Chapter 89 I Like You

Chapter 89 I Like You

Duan Zheng's expression was not good.

Lin Yao grabbed his clothes, threw them at him, and said sarcastically, "You lost, trash."

Duan Zheng: "......Damn it, it's him competing, not you. What are you so smug about?"

Lin Yao, with a cold expression, held the microphone and looked down at the person with disdain: "White-cut chicken."

The mocking voice instantly traveled through the loudspeaker to every corner of the hall.

The whole audience burst into laughter. Xie Dai, head held high and chest puffed out, roared in a cheering manner: "White-cut chicken! White-cut chicken! White-cut chicken!"

"Where did this crow come from?" Having managed to remain calm, Duan Zheng nearly exploded at this second retort. He glared at Lin Yao, almost slurring his words with anger: "Aren't you pretty fair-skinned too? Who are you calling a liar? Go ahead and take your clothes off if you dare!"

“I’m afraid you’ll feel inferior a second time.” Lin Yao turned around and glanced at Xie Xingchen, who was fighting for him. “After all, I just beat him.”

“Yes, he won.” Xie Xingchen raised an eyebrow slightly. “He beat me by a large margin. I advise you not to humiliate yourself.”

Duan Zheng: "............."

When did you two become such a united front?

Didn't they fight in the toilet before?

Is the current trend of fighting and then hugging?

His gaze fell on the well-defined muscles, focusing on the hickey, and he said sarcastically, "Oh, so Young Master Xie is in love, huh? He's got a little wildcat biting him here."

"What, are you envious that I have a wife?" Xie Xingchen asked indifferently.

Duan Zheng: ""

Lin Yao, slow to react, was still stuck on the previous sentence. He took the microphone from the side and coldly corrected, "It's not a stray cat."

He paused, then frowned and muttered to himself, "Not my wife either."

Duan Zheng couldn't stand their back-and-forth banter and said coldly, "Are you two performing a crosstalk routine, singing in unison?"

He Li watched the show from below with great satisfaction: "Hey, how come I never noticed before? Xie Xingchen is really going along with Yao-ge now. Is this what a simp looks like? I've seen it all."

Xie Dai shook his head, wiping his feathers with a wet wipe as he said, "Some people's IQs are really outrageously low."

"Who is it, Duan Zheng?" He Li was indeed fed up with this idiot. "He's pretty brain-dead. Who would pull someone aside in public to compare abs? Only Xie Xingchen would be so easily provoked."

Cheng Boyan rarely spoke up to offer advice: "Is it possible that he didn't want Lin Yao to take off his clothes, so he did it himself?"

"Oh?" He Li looked at the two people standing in the center of his gaze. "Has his possessiveness towards Yao Ge become this strong? What a pity, the flower is willing, but the water is indifferent."

"Heartless my foot!" Xie Dai swallowed back the scene from Rose Star. "You stupid and ignorant human."

He Li reached out and pinched the furry man's neck: "If you say that again, I'll scald you into a hot pot."

Lin Yao sat back down, still happy about the victory he had just won. He had a rare moment of kindness and rescued Xie Dai, holding him in his arms: "Don't mess with it."

"Waaaaah, I knew it! You still love me." Xie snuggled into his arms and whispered, "I know, that hickey was from you, right? Hehehehe, so slutty."

Before he could finish speaking, his neck was choked half to death.

Lin Yao shoved Xie Dai into Xie Xingchen's hands and said coldly, "Bury it."

Xie Xingchen couldn't stop laughing. If it weren't for the fact that drinking alcohol is bad for his health, he would really like to feed him a little every day. Lin Yao, who was dizzy and disoriented, was just too lovable, straightforward and cute.

"Brother Yao, are you really drunk?" He Li leaned closer to observe him. "I think you look pretty sober."

Lin Yao was sharp-tongued at everyone: "Because you're an idiot, you can't see it."

He Li gasped, clutching her chest, and reached out to pour him some water: "He's definitely drunk and talking nonsense. I'll go buy you some hangover medicine in a bit."

"Lin Yao's mouth is ten times more lethal after he drinks," Cheng Boyan exclaimed. "You were with him for so long, weren't you humiliated?"

Xie Xingchen recalled how he had held him just now and smiled slightly: "Of course not, he's very well-behaved."

The word "well-behaved" had absolutely nothing to do with Lin Yao. He Li shivered: "You've had too much to drink? What nonsense are you spouting?"

"No, I didn't, but I caught a bit of a chill and have a headache. I want to go home and rest as soon as possible." Xie Xingchen stood up, grabbed the other person, and said, "Come back with me?"

Lin Yao nodded: "Okay."

Then he put Xie Dai in his pocket: "Take it home."

He Li subtly sensed that something was wrong, but couldn't quite put his finger on it.

This scene somehow gave off the vibe of a family of three going out for a meal. As they were about to leave, he finally realized, "Wait, aren't you guys going back to your dorm? Yao-ge, are you going home with him?"

Just as Lin Yao was about to nod, he heard Xie Xingchen say, "What are you thinking about? I'll take him back to Uncle Pei's."

He looked up at the other person, his eyes filled with confusion.

"Don't you need me to come along?" He Li was still very worried. "Xie Xingchen, you can't leave our Yao-ge halfway there."

"When we get home, shall I have General Pei video call you?" Xie Xingchen asked.

He Li crossed his arms and made a gesture of refusal: "I'll decline."

Xie Xingchen chuckled, reached out and grabbed Lin Yao's wrist, gesturing for him to come back with him: "Let's go, you guys have fun."

Lin Yao remained silent until he got into the car, seemingly lost in thought.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" Xie Xingchen was used to his silence, but at this moment, she subtly sensed that it was different from his usual laziness; it was as if he was sulking.

Lin Yao tightened his lips, then relaxed them, then tightened them again.

Xie Xingchen looked at his little gesture and her heart softened: "What do you want to say?"

Lin Yao turned his head, looked at his wind-blown hair, and said bluntly, "I want to go back with you."

Xie Xingchen's lips curved slightly: "Come home with me? Why?"

"I don't know, I just want to." Lin Yao lowered his eyes, unsure how to describe his feelings.

Pei Yizhong treated him very well, taking care of him in every little detail and providing very strict training, demonstrating both a strict father and a loving father. Lin Han also came over once, and if it weren't for taking care of Pei Xiang, who was still in his senior year of high school, she would have even planned to move in for a while.

For the first time, he felt the warmth of home, but he was still feeling lost and unaccustomed to it.

It seems that only in front of Xie Xingchen can she completely relax and be herself, and can get angry, space out, and talk nonsense.

Xie Xingchen turned on his turn signal and turned around in another direction: "Okay, I'll take you back, but you have to tell your godfather that I didn't kidnap you."

Lin Yao nodded and dialed Pei Yizhong's number directly, saying bluntly, "I drank too much with my classmates today and I'm a little dizzy, so I'm not going back. I'm going to Xie Xingchen's house."

A long silence fell on the other end of the phone.

You insist on having it, and you're even proud of it.

He really hadn't learned how to get along with kids yet, even though he was an adult. Pei Yizhong stammered for a while before gently reminding him, "You're an Omega, is it appropriate for you to go to his house so late?"

“It’s suitable. He won’t do anything,” Lin Yao said confidently.

The other party fell silent again.

This is no different from a jerk saying, "I'll just rub against you, I won't go in."

The Xie family's son is still too skilled; his own son simply can't beat him.

Pei Yizhong paused for several seconds before deciding to threaten someone else. He said gently, "Fine, give the phone to Xie Xingchen. I'll give him a few words of advice."

"Your godfather is looking for you." Lin Yao held the phone to his ear. "He's driving, just listen like this."

Pei Yizhong cautiously asked first, "Is it on speakerphone?"

Xie Xingchen smiled and replied, "No."

"If you dare to bully him while he's drunk, I'll go to the school tomorrow and break your legs," Pei Yizhong declared righteously. "And then I'll send a warship to bomb your house, just you wait?"

Xie Xingchen nodded and solemnly assured him, "Okay, I understand."

Pei Yizhong couldn't relax at all and warned a second time: "I really will blow up your house. He's an Omega, and a highly compatible one at that. Can you handle it?"

"I can," Xie Xingchen said meaningfully. "Your son has slept with me many times, so don't worry."

It turned out that his own family was the one who was eagerly seeking help. Pei Yizhong gasped, almost choking: "Fine, goodbye."

Xie Xingchen parked the car, got out, walked around to the passenger side, opened the door, and looked down at him: "Why aren't you leaving?"

"What did Godfather say?" Lin Yao remained seated and added the person back to the blacklist.

"Tell him to remember to give you a glass of honey water before I go to bed, to help with the hangover." Xie Xingchen didn't forget to give his father-in-law a good impression, "He's worried about you and cares about you a lot."

Lin Yao looked up and met his dark pupils, his heart softening completely.

Pei Yizhong's voice was very loud, and even though it wasn't on speakerphone, he could still hear bits and pieces of what he said, mainly because he was afraid that the Omega would be taken advantage of.

However, Xie Xingchen knew he disliked the relatively weaker status of Omegas, so he deliberately omitted the topic.

He was as meticulous as the gentle evening breeze tonight, captivating all who beheld him.

"I remembered the last time I was drunk." Lin Yao was being blown by the wind, his head was actually dizzy, but he regained his senses for a moment. "You were carrying me on your back, but I told you I hated you."

He regretted saying those words back then.

But time cannot be turned back, and their beginnings were indeed tense and irreversible.

Xie Xingchen hummed in agreement, his eyes dimming for a moment before he smiled and said, "I know, it's okay."

“But I don’t hate you anymore,” Lin Yao murmured as he looked at him.

Xie Xingchen responded again, still smiling, "I know that too."

"How do you know everything? There must be things you don't know."

Lin Yao, driven by a competitive spirit, grabbed his collar and pulled him close, their breaths mingling.

He stared at the person for a few seconds, leaned in and kissed him on the lips, then stepped back.

Xie Xingchen froze, his fingertips lightly brushing his lower lip, still retaining the warmth of the touch.

They had kissed more than once, but this time it was the most innocent, yet also the most touching.

Lin Yao's voice was very soft, as if he were talking to himself.

"Xie Xingchen, you don't know, do you? I like you."
