Chapter 63 Partiality

Dabing's back hurt so much that he couldn't stand up straight. He could only bend over and lean against the wall, holding his waist with both hands, like an old woman with a cane, hunched over.

Who could be more miserable than her? She paid money for labor and came to do physical work, and suddenly she got acute lumbar muscle strain. When she thought about this, she felt even more bitter in her heart.

Shizhu raised her eyes, quickly covering up the sadness in them, and couldn't help but retort, "That's your fate."

Bai Yu was suddenly pushed away, and watched the person in his arms leave. His eyes were a little blurred for a moment, still immersed in the fruity fragrance that had just surrounded his nose. At this moment, he always felt that bursts of pink smoke were burning beside Mu Lian, with a sweet fruity scent, which made people want to move forward and find out what was going on.

Lin Xi was very worried. She circled around Bai Yu and asked, "Brother Yu, this vicious woman actually dared to push you. Are you hurt anywhere? Did you get hurt?"

Bai Yu mechanically turned his head and looked at Lin Xi with a confused face. He was still immersed in what had just happened and his brain had short-circuited.

Dabing stood at the door, looking disappointed, and shouted to Mulian, "Why are you so short?"

Mulian's little head was full of questions: Is she short? No one has ever said she is short.

If they weren't short, the two of them would have kissed each other with that kick, and Lin Xi's body would have been collected right there. It was her fault that she was too short and didn't get the kiss.

Lin Xi nodded. This short guy wanted to snatch Bai Yu from her without even considering his appearance. He didn't even consider whether he was as pretty as her and didn't have a job. Unlike her, he didn't have a stable job. His father was the dean and could help Bai Yu make further progress in his career in the future.

When Mulian caught a glimpse of Shizhu from the corner of her eye, she immediately turned her head and saw the six people in her mind, and immediately rushed out at full speed.

When their eyes met, Shizhu became confused, like soldiers in a battle who were thrown into disarray. He dared neither advance nor retreat, and stayed where he was, dancing the cha-cha.

Bai Yu leaned over to look at Mu Lian's back. What was she going to do? Why was she in such a hurry? Did Brother Yu arrange something for her?

Mulian rushed out immediately. She was concerned about customer satisfaction. She had wasted so much time, and they still had their own things to do.

Mulian didn't even look at Shizhu, and hurriedly sent the six girls downstairs, escorting them all the way out of the hospital. Her main focus was on service, hoping to gain recognition from a few guests so that she could make a fortune.

Shizhu seemed to hear the sound of breaking glass, and a dull pain came from her heart. It was not very severe, but it was very persistent, making her feel anxious and chest tight. It was winter, and there was not even a breeze.

When Bai Yu saw Mu Lian leave, he withdrew his gaze and said in the same calm tone as usual, "I'm fine."

Lin Xi was very worried and surrounded Bai Yu, asking about his well-being. "Really? Let me see if you're hurt. Do you want some plaster? There's some pain-relieving ointment left at the nurses' station."

Dabing's eyes lit up. There was some pain-relieving ointment left at the nurse's station. Her waist was about to fail. If she didn't go and get some to treat her waist, she would not be able to sleep tonight when she thought about her work injury and not even getting any verbal comfort. If she didn't know there was some leftover medicine, she would have to work to pay for it.

Da Pancake rushed towards the nurses' station, ready to turn it upside down to find it, as the department owed her.

After Bai Yu finished speaking, he immediately walked around Lin Xi and walked towards the office with firm steps. He sat at his workstation and began typing ruthlessly again. He was completely focused, as if he could not hear the noise around him, and his hands were typing on the keyboard quickly.

Su Wei, who was sitting opposite Bai Yu, had a very happy look on his face. He was helping Mu Lian with the homepage as quickly as possible, and he kept glancing at the people coming in, wanting his senior sister to see how hard he was working, praise him, and then bow down to him.

Shizhu walked in, sat at the workstation farthest from Mulian, took out his cell phone and typed on it quickly.

Dabing walked in contentedly with the plaster on. When he saw Shizhu so free, he remembered the last time he didn't let her go in to see Mulian. Suddenly, an idea came to his mind, and he shouted, "Shizhu said he would treat everyone to milk tea. Thank you Shizhu for paying for everyone's afternoon tea."

In an instant, the department was in an uproar, and everyone started to flatter Shizhu.

"Thank you so much, Mr. Shi."

"Dean Shi, you deserve it. You are a dean."

This is truly the highest praise and the highest support.

"Boss Shi, you are such a kind person. We all thank you."

"What good news happened today? Mr. Shi, let's celebrate together."

"Report to Dean Shi, I want a cup of maca bobo."

"I want a cup of coffee, a must-have for successful people, to wake me up. I'm on a night shift tonight and I won't be able to sleep."

"I heard that Xinrui milk tea is delicious, but a bit expensive."

Shizhu sat down and immediately put away his phone. "I don't have any money, but I have my life."

"Tsk~."

Everyone said in unison, and then went about their own business, hoping to get off work early. The matter was over, and no one cared whether they drank or not, they just kept gossiping.

As soon as Mulian stepped into the office, Su Wei saw her at a glance and immediately surrounded her like a husky. He showed Mulian the homepage he made with an expression of presenting a treasure and asked for praise.

"That's great." Mu Lian took a look and gave Su Wei a thumbs up without any hesitation, saying that he did a great job.

With the word "awesome", Su Wei started to feel elated. He knew that he was very good and these were just small things for him. He hoped that next time she could teach him something more amazing and let him show it to her.

When Bai Yu heard Mulian's voice, he subconsciously raised his head and looked at Mulian. Then his ears turned red and he worked with one hand half covering his face.

With all the commotion, Shizhu spotted Mulian immediately. However, he felt an inexplicable emptiness within him, and he turned his head away, suppressing the urge to look for her. It was a truly horrible habit. It wasn't even a habit; it hadn't even been 21 days. He'd always been accustomed to sitting next to her and chatting, but now, sitting as far away from her as possible, he couldn't adjust.
