Gao Jun never expected to meet the prince. He stayed at home, obediently waiting for Commander Li to return, when suddenly the cabinet sent someone to summon him to the audience hall.
Gao Jun was very nervous. He figured that his matter had caught the attention of the prince, which was why the prince had received him on behalf of Commander Li. He had essentially bypassed the prince's authority to pay his respects.

"Yes, I understand." Gao Jun lowered his head, and then heard the sound of the gerbil leaving the room, gradually fading into the distance.
Soon, only Qin Che and Gao Jun remained in the room. He could even hear the sound of Qin Che writing, the rustling of paper on the paper.
After finishing a document, Qin Che screwed on the pen cap, placed it flat on the table, crossed his hands, and looked up at Gao Jun.
