Chapter 18 Qin Shiya's Choice

Then a young man in a suit walked up to Shen Lang and said with a smile, "Hello, sir, I am the manager of Poetry Music Restaurant. Is there anything you are dissatisfied with regarding your meal?"

Shen Lang rolled his eyes helplessly and said speechlessly, "I'm very dissatisfied. I had a meal here and wanted to meet your head chef and ask a few questions. Is your head chef some kind of national treasure, a giant panda? Can't people see him?"

"No, no, sir, you've misunderstood." The restaurant manager smiled and said, "It's almost closing time, and the head chef is quite busy preparing dishes in the kitchen. If you have any questions, just tell me. If I can't answer them, I'll have the head chef answer them."

Upon hearing this, Shen Lang placed the plate of foie gras in front of the manager and asked, "Tell me, was this foie gras taken from a male goose or a female goose?"

"Sir, this..." The manager was speechless for a moment, thinking: Isn't this crazy? How the hell am I supposed to know if it's a male or female goose?

"Do you know?" Shen Lang asked with a serious expression.

The manager shook his head and said with a wry smile, "Sir, I really don't know, but I imagine our head chef probably doesn't know either."

"I said she knows, so she knows. Now call her out here, and don't mess with me, you know that?" Shen Lang said arrogantly.

"Alright, sir, please wait a moment, I'll inform the head chef to come over right away." The manager didn't dare to offend Shen Lang, after all, this guy had arrived in a McLaren, who knew which big shot he was.

At that moment, Qin Shiya, who was preparing food in the kitchen, saw the restaurant manager approaching and asked, "Is there something you need?"

Qin Shiya didn't like this manager very much because he was the first person Zhou Zixiong wanted to pass on a message to, hoping to make her his mistress.

The manager said with a wry smile, "Boss Qin, there's a troublesome customer outside looking for you. He probably knows you. Why don't you go out and take a look?"

Qin Shiya frowned slightly, then handed over her work to the chef next to her and followed the manager out of the kitchen.

Qin Shiya looked at Shen Lang from a distance, quickly trying to recall who he was. After confirming that she didn't recognize him, she stepped forward and asked, "Sir, may I ask what business you have with me?"

"You must be Qin Shiya, right?" Shen Lang asked with a smile.

Qin Shiya nodded.

Shen Lang pointed to the empty plate containing the foie gras and asked, "Is this foie gras from a male goose or a female goose?"

Qin Shiya was dumbfounded. What kind of question was this? Was this a question a human being would ask? Could a human being ask such a question?

Feeling cleansed, Qin Shiya said coldly, "Sir, I'm very busy. If there's nothing else, I'll go back to work."

“I can give you 500,000,” Shen Lang said, taking a sip of coffee.

"What?" Qin Shiya, who was about to leave, stopped in her tracks upon hearing this, slightly shocked: "Who is this person? How did he know I needed 500,000? No one knows about this except for me and my adoptive parents."

Shen Lang looked at Qin Shiya, who was slightly stunned, pointed to the empty seat opposite her, and said with a smile, "Let's sit down and talk."

Qin Shiya sat down opposite Shen Lang as if possessed and asked, "How did you know I needed 500,000?"

Shen Lang shook his head and said, "That's not important. What's important is that I can provide it for you."

Qin Shiya looked at Shen Lang warily and asked, "What are your demands?"

Shen Lang touched his nose and asked, "How much is your annual salary here?"

Qin Shiya replied, "120,000."

“Then I’ll spend 500,000 to buy your time for four years, so you can earn an extra 20,000. For these four years, you can only cook for me and be on call 24 hours a day,” Shen Lang said with a smile.

Qin Shiya tentatively asked, "Can you give me 500,000 right now?"

Shen Lang nodded.

Qin Shiya asked again, "Is it just cooking?"

Shen Lang nodded.

Looking at the handsome man before her, Qin Shiya felt a sudden surge of trust in him. But she still hesitated for a moment.

Shen Lang took out the contract, placed it in front of Qin Shiya, and said with a smile, "Don't hesitate, little girl. You still have to give half of your monthly salary to your family, plus your own expenses, so you can only save three to five thousand a month. By the time you save up 500,000, it will probably be ten years later, and your adoptive parents won't be able to wait for you until then."

Qin Shiya glanced at the contract, which read:

Only Qin Shiya, a mortal, exchanged four years of her free trading experience with the All Things Exchange for 500,000 RMB in cash. Once the contract was signed, neither party could break it.

The contract serves as proof, and heaven and earth bear witness.

Qin Shiya looked at the text on the contract and asked, "What is the Exchange of Everything?"

Shen Lang spread his hands and smiled, "Let me formally introduce myself. My name is Shen Lang, and I am the owner of the All Things Exchange. Here you can get anything you want, provided that you can pay a sufficient price."

"You're not lying to me, are you?" Qin Shiya questioned. What Shen Lang said was too outrageous, simply appalling.

Shen Lang shook his head, then gave the little sprite a command to appear in front of Qin Shiya.

Qin Shiya was startled when she saw the little sprite that suddenly appeared in front of her: "What is this thing?"

The little elf waved to Qin Shiya and smiled, "Hi, little cook. I'm my master's little assistant, my name is Little Elf. Don't be surprised! Only you and my master can see me right now."

Qin Shiya suddenly felt her worldview shattered. This thing that could fly at the size of a palm could actually speak human language and greet her.

"Well, have you made up your mind?" Shen Lang asked with a smile.

Qin Shiya said, "Let me have a break."

After calming down, Qin Shiya pointed at Shen Lang and asked, "You said you are the owner of the All Things Exchange?"

Shen Lang nodded.

"You can trade everything?"

Shen Lang nodded.

Then Qin Shiya looked at Shen Lang and asked a serious question: "Can you tell me who my biological parents are? Where are they? Why did they abandon me?"

Shen Lang nodded and said, "I can tell you, but the price is too high. It's better to wait four years and find it yourself."

"What price? As long as it's within my acceptable range, I'll accept it." Qin Shiya asked nervously. Ever since she learned that her adoptive parents wanted to marry her off to their son, she had been eager to find her family.

Shen Lang said, "Telling you won't help, because they can't solve your current predicament."

"No, I still want to know," Qin Shiya said firmly.

“I can tell you, but you’ll have to give up your freedom for life. Think about it.” After saying that, Shen Lang finished the last sip of coffee in his cup.
