Chapter 109: Abandoned Building No. 7 39 (Gold Miner)
When she appeared in front of the man again, it was Mrs. Lucy who was standing next to Yi Li. Her right hand was wrapped in white gauze, and she stood beside Yi Li with a calm expression.
The man glanced at Mrs. 'Lucy', who looked injured and thin, and asked casually, "What happened to your hand?"
Mrs. Lucy smiled calmly. "The young lady didn't hurt me on purpose. Please don't blame her, sir. It was me who accidentally hurt her because I was worried that her excessive excitement might be harmful to her health."
Yi Li: "..."
Good tea, where did he go to learn the art of tea?
Why is the air filled with the fragrance of tea?
The man looked at Mrs. Lucy disapprovingly. "Even so, you can't hurt yourself."
Mrs. Lucy blushed and said, "Thank you for your concern, Mr. Lucy. I will pay more attention next time."
The man nodded and looked at Yili with a hint of reproach: "Since I asked Lucy to take care of you, you must listen to Madam Lucy and stop being willful."
Yili looked at the man in disbelief: "Dad! How could you do this!"
"Okay, stop talking and eat."
"I don't want it! Dad! You don't like me at all!" She turned around and ran out in anger.
"Ili!"
No matter how the man called her from behind, she did not turn back.
"Find an opportunity to get rid of those people. Since you heard noises on the third floor, it means there must be something wrong on the third floor."
"I'll find a chance to hold them back, but time is limited, so you have to hurry."
Yi Li quickly locked onto the stairs commonly used by servants, and she went all the way to the third floor.
The moonlight poured in from the floor-to-ceiling window not far away.
Only a few small lights were on in the sky garden on the third floor. No servants were present. In the quiet environment, she could only hear her own breathing.
She came to the place where she heard Liu Xiaodie crying and looked around, looking for something.
A little red was hidden among the white pebbles in the flower bed. She stepped forward and took out the thing, which was a fragment of Xiao Xin's glasses frame.
As expected, something happened to Xiao Xin.
Suddenly, footsteps were heard in the distance, and she looked towards the source of the sound vigilantly.
"Tang Boss was treated like that. Can we really survive? I have a feeling that he will be killed by that young lady."
"Exactly. He's so young, only four or five, yet he's so vicious and naughty. He's simply a born bad seed. It's terrifying."
"What normal child would do this? She's a complete psychopath and lunatic. She'll beat and kill anyone she doesn't like. It's terrifying. Yesterday, I almost got sent to that man-eating dark mine because I was breathing too hard."
"Don't you see where you are? This is a game. There aren't many normal people in this game. Once you enter the supernatural survival dungeon, you should be thankful that this young lady won't tear your head off and use it as a paddle."
"Give me a cigarette, damn, I'm craving a cigarette. If I were afraid of dying, I would have given up long ago."
"Here, here, here. Can you smoke less as a girl?"
Two women in maid uniforms sat lazily on the flower bed, smoking cigarettes and puffing away, as if they didn't care at all about being discovered.
Yi Li hid in the golden flower garden. The one-meter-high unknown flower species hid her very well inside. The two servants who were smoking cigarettes and immersed in the pleasure brought by nicotine did not notice that there was a person next to them.
Yi Li recognized them both at a glance.
The first two maids she saw today were Jade and Pearl.
"How dare you smoke here? Aren't you afraid of being discovered?"
"Tsk, Pearl, I told you you're stupid and you really are. Now they're all serving the mine owners here for meals, how could they possibly come to this place?
Besides, I specifically asked around and found out that there's an unwritten rule here that servants can't come here at night when they don't have work. I even checked and found out that they never assign work to servants here at night."
Jade took a puff of the cigarette confidently, then exhaled. Amidst the seductive white mist, her expression held a hint of disdain and arrogance.
"..." Pearl paused while smoking: "Damn it, idiot, we have to go back now!"
As she said that, Zhenzhu stepped on the cigarette, cursed, and pulled Zhenzhu away.
Jade complained unhappily: "Why are you panicking? We finally found a place to smoke, don't act like a coward."
"I'm really impressed by you. Why do you think they don't arrange work at night and don't let people come here to work?"
"Why?" Jade's face was now flushed and her voice was a little dull.
"Because there's something strange here!" Pearl frowned as she looked at the strange looking Jade in front of her. "Why is your face so red?"
Jade looked at her dazedly: "Huh? What are you talking about?"
Pearl was about to say something when she saw Jade holding her head. "Why is my head so itchy? Is it going to grow a brain?"
As she kept buttoning, Pearl's face turned pale in an instant.
Jadeite was puzzled when she saw Pearl's pale face: "Pearl, why is your face so pale? Is your blood sugar low?"
Pearl looked at the scene in front of her and cursed like crazy in her heart.
If she had known something was wrong here, she wouldn't have let Feicui coax her over to smoke with her!
Feicui didn't know that she had unknowingly lost a large part of her hair. Her head was a horrible sight of blood-red, skinless bones covered with unknown green sprouts that were trembling and growing rapidly at a speed visible to the naked eye under the dim light.
But Feicui was still scratching her back. She didn't look at her bloody hands. Instead, she stood up weakly and slowly walked to Pearl: "Pearl, my whole body is itchy. Are you itchy too? Can you help me scratch my back?"
Pearl swallowed and said, "I suddenly remembered that I have something else to do. I'll go get busy first. You smoke slowly. I didn't say anything just now. Just smoke as much as you want!"
Pearl quickly retreated, trying to avoid Jadeite's approach, and she almost had the words "Don't touch me" written on her face.
"Pearl! Why are you acting so weird? What happened? Is there something strange about me?" Jade looked at Pearl in confusion and approached her while speaking.
Pearl almost vomited. She saw that Jade's skin and flesh were like soft soil, with countless tender sprouts emerging from it, growing tremblingly in the air.
"Please, I have some social anxiety, please don't come over." Pearl was so scared that she spoke without thinking and retreated frantically towards the stairs.
"Why can't you come over? Pearl, what are you afraid of? Has something terrible happened to me?"
Jade tilted her head and heard a crisp snapping sound from her body.
