Chapter 149 Xie Hengzhi X Yun Qing (02)

Chapter 149 Xie Hengzhi X Yun Qing (02)

Yun Qing lowered her eyes, looking at the beautiful gift box and the note, lost in thought.

Xie Hengzhi actually remembered his own name.

Xie Hengzhi's aesthetic sense is really better than mine.

Although I occasionally wore skirts before, I was at school after all, so I didn't dare to choose colors that were too flashy. But this deep red one in the gift box, with gold threads, was extremely luxurious.

He really liked it, and that afternoon he couldn't wait to change into it, planning to go to the rooftop to thank Xie Hengzhi. But before he could even leave, he was stopped in the bathroom by the crew-cut guy.

"Oh, a new dress." The other person looked him up and down with a very malicious look in their eyes. They slowly unscrewed the can of cola they were holding, and pretended to slip their hand, spilling the cola from his head onto the hem of his dress. "Sorry, my hand slipped."

If open methods don't work, he'll resort to covert ones; he's utterly despicable.

The hem of her skirt was instantly stained with marks of varying depths. Yun Qing glared at him, trembling with anger.

"What, it was just an accident. Are you angry? Are you going to tell Xie Hengzhi?" The crew-cut man smiled, staring at his messy skirt.

Yun Qing raised her hand, snatched the remaining half bottle of cola from him, and poured it directly on his head, saying coldly, "My hand slipped, sorry."

Since Xie Hengzhi said he would protect him, he can fight back.

He ran as soon as he finished pouring the gift, afraid that the other person would catch up. He ran up to the rooftop, but before he got there, he looked down at the marks on his skirt and felt too ashamed to face him. He had ruined the gift on the very first day, so he turned around and left.

"Where are you going?" Xie Hengzhi noticed the figure in the corner, turned his head, and saw the golden threads shimmering beautifully in the sunlight.

"Your skirt is dirty." Yun Qing didn't look at him, but turned her back and said in a low voice, "Go back and wash it."

Xie Hengzhi sat there without moving, his tone indifferent, sounding like a command: "Let me see."

Yun Qing had no choice but to turn around and slowly walk up to him, her head hanging low. Just a moment ago she was fiercely fighting back, but now, with just these three words, tears started falling in a steady stream. She felt so wronged.

"That person... spilled his Coke and made a mess. He's really annoying, he does this every time."

Xie Hengzhi stared at his expression, not quite understanding why he could cry like this over something like this, like a faucet.

Fearing the other person would think she was too weak, Yun Qing forced herself to straighten her back and added, "But... I went back..."

Seeing his pained expression, Xie Hengzhi analyzed, "The one from the day before yesterday was also dirty, but you didn't cry, so you acknowledge that my aesthetic sense is better than yours and that you prefer this one."

Yun Qing was very unwilling to admit it, with tears still on her face, and nodded very lightly: "She is better than me, prettier, I like her very much."

"Then buy another one." Xie Hengzhi showed no emotion towards a dirty dress, saying indifferently, "Why are you crying? Throw this one away."

Yun Qing suddenly stopped crying and tentatively asked, "Will you still buy it for me?"

"Yes." Xie Hengzhi stared at his slender waist, which was tucked into his skirt, and commented, "Besides, I hate ugly things hanging in front of me. He looks much better today."

Yun Qing blinked blankly. Although her words were still very hurtful, at least she was saying that the previous dress was ugly, not him.

Since then, he has never bought clothes for himself again; the dresses were all personally selected by the other party.

Xie Hengzhi made no attempt to conceal his intentions when giving gifts, always having his friends place them directly on his desk. This behavior conveyed a variety of meanings, and gradually, no one dared to cause him any more trouble.

Yun Qing was very troubled after receiving a wardrobe full of things, but Xie Hengzhi hadn't asked her for anything, which was unreasonable.

He didn't dare ask the unpredictable guy directly, so he could only ask his friend Pei Yizhong indirectly: "Is he playing some kind of dress-up game? You mean, the kind where he changes clothes every day?"

“Possibly.” Pei Yizhong, being a straight Alpha, said seriously, “After all, it’s a bit embarrassing for an Alpha to play this kind of online game if word gets out. He can only find some fun with you. He’s a bit of a pervert, so you should let him have his way.”

Yun Qing nodded, finding it reasonable, and breathed a sigh of relief: "That's good."

This is the same principle as feeding someone treats; it's all about gaining some kind of emotional value.

So every time he received a new dress, he would dress up carefully and then go to the rooftop to find Xie Hengzhi, turning around in circles to show him: "This one is a little shorter than the last one. I've grown taller, so the hem of the skirt has to be lowered."

As Xie Hengzhi listened to his words, his gaze slid down and landed on that fair thigh.

They've grown taller. Even though we see each other every few days, there always seems to be something new about them each time we meet.

He nodded slightly: "Understood."

"You haven't said it looks good yet." Yun Qing had become more familiar with him, and her speech became more unrestrained.

"It's alright," Xie Hengzhi replied in the same tone.

Yun Qing persisted: "Can't you say something nice? Other puppies are often praised by their owners too."

Xie Hengzhi frowned, feeling troubled. He shouldn't have agreed in the first place. Now he wanted to get rid of her but couldn't. Besides, Yun Qing was usually very well-behaved and not particularly clingy. He could maintain this distance so that he couldn't bring himself to say anything harsh.

"Well enough."

"It feels forced." Yun Qing pouted, her long eyelashes drooping. "Forget it, don't buy me anything anymore. You're already tired of it."

Xie Hengzhi: ""

It's true that dogs that can't talk are easier to raise; they're too troublesome and require emotional support.

He rarely gave such high praise: "Beautiful."

Yun Qing's expression instantly brightened, and she asked expectantly, "Could you add some more descriptive words?"

Xie Hengzhi paused for a few seconds, his gaze sweeping over the hem of his skirt before looking up again: "Very beautiful."

Yun Qing's dimples deepened: "Xie Hengzhi, you're really good at praising people."

Xie Hengzhi ignored him and turned to look at the figures coming and going on the rooftop. But then he realized that it had been a long time since he had ever cut himself with a knife.

Yun Qing, at times, can indeed distract him from his irritability, like some kind of medicine that can calm his emotions.

When she turned back, she found the other person still staring at her intently. She whispered, "What are you looking at?"

"I heard from Pei Yizhong that after your final exams, you plan to go to Chongqing with him. Is it because you want to be a soldier?" Yun Qing looked up at him.

"I don't know, there's nothing I particularly want to learn." Xie Hengzhi remained calm throughout. "It's just that they need to expand their influence within the military, and this is the fastest shortcut."

Yun Qing said "oh" and whispered her thoughts: "I want to go into business and make a lot of money, so I won't have to be at the mercy of others."

Xie Hengzhi thought of his rather complicated home, and indeed, this was the best way to escape: "That's good."

“If I hadn’t scored too low, I would have wanted to go into politics too. If I could become the leader of the alliance, I would definitely amend the laws and arrest all those bad guys.” Yun Qing said angrily, “They’ve bullied me for years, burned me with cigarette butts, and pushed me off the second floor. They’re really wicked and should be imprisoned.”

Xie Hengzhi had heard him complain many times, which was strange, but he didn't find it annoying.

Perhaps it's because he always had a kind of naivety and straightforwardness, making him the most pleasing to the eye among all the calculating faces around him.

He interrupted, "How about I become the league leader?"

Yun Qing stared at him in disbelief, feeling that this spur-of-the-moment decision was completely unlike Xie Hengzhi's style: "Didn't you just say that there was nothing you particularly wanted to learn?"

Xie Hengzhi stared at him for a few seconds: "Now we have it."

"You're not planning to go because of what I just said, are you?" Yun Qing suddenly asked nervously.

Xie Hengzhi responded calmly with an "Mmm," which served as his reply.

Yun Qing's cheeks suddenly flushed red, her eyes filled with panic, and she stammered, "Is this... appropriate? This isn't appropriate."

Hsieh Heng-chih ignored his question and simply said, "National Chengchi University has a Department of Finance."

This person always spoke like this, but Yun Qing understood immediately, and her lips tightened.

Does this mean they want to invite me to fill in the same college application?

Such a reclusive person, apart from Pei Yizhong, has never been close to anyone, yet he is willing to stay with me.

Yun Qing hesitated for a few seconds, then asked uncertainly, "Didn't you say I was annoying and wanted to get rid of me before?"

Xie Hengzhi stared at his wide eyes, his expression calm: "We made a deal. You accepted several years of protection and even wore the dress I bought. You think you can get something for nothing?"

"Of course not!!!"

But what's in it for him?!

Yun Qing turned around and muttered, "I'll go back and check the admission scores for National Chengchi University; they're a bit high."

Xie Hengzhi threatened in a low voice from behind: "If you don't pass the exam, I'll send you to someone else."
