Chapter 223 The Power of the Sacred Artifact, the Golden Puppet

I checked in at the Heavenly Prison: One Step to Godhood Chapter 223 The Power of Sacred Artifacts, Golden Puppet "I said, unless you have the cultivation of the eighth level of the Yuan King realm, you are qualified to fight me. Otherwise, you will never have a chance!" The puppet man spoke indifferently, his tone completely calm.

He was originally crafted by a sage, possessing the power of a sacred artifact, which is far beyond the reach of ordinary human martial artists.

Upon hearing the puppet's words, the earth dragon's eyes lit up with a look of sudden realization. So, the reason he was so powerful was because he had a sacred artifact protecting him. In other words, that sacred artifact was in this person's hands.

Thinking of this, a figure immediately popped into his mind: his teacher.

Before his teacher left, he instructed him that if he encountered a martial artist skilled in weapon crafting, he should do everything in his power to keep the person there. If the person was willing to help them, he could give them a sacred artifact.

Now, that sacred artifact has finally been revealed.

"Since that's the case, then you shall die." The Earth Dragon coldly shouted. With a wave of his hand, many golden halberds appeared in the void in an instant, radiating a dazzling golden luster, like dazzling suns hanging in the sky, releasing an astonishing aura that inspired fear.

Gu Yifeng's eyes flashed, his gaze fixed on those halberds, his eyes revealing shock. Could those be sacred artifacts?

With a swift movement, the earth dragon grasped a golden halberd, which then appeared in its hand. An immensely powerful aura emanated from it. With a flash, it unleashed its attack, wielding the halberd at a speed too fast for the naked eye to follow. As the halberd slashed out, the wind and clouds shifted dramatically, and the sky and earth trembled.

However, the puppet remained standing there, its gaze utterly calm. With a grab of its hand into the void, a majestic cauldron appeared out of thin air in the sky, ancient and imposing, radiating an overwhelming aura, as if it were a treasure born of heaven and earth, suppressing everything.

With a flick of its arm, the puppet sent the massive cauldron hurtling out, shattering space as it charged straight toward the earth dragon.

Outside the main hall, many spectators also noticed the change in the sky and were all taken aback.

"That puppet can actually activate a sacred artifact?" A questioning voice rang out.

"What a powerful sacred artifact! No wonder it belongs to the Gate of Hell." Someone else exclaimed in a low voice, their gazes toward the Gate of Hell filled with envy. They knew very well how precious sacred artifacts were. Even a flawed version was no less valuable than an ordinary imperial weapon, let alone a complete one.

"Boom!" A loud noise rang out, and the puppet's body flew backward, landing on the ground looking somewhat disheveled. He lowered his head, and a trickle of bright red blood flowed down the corner of his mouth. He hadn't used his full strength in that move, yet he still couldn't defeat his opponent. He understood that the gap in skill was huge.

"Keep going, or you'll admit defeat," the earth dragon mocked.

"I don't need your pity. Today, you must die." The puppet raised his head, his face devoid of emotion. He formed a hand seal, and in an instant, a terrifying dark bell appeared high in the sky, enveloping the vast area.

He then stepped out and entered the bell tower.

"Clang!" The bell rang out, piercing the eardrums, making everyone feel dizzy and their hearts race, as if they could not withstand such a sonic attack.

"Thump, thump, thump..."

A melodious zither tune drifted out from the void. The music was extremely beautiful, but when it reached the ears of the crowd, it made them tremble, as if their souls had been stirred.

Their gazes fell upon the void, where a group of young men and women sat playing the zither. The surrounding air suddenly fell silent, with only the sound of the strings being plucked.

As the strings were plucked, a strange wave spread out, enveloping the puppets and the earth dragon. The two men froze, their faces contorted in pain, as if their souls had been ripped apart.

Gu Yifeng frowned as he watched the scene. He wondered what kind of technique they were using. It seemed strangely familiar. Could it be some kind of musical instrument combined with rhythmic attacks?

The music grew increasingly urgent, and the golden armor on the earth dragon's body vibrated violently. He suddenly retreated, his gaze fixed on that area, feeling as if his soul was about to leave his body. The music seemed to contain a special magic, trying to destroy his soul.

Although his soul had reached the peak of the fourth level of the Yuanhuang realm, he was still just an ordinary human. His soul had not yet been completely transformed, so how could he withstand the attack of the sacred artifact? He only lasted for a few seconds before his soul could no longer bear it and he let out a miserable cry: "Stop! Please spare my life! If you agree, I will offer you anything."

However, the music continued unabated, showing no signs of stopping. The earth dragon's face was contorted in extreme rage as it roared furiously, "Bastard, I curse you! You will surely die a horrible death!"

The music stopped abruptly.

At this moment, the music stopped, and the puppets froze for a moment before returning to normal. They turned around and looked blankly at the earth dragon, as if they didn't know what had just happened.

"What did you just do?" the earth dragon asked, his face ashen with anger. If the puppet continued to play, the consequences would be unimaginable.

"The music was so soothing, so we played it a little longer. What's wrong?" a puppet replied, looking confused.

The earth dragon's face stiffened, and he felt like cursing in his heart.

They actually asked what was wrong?

If he hadn't stopped them in time, they would all have perished.

"Hmph, a bunch of idiots." The earth dragon snorted coldly, then turned and walked towards the main hall, his face extremely ugly. He hadn't expected that even the sacred artifact couldn't do anything to that puppet. Just who was he?

"Big brother, did you play the zither just now?" Earth Tiger approached Earth Dragon and asked softly. The zither music was too eerie, making it impossible to guard against, and it could even affect the soul.

"No," the earth dragon shook its head.

"Really?" Di Hu looked at Di Long suspiciously. He had a feeling that his older brother was a little guilty and didn't dare to meet his eyes.

"Believe it or not." The earth dragon waved its hand, then stepped into the main hall.

As Di Hu watched Di Long's departing figure, his eyes flickered. This guy must have lied; he must have heard something.

The Earth Tiger's gaze fell upon the strings in the void, and its eyes suddenly sharpened. It strode toward the strings and reached out to pluck them.

However, at that moment, a sword beam flashed through the void, piercing through Earth Tiger's chest and instantly penetrating his body. Blood gushed out, splattering across the space. Earth Tiger looked down at the wound on his chest, his expression blank.

Countless people witnessed this scene and were all taken aback.

The earth dragon actually attacked its own brother! This is utterly depraved!

"Earth Dragon, you're courting death!" another elder shouted, his figure shooting into the void like lightning. He unleashed a palm strike, and billowing demonic energy surged forth, rushing towards the Earth Dragon like a flood.
