More than a year had passed since they searched for Ah Mian and found the tombstone.
"Hey, hey, hey, isn't that person over there?"
Amian walked into the hotel and stared at them for a while, then said, "Huh? What are you all doing here?"
Everyone was speechless for a moment, and after a long while, Yuan Hua spoke up: "That's great. Will you stay in the modern world forever?"
Amian shook her head: "We'll be traveling in the Immortal Realm for a month, and then we'll have to go home. That's what the little immortal said."
This will be their last meeting across a thousand years.
A-Mian felt that they had changed quite a bit, but she was very happy because Wu Qian and the others had really returned to the celestial realm to become immortals.
With limited time, Mo Man, who is always organized, worked through the night to compile a table.
Ah Mian said she had plenty of money and didn't have to worry about expenses at all.
A small tour group was formed in no time.
"We absolutely have to experience the transportation in the celestial realm... which is what you call the transportation in the immortal realm! Let's go take a look around the biggest museum first."
"Book your high-speed rail and plane tickets and see the beautiful landscapes of our motherland."
"Go away, go away. What's so special about mountains to A-Mian? We need to go to the amusement park. Oh, right, let's go see a movie first tomorrow."
During this month, A-Mian and Meng Chijian experienced many extraordinary things.
She watched several movies, and in the theater, she was either so scared that she wanted to run away, or she cried continuously when she saw sad parts.
Although she couldn't understand the plot at all, she just saw that the characters were always chasing and fighting.
Her favorite activity is taking the high-speed train. Sitting by the window and looking out the window is like watching a series of paintings unfold before her.
The two of them got extremely seasick on airplanes and ships, and only experienced them briefly before becoming very resistant to them.
They also visited several amusement parks, which A-Mian described as "a paradise within a paradise".
"Beijing's fermented bean curd, Changsha's stinky tofu, Huizhou's hairy tofu, Fujian's Hakka stuffed tofu, Yunnan's Jianshui tofu, Sichuan's Mapo tofu, as well as sour soup tofu, grilled tofu..."
Ah Mian counted on her fingers, she had tasted many delicious dishes in the past month, and the recipes of many of them inspired her, and she really wanted to try making them herself.
As the game went on, A-Mian started to miss home.
The Immortal Realm is wonderful, but there are far too many things that A-Mian doesn't understand.
"I miss my tofu shop, and A-Yue, and Wangwang and Xiaojing."
Meng Chijian discovered that A-Mian was crying in her sleep, so he canceled more of his travel plans. He said to Mo Man, "We're going home in a few days. Can you help A-Mian prepare the things she needs to take home?"
"We are just guests passing through this world, just like you."
Yuan Hua said, "Yes, we all have to go home eventually."
As she prepared to go home, Ah Mian regained her energy.
Led by Yuan Hua and Wang Zixuan, the remaining three snakeskin bags and suitcases were also packed to the brim.
One bag was filled with gifts for little A-Yue, from clothes, bottles, and bibs to all sorts of novel toys. You can never have too much fabric; it can be taken apart and altered when she grows up. In addition, I bought two hundred elastic bands; these things are very useful, so I won't have to worry about running out of them.
Upon learning that A-Mian particularly enjoyed reading storybooks and taking photos, Wang Zixuan creatively proposed an idea.
“When I was with you, I was really annoyed by my phone running out of battery. So I kept thinking that it would be great if I had two small solar panels. These are the four I bought for you. After connecting them to this outdoor power source, you can charge your phone whenever there is sunshine.”
"Yes, you read that right. This way you can take a hairdryer home to dry your hair! And look! What's this? Ta-da! An e-reader. I think a mobile phone isn't very useful without internet, but this can last a week on a single charge, which is much more cost-effective."
Wang Zixuan bought two e-readers and filled them with classic ancient literature (such as *Journey to the West*, *Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio*, and *Dream of the Red Chamber*), because A-Mian couldn't understand modern online novels, and she didn't understand the true meaning of modern and contemporary terms. However, she could understand martial arts novels and novels with ancient backgrounds, so she also downloaded popular novels by Jin Yong, Gu Long, and others. In the end, she downloaded several thousand books in total to the e-readers.
After teaching A-Mian how to use it, Wang Zixuan took out two instant cameras from his bag and also gave her three boxes of photographic paper.
Ah Mian loves taking photos and kept praising the gift.
All the small electrical appliances that could be powered, such as hair dryers, fans, and the "handheld" mobile phone that A-Mian and the others bought, were packed in the suitcase to prevent them from getting damaged.
Doctor Mo prepared many common household medicines and wrote down the usage and purpose of each item in detail using ancient characters.
The bag was neatly organized and contained: four mercury thermometers, one electronic thermometer; two bottles of iodine solution, several large boxes of bandages of different sizes; and many commonly used household medicines, such as fever reducers, antidiarrheals, anti-inflammatory drugs, and ointments for minor skin conditions and mosquito bites, etc.
These were considered "elixirs of immortality" by A-Mian, and in ancient times, a single pill would be worth a fortune.
And she had a whole sack full!
"Why won't you let me see the last bag?" After looking at the other bags, A-Mian noticed that Meng Chijian had deliberately put the last one aside.
"We'll take a look at that bag when we get back."
Amian looked at him suspiciously, "Oh."
In the dead of night, Ah Mian held her breath and tiptoed out of bed.
