Qin want to make tonight? I'll help you out."

Qin Yunie readily agreed, "Sure, you can wash these vegetables for me."

Upon hearing this, Li Ming immediately breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Boss Qin."

Qin Yunie chuckled and said, "Quite energetic."

Li Ming smiled wryly, "I've made you laugh."

She shook her head, and while preparing the meat and vegetables, she said, "No, I think it's quite cute."

Li Ming explained, "My grandpa and Grandpa Xu have always been bickering and don't get along. Didn't you cook us a meal before? My grandpa bragged about it in his group chat. Grandpa Xu rushed over to our house, only to find that we had already eaten, which made him very angry."

"Grandpa Xu likes your cooking and has been wanting me to help him make an appointment with you for a long time. Grandpa had always disagreed before, and I was worried that it would be inconvenient for you, so I didn't tell you. It just so happened that my grandpa agreed to let me help him make an appointment the day before, and I didn't expect that you would say in the group the next day that you were taking private orders."

Qin Yunie nodded. Even in the kitchen, he could still faintly hear the two old men arguing outside.

You can tell that although the two old men bicker all the time, they might not be used to it if one of them were gone and they stopped arguing.

Qin Yunie spent over an hour preparing two meat dishes, one vegetable dish, a soup, and the osmanthus cake and mung bean cake she had steamed that morning.

After the dishes were cooked, the two old men fought over who would take them out.

Li Ming placed the order online, and Qin Yunie left after finishing the procedure.

She got home and had just opened the door when a white figure rushed towards her.

Qin Yune caught it and unconsciously stroked it.

My gaze fell on the little white fox, and I was surprised to see its tearful accusations. It pointed to the house, then to her, and kept squeaking.

Qin Yunie vaguely guessed that it was unhappy that she had left one of its foxes at home.

She chuckled and stroked it affectionately. "Alright, I was wrong. I have to go earn money, don't I? I'm sorry to have troubled you."

The little white fox gave a haughty snort and turned its head to the side.

He would glance at her every now and then, but then ignore her.

It's as if it's saying: Don't think you can appease it with just a simple sentence.

You can't soothe him unless you try to coax him a few more times!

It's so hard to coax!
