West of the new district.
Qin Che stood on the watchtower, talking to Li Xin.
"Princess Sa is arriving, aren't you going back to see her?"
Qin Che shook his head: "We'll have to go back sooner or later, there's no rush now. Have you heard about the City-State Alliance sending envoys?"
"I've heard about it; they're up to no good," Li Xin sighed.
The desert people acquired hydrogen battery technology, and backpackers appeared on the front lines of the battlefield. This news reached the city-states.
They were puzzled as to how the desert people had mastered hydrogen battery technology.
In the wasteland, only the City-State Alliance possesses this technology, a legacy they have inherited from the Old World, and there could be no branches.
The shelter project is unique to 'Project Zero', and hydrogen batteries could not possibly be in the hands of the blue-coated individuals.
There is only one possibility.
It was stolen.
The city-state's inhabitants were furious about this and would be sending people over in the next few days to investigate.
"Are you ready? What should we say when the time comes?" Li Xin asked, putting down his binoculars.
He didn't know where this technology came from.
But he knew that Qin Che knew the inside story. The research institute had documents showing that the project was not initially approved by the Blue Jacket team. It was Qin Che who gave the order, and later, for some reason, the project development went exceptionally smoothly.
"To be honest, it can withstand their scrutiny," Qin Che said with a smile.
"Can it really withstand it?" Li Xin asked with a half-smile, too lazy to expose his lie.
Qin Che said with a serious expression, "You didn't steal or rob, so why can't you withstand it? There are some things you should understand."
Li Xin frowned and said, "That's precisely why I'm even more confused. Was it dug out of the shelter?"
"Don't worry," Qin Che patted his shoulder and said, "The city-state people won't do anything. We have a common enemy now."
"A berserker?" Li Xin asked.
"The berserkers in the western mountains are very strong. The city-state people have been in contact with them for many years, but no one has gained any advantage. I reckon that their sending people here is a pretense of investigation, but a real alliance."
"Did the eldest prince tell you?" Li Xin was very perceptive.
Qin Che smiled but remained silent.
"In short, the berserkers won't just sit and wait to die," Li Xin sighed.
Qin Che faced the wind on the watchtower and said, "After we go back, you should be reinstated. They still can't do without you there."
"Oh, you want me to redeem myself through meritorious service?" Li Xin sneered.
"You're innocent. Didn't I say I didn't want to have your cake and eat it too, which would damage my reputation?" Qin Che rolled his eyes.
"I understand, it was my fault for not understanding your request clearly," Li Xin apologized.
"The mountainous area needs to be developed. I've moved my entire cabinet over here. I'll go there myself when I have time," Qin Che said, seemingly to himself.
Upon hearing this, Li Xin said no more.
...
Leopard Court.
As soon as Savanyin arrived home, he asked, "Where is the Regent?"
"Your Highness, Lord Qin has gone on an inspection tour, accompanied by Minister Li. He should be back soon," the deputy minister reported, bowing.
Now that Savanyin has arrived, the position of Deputy Prime Minister no longer exists.
This team was originally assembled temporarily, and Qin Che had already tacitly agreed that once the cabinet moved in, the vice cabinet members would simply follow orders.
Several years later, Safanyin's appearance hadn't changed much, except that her aura had become much more composed and dignified. Her eyebrows were slightly furrowed, her eyes shone with a sharp light, and she was as proud as a queen.
The kind of temperament that only those in positions of power can gradually cultivate.
"What do you mean by running away as soon as I arrive..." Savanyin said angrily, "Please invite Ms. Lina over."
Lina arrived quickly upon hearing the news.
Safan dismissed the people around her and asked, "How have you been these past two years?"
Lina looked up at the princess and saw her smiling face, which made her feel a mix of emotions.
The other party actually knew about what Qin Che did from the beginning.
"As Your Highness instructed, I was put in charge of taking care of Qin Che, and everything is fine," Lina said softly, bowing her head.
“I’m at ease knowing you’re here. There’s no peace on the battlefield, but I’m really worried about him losing his life,” Savanyin sighed.
"Although the war here is dangerous, he is a great superhuman, and no one can threaten him."
Lina began to recount what she had seen and heard over the past few years, as well as some of the things she had done, and Qin Che.
The two women talked to Qin Che for a long time.
Savany stretched, revealing her curves, which surprised Lina greatly. She hadn't seen Her Highness for two years, and she hadn't expected Her Highness to be even more voluptuous.
He felt somewhat ashamed, realizing that he couldn't compare to the woman in front of him in terms of physique.
But Lina's problem stemmed entirely from her inferiority complex; she and Savoy were completely different types of people.
"I'll go now, Your Highness, please wait for his return." Lina turned and left.
"Go ahead, and please help me out at Leopard Court from now on." Safanyin smiled, and after the person left, she couldn't help but mutter, "It's been years, and I still don't have a child..."
After that, Sa Fanyin sat in Qin Che's office, handling official business.
"Bring over all the documents related to personnel, production, infrastructure, farmland, and the aftermath of the war."
Safanyin was very experienced; she had developed a strong work ethic in the first wall and had become quite proficient in government affairs.
One of the purposes of moving the cabinet here was to help Qin Che manage the household.
After things stabilized in the desert, Savanyin gradually transferred power to the Glory Court and gave it to her elder brother, the king, to secure the rear.
The cabinet was built by Qin Che, and he also placed his people in the Glory Court, such as Chen Fusheng, Sha Qingsui, and He Gan. They are now court officials, but they belong to Qin Gong's faction. The prince will not be stubborn and will obviously listen to opinions.
The only thing that is somewhat worrying is the faction of the prime minister.
