Chapter 270: Final System Update!

Gao Jun never expected to meet the prince. He stayed at home, obediently waiting for Commander Li to return, when suddenly the cabinet sent someone to summon him to the audience hall.

Gao Jun was very nervous. He figured that his matter had caught the attention of the prince, which was why the prince had received him on behalf of Commander Li. He had essentially bypassed the prince's authority to pay his respects.

The old gerbil was the chief minister. Upon their first meeting, the old man, who was over 100 years old and deeply favored by the prince, was injected with various biological particles to prolong his lifespan.

At their first meeting, the old gerbil was very polite, but his face was expressionless, making it impossible to read his thoughts; he was quite shrewd.

"When you see Your Highness, there's no need for formalities. Just tell me what happened, and the cabinet will handle it properly for you." Old Sand Rat looked at him.

Gao Jun nodded: "Your Excellency, rest assured, I understand what to do."

The old gerbil smiled faintly and said, "You have already attained the extraordinary, and there is no need for you to call me 'subordinate' anymore. In Leopard Court, you can associate with most people on equal footing, including me."

Gao Jun swallowed hard, feeling somewhat nervous.

“The extraordinary and the mortal are ultimately different. Your military commander, General Li, was also an extraordinary person back then, and he still treats the prince as an equal. You can too.”

Gao Jun quickly replied, "This subordinate dares not."

Following the old gerbil into the palace, he was astonished by its grandeur and magnificence. He thought that even the Icefield Palace was not as magnificent as the Leopard Court, which was the residence of a demigod.

The vast corridor, as wide as a plaza, was deserted, its echoes reverberating, leaving only the old gerbil and his own footsteps.

The floor was paved with exquisite and precious stone bricks, neatly cut and spotless, even reflecting light. On both sides of the corridor were portraits of the king, majestic and imposing.

The old gerbil pushed open the door. The office was enormous; to see the fireplace from there, one would have to walk over a hundred steps. The entire room was carpeted, and there was only a long table by the window.

Qin Che, the demigod Qin Che, the ruler of Leopard Court, the regent of Lingbi, and the one who commands respect across the four seas, was like a clerk, buried in his work, painstakingly dealing with the mountain of documents.

Gao Jun was amazed. Qin Che's focused work left a deep impression on him, one that he could not forget for many years to come.

The files piled up on the desktop represent all the troubles and desires of the mortal world. God descends to earth to resolve people's troubles and grudges.

Today, throughout Leopard Court and Lingbi, countless residents have come to believe in Qin Che, regarding him as a god.

As long as he remains in the Leopard Court, the human world will surely be glorious in the future; this is destiny.

The old gerbil stepped forward first, bowed to Qin Che, and said, "Your Highness, the person has been brought."

Qin Che grunted in response, without looking up, and continued working. The old gerbil, however, walked back and patted Gao Jun on the shoulder: "I'll stay outside. Come out after you've finished asking your questions."

"Yes, I understand." Gao Jun lowered his head, and then heard the sound of the gerbil leaving the room, gradually fading into the distance.

Soon, only Qin Che and Gao Jun remained in the room. He could even hear the sound of Qin Che writing, the rustling of paper on the paper.

After finishing a document, Qin Che screwed on the pen cap, placed it flat on the table, crossed his hands, and looked up at Gao Jun.

"Ha, I knew you before. You were in the team at the commendation ceremony in Bow City." Qin Che remembered it vividly; in fact, it was hard for him to forget it now.

I can clearly remember the scene and details of anyone I've met, even if it's just once.

Gao Jun nodded and saluted: "Greetings, Your Highness. I am Gao Jun, battalion commander of the First Main Force's Trapped Camp!"

"Good, very good, you are a hero of Leopard Court, hehe, sit down!" Qin Che didn't waste any words, got up and walked to the sofa in the reception area, sat in the head seat, and leaned back.

Gao Jun didn't stand on ceremony. He was a soldier and used to being rough around the edges. He plopped down opposite Qin Che, but placed his hands on his knees, looking very obedient.

"What do you have to give to Commander Li? I heard from Gerrard that it's a trophy," Qin Che said with a smile.

Gao Jun immediately took out the Earth Spirit Stone from his pocket, placed it on the coffee table with both hands, and handed it over.

"Yes, it really is it." Qin Che's expression calmed down, his eyes focused as he stared at the stone on the coffee table.

In fact, Qin Che sensed the presence of the Earth Essence Stone as soon as Gao Jun entered the palace, and already knew what was going on.

"Your Highness, this is how it happened..." Gao Jun recounted his previous experiences in a military tone, leaving no detail unexamined.

“You’re lucky. Not everyone can withstand the energy impact of the Earth Essence Stone. Even the Icefield King, a demigod, went almost insane after living with it for over a dozen centuries.”

Gao Jun broke out in a cold sweat. He was also very grateful that he had survived and retained his sanity.

"Has a natural spiritual energy vortex been created within your body?" Qin Che asked casually, while gently stroking the stone on the coffee table with his palm. The next second, the stone disappeared into thin air.

Gao Jun was startled and hurriedly replied truthfully, "There is indeed a vortex the size of a thumb tip inside my body, from which a tremendous power surges forth."

"Make good use of this. This is the operating model of natural psionic energy. Only in this state is it stable. I have already had the Academy of Sciences use this model to calculate the operating laws of natural psionic energy. Many related formulas will soon be written into textbooks and distributed to universities across the country. Psionic energy is one of our great weapons. If we make good use of natural psionic energy, humanity will become stronger and stronger. The same goes for you. Congratulations on attaining transcendence. What do you want to do in Leopard Court in the future? Feel free to tell me."

Qin Che only acquired this 'vortex model' after he entered the demigod realm, and thus he also understood the operating rules of natural spiritual energy.
