Chapter 201 Psionic Technology

Under Qin Che's gaze,

Ji Wenze began, “The Central Continent Empire originated in the late 22nd century with an organization called the Central Continent United Committee. In that era, it was what you all call the ‘Old World.’ The Jinling Reboot Project was established during that period, and the Jinling No. 1 Underground Shelter was also established during that time, gradually leading to No. 2, No. 3, No. 4…”

"Before the Old World, from the late 21st century to the late 22nd century, we collectively refer to it as the Dark Ages."

"The war that led to the downfall of humanity began then. At first, it may have been a natural disaster, or perhaps just the extinction of a species, but at the time, no one cared. Humans fought each other for thousands of years without ever stopping. No matter how times and technology changed, war was like an eternity, sometimes fleeting, sometimes lasting for many years..."

"Psionic energy appeared at some unknown time; it came much earlier and faster. Some say it started in the north, some say in the west, some say it was born from the ocean, and various schools of thought flourished..."

Ji Wenze patted his chest and said, "Hehe, I personally hold the views of the Northern School."

Qin Che's heart stirred.

A term popped into my mind...

The North, the First Empire!

He had asked the men in blue coats about this term and had also looked up many documents to investigate it himself.

Unfortunately, there were no clues.

Forget about clues, even the term "First Empire" has never appeared.

The keyword 'North' appeared a few times, but only a handful of times.

There are glaciers and permafrost there, which likely appeared long after the Dark Ages, probably during the years when it bordered the Old World.

The northern climate is too cold for human habitation.

It was almost a vast and desolate no-man's-land.

Only a few daring adventurers and teams dare to venture north. Some savage wastelanders or human settlements and tribes only dare to live on the edge of the permafrost, close to the Arctic Circle. The further south you go, the more numerous and densely populated the population becomes.

At first, when Qin Che mentioned this term to the men in blue coats, no one could believe it.

How is that possible?

Even in the complete history of the Old World, there has never been such a country.

Perhaps there were once some city clusters on the permafrost in the Old World.

But that cannot be considered an empire.

For the people of the old world, there was only one empire in their eyes, and that was the Central Continent Empire, which was the official history passed down from generation to generation by the people of the old world.

The official histories that Qin Che found in the documents were mostly related to the Zhongzhou Empire.

In fact, the principle behind Qin Che's 'neural modification' technology comes from the Central Continent Empire. In the third 'Adventurer's Life' simulation instance, Qin Che was also in the Mechanical Cult. He had his own adventure team and found the remaining technology of the Central Continent Empire, and performed the surgery on himself.

It is believed that this technology still exists in the Central Plains region today, and is in the possession of the Mechanicus sect.

As for the First Northern Empire, it simply did not exist.

Qin Che was in a daze.

He recalled the incident many times, and it always felt like a dream.

Because everyone denies the existence of the First Empire.

It's as if it doesn't exist on this world line.

Could it be that the First Empire that Qin Che saw in the simulator was just an illusion, or that it only existed in another timeline?

Parallel universe?

That's impossible.

Qin Che affirmed this multiple times!

The ruins I saw in the Black Tide world, in that underground place that resembled a dark trench.

How magnificent that was!

That level of civilization was completely different from anything Qin Che had seen before.

He saw many written symbols.

I also saw many strange buildings and bizarre facilities.

He was certain that those things, which resembled array patterns and religious symbols, were definitely related to psionic technology.

Although he had no evidence to prove it.

But why can that ruin exist in the Black Tide world?

Why did Qin Che always end up heading north in the simulations to find the 'Psionic Core' and the ruins of the First Empire?

Of course, this psionic core is different from the one in Li Xin's hand.

Qin Che didn't know how to describe it, so he could only name it the Psionic Core.

It is an energy geometry, not a man-made object, but something that appears in the magnificent natural world.

Subdued by ancient humans

Or perhaps it subjugates them.

Nourished by mysticism, which includes ideas such as sacrifice, divination, duel, sacrifice, and worship, it nurtured the psychic civilization.

That is undoubtedly powerful.

But the First Empire eventually collapsed.

I don't know why.

And it has never appeared in the history of the Old World.

But Qin Che was certain that its timeline was in the Dark Ages, before the Old World, or even earlier.

Qin Che had naively wondered if it might be somewhere in Northeast China, or even further north in Siberia.

Later I realized it was impossible.

This wasteland world is different from the continent of the world he came from before, both in scale and shape.

Some places were damaged by disasters, some places, like the South China Sea, were submerged by the sea, the continent collapsed, and some places were directly fractured.

Furthermore, historical documents on this subject are extremely scarce, practically nonexistent.

Even if such books exist, the historical records contained within are not very credible; they read more like conjecture and speculation, with no corroborating evidence.

So where did the First Northern Empire come from?
