Chapter 11 I'm sorry, I forgot you; I'm sorry, I miss you!

It was her and his marriage agreement.

It takes effect after she turns eighteen, and she can marry at any time, having the same legal effect as a marriage certificate.

Gong Ning carefully read through the contents of the agreement page by page with a serious expression, her big, round eyes sparkling with excitement.

Her little face was filled with barely suppressed excitement and joy. The next second, clutching the file bag, she darted like a whirlwind behind the man who had already walked toward his desk, jumped up, and landed on his broad back. Her little hands gripped his neck tightly, and she was overjoyed with satisfaction.

"Great, great! I almost forgot we had this agreement. Yan Jingzhou, do you have time tomorrow? Let's go get our marriage certificate! Oh, I'm so happy! Let's go get our marriage certificate! Let's go get our marriage certificate!"

Even though Yan Jingzhou was usually calm and composed, he was so shocked by these words that he froze on the spot.

With Gong Ning's tight grip around his neck, his breathing even became somewhat labored.

Even so, he still subconsciously reached behind her to support Gong Ning's body, while the little girl was happily swinging her thin legs like a playful monkey.

Smelling the man's cool and refreshing scent, Gong Ning was so excited that she didn't know how to express her almost frenzied excitement.

She clung to Yan Jingzhou like a little sloth, her heart and eyes filled with him.

Yan Jingzhou restrained himself by curling his fingers and stood still without reacting.

Gong Ning's unexpected behavior was like a pebble that landed unexpectedly in the lake of his heart, splashing up messy water, just like his current state of mind, which was in complete disarray.

After a long while, Gong Ning was so happy that she got tired and quieted down.

The man turned his head to look at her.

The little head rested on the back of his neck, its warm breath gently caressing the skin there. Yan Jingzhou lowered his eyes for a long while.

He suddenly pulled Gong Ning down from behind, and almost at the same moment, he grabbed her under her armpits and lifted her onto the desk, leaning down to meet her gaze.

His gaze was piercing, fixed intently on her face, not missing a single subtle expression.

He reached out and gripped her chin, his icy tone like a blizzard, "Gong Ning, do you know what you're doing? What you're saying?"

Gong Ning froze, staring into his dark eyes, and stammered, "I...I know!"

"What did you say?"

"Let's go get our marriage certificate!"

Her expression was extremely serious, not at all fake. Yan Jingzhou felt a tickle in his throat and spoke in a deep, hoarse voice, "You...you're not old enough yet!"

"I'm an adult now!" the girl said earnestly, her big eyes shining with a solemn and dazzling light.

Yan Jingzhou suddenly fell silent, looking at Gong Ning without saying a word.

But gradually, a few glimmers of starlight rose in his dark eyes, which had been shrouded in clouds for years, like a bright spring day with flowers blooming everywhere.

The man suddenly reached out and gently pulled the girl into his arms, his large, well-defined hand covering her fluffy little head with a tender stroke.

The voice beside her, so beautiful it could make your ears pregnant, carried a hint of gritted teeth and a touch of heart-wrenching pain: "Gong Ning, do you know... you've forgotten me?"

Gong Ning's heart sank, and she suddenly felt breathless. She reached out and hugged his waist tightly, whispering, "I'm sorry, I forgot you, I'm sorry, I miss you!"

Yan Jingzhou suddenly tightened his grip on the girl's hand, a few suppressed emotions flashing across his cold face as if he was trying his best to restrain something. The next second, he suddenly lifted Gong Ning's fair and delicate chin, leaned down, and lowered his head.

It was as fierce and heavy as a sudden storm, as if it wanted to make up for all the money lost and time lost in the past two years in just a few breaths.

"I miss you as well!"

A deep, stimulating voice whispered in my ear.

Gong Ning stared wide-eyed in shock, her hands instinctively gripping the fabric of his shirt at the back of his waist, creating wrinkles and revealing it to be soaked with sweat.

The clean and bright study fell silent once again.

The girl nestled softly into the man's arms, surrounded by the gentle light, creating a warm and tender atmosphere.

A sudden ringing of the phone interrupted this tender moment that felt like a dream. Gong Ning snapped back to reality, and like a startled rabbit, she quickly retreated from the man's embrace and ran out of the study in a flash.

Yan Jingzhou paused for a few seconds, staring at the door that was hastily closed. A faint smile flickered in his calm and gentle eyes. He then picked up his phone from the desk and answered the call.

His expression was cold and aloof, and he reverted to his usual serious and dignified demeanor as the Crown Prince of the Yan Clan, never smiling in public.

Gong Ning swept into the corridor like a small whirlwind, and ran into Butler An who was about to go upstairs. Her rosy face paused, and her first reaction was to cover her face with her hands, ashamed to be seen.

Butler An asked in confusion, "Miss Gong, why are you covering your face? Are you feeling unwell?"

Gong Ning covered her face even tighter, her face seeming to burn even more, and she quickly laughed it off.

"I... I'm just training my hearing by blindfolding myself. I want to see if I can find my room this way! Hehe!"

Butler An, "..."

But miss, you're clearly covering your face.

Gong Ning coughed a few times in a pretentious manner, covered her face, and said seriously, "Butler An, I tried it, but this method doesn't work. Please take me to my room!"

Butler An noticed Gong Ning's unease and wisely refrained from asking further questions, instead leading her to her room.
