Chapter 222 Congratulations on Fortune, Prosperity, Longevity and Wealth

"Sir, Minister Li will be back soon."

Before long, golden energy particles condensed in the night sky, and Li Xin floated back, saying, "I'm afraid they're not fugitives, but a group of slaves."

"Who's hunting them down?" Qin Che asked.

"Judging by their clothes, they're from Zeolite City, right? They're a group of soldiers." Li Xin said expressionlessly, the particles solidifying before he landed back on the ground.

"I won't concern myself with this," Qin Che said, shaking his head.

But Little Stone suddenly tugged at Qin Che's sleeve and said, "Master, you should still do something about it. They're all women and children."

Qin Che looked at Li Xin, and he nodded.

"Then why didn't you say so sooner?" Qin Che asked, frowning.

Li Xin shrugged: "It's no use talking to a cold-blooded person like you. If you don't want to save them, who can force you?"

Qin Che rolled his eyes and teleported away.

The gunshots grew closer, and the slaves fled in panic. A woman, clutching her child, looked terrified.

She was in the lead and had the best luck.

Most of the companions who escaped together were killed.

These soldiers from Zeolite City kill without blinking an eye; everyone knows what they're up to.

They were merely slaves who farmed the land on the landlord's estate.

If they escape, they will be criminals. The landlord will not pursue the matter, but will report it directly to the authorities and send soldiers to chase them.

These slaves ran around for three days.

The soldiers followed behind, at a leisurely pace, as if they were enjoying the hunting process.

"Wow!"

The child in her arms suddenly started crying.

The sound was loud and carried far. The woman's heart was pounding, and she was covered in sweat, but her will to survive compelled her to run forward.

Then more gunshots rang out, bang bang bang.

Occasionally, bullets would whiz past my ears.

Although the woman was sweating profusely, her body was ice-cold, and she might be shot dead at any moment.

The sounds of soldiers laughing and joking came from behind.

They have cars!

It just drives very slowly.

"Run! Run faster!"

"Where are you going? There's only wasteland ahead; you'll starve to death sooner or later."

"You're like a rabbit, you might as well come and keep your soldier grandpa company."

"Hehehahaha..."

Three or five soldiers sat in a red-painted SUV, the engine humming loudly.

The headlights shone brightly and dazzlingly on the flat ground.

None of the escaped slaves could be hidden.

"Damn it, kill the one with the child, her crying is so annoying."

"Sixth Brother, give me the gun. If this shot hits my head, you guys have to treat me to dinner."

"Hahaha, why should I..."

The soldiers said that, but they still handed him the gun.

The speaker calmed himself down, opened the scope, and with a bang, instead of a headshot, hit the woman's right leg, causing her to stumble and fall!

"Hahaha, what lousy marksmanship."

"What are you talking about! It's clearly your gun that's broken."

"I've got a very good shot. At this distance, you'd be even more off target."

The woman, who had fallen to the ground, felt a sharp pain in her calf. She knew she was bleeding, but she was holding her child.

We can't die!

The woman gritted her teeth and got up, running with a limp, but very slowly.

She was a slave, and this was her fate for life.

In the eyes of the soldiers, they were no different from rabbits; in the eyes of the landlords, they were nothing more than ants, easily crushed underfoot.

But the woman didn't want to accept her fate like that.

When they escaped from the manor, they were already on the verge of death.

That landlord took pleasure in torture and killing, and was quite addicted to it, holding banquets every week and inviting friends over.

Their only game was to torture and kill slaves.

They used various methods to make the slaves unable to live or die.

This mother and son are survivors. The woman's husband died a few days ago, after dozens of pieces of flesh were cut from his body, causing him excruciating pain.

The landowners on the estate even scoffed and said, "Don't use anesthesia, it's a waste."

The woman watched helplessly as her husband died.

In the manor, life was worthless, used for amusement. They killed more men because women had other uses, such as entertaining guests. Landlords would buy beautiful slaves, and sometimes they would give them to each other.

This woman could no longer endure such a life.

They launched a rebellion.

Thousands of people wanted to escape the manor.

However, because there were too many of them, the landlord found out and sent troops to surround them in advance.

Hundreds died when they tried to escape.

The road was littered with corpses.

The woman was completely desperate...

It wasn't until she was shot in the calf that she realized she was going to die sooner or later; it was just a matter of time.

Inside the SUV, a soldier raised his gun again.

The gun barrel wasn't lit yet.

His head flew off!

With a whoosh, it flew a long way and rolled onto the grass.

The SUV came to a quiet stop, with only the engine still running.

The driver and the soldier were all beheaded.

I don't know what it was, but it flew in from a distance and killed me instantly.

Old Six's eyes widened; he was the only one left in the room.

He snatched the gun from the corpse's hand, held it tremblingly, and looked at the hazy night sky, where it seemed as if there was someone.

"Who goes there! Show yourself!"

Bang! Bang! Bang! He pulled back the bolt and fired several shots.

The bullet flew past, disappeared into the night sky, and vanished.

Old Liu was so frightened that his face turned pale, and he turned his head to look at the corpse of his comrade next to him.

What kind of situation hasn't he seen?

Did I encounter a ghost today?

"Oh my god!" Old Liu shouted, jumping out of the car in fright and running away.
