Chapter 55 I want to go out and see the world!

"yes!"

The Gong couple rushed to the hospital. Professor Tan had just come out of the operating room. When he saw them, he sighed and nodded in greeting: "Mr. Gong, Mrs. Gong!"

Lu Weixi pursed her lips slightly, "Professor Tan, how is my daughter, A-Yun?"

"You all know her condition very well. This constant torment is only accelerating the depletion of her bodily functions!"

Professor Tan's voice already carried a hint of helplessness; in all his years of medical practice, he had never seen such a disobedient patient.

The patient's condition was already very bad, and they still wouldn't cooperate with the treatment properly!

Lu Weixi's face paled slightly, and she murmured a few times without speaking.

The scene remained silent for a long time. Gong Xiaojing's voice was slightly soft, and a hint of age crept into it. "When can we go in and see her?"

"Let's wait a little longer, at least until tomorrow!"

Professor Tan's voice softened a bit as he looked at the couple in front of him and sighed inwardly.

No matter how prominent or noble their status, they are still just parents, worrying about, cherishing, and loving their children like ordinary people.

No one noticed that at the corner of the corridor, a tall and handsome figure stood quietly, listening to the conversation not far away, his eyes becoming even calmer.

After a long pause, the man suddenly turned and left, his steps as steady as if nothing had happened…

The following afternoon, Gong Ning woke up and ate a little light porridge, but feeling weak, she slowly fell asleep again.

Gong Qiaoyu gently pushed open the door. His black shirt was slightly wrinkled, his hair was messy, a ring of stubble appeared around his mouth, and his face looked slightly haggard.

He stood quietly by the girl's bedside, looking at her peaceful and obedient sleeping face, and sighed softly.

He carefully pulled over a stool, affectionately tapped her nose from afar, and whispered, "Isn't it nice to be as well-behaved as you are now, sleeping peacefully?"

The room was quiet. Gong Qiaoyu chuckled softly, "You little rascal, you're really something, so mischievous."

He paused, then looked at the pale-faced little girl on the hospital bed with affection.

"You're so mischievous. I really wish you could be like other kids your age, playing wildly and carefree, experiencing life in all sorts of ways, making it exciting and wonderful, instead of like this..."

"Have you been drinking?" the girl suddenly asked, her eyes still closed.

Gong Qiaoyu was taken aback for a moment, then smiled and said, "You're awake. Did I wake you up?"

The girl didn't respond to him, stubbornly pursing her lips.

Gong Qiaoyu uttered a single word as she wished, "Mmm!"

Gong Ning smiled mischievously, "Is it delicious? I want to try it too!"

The man smiled helplessly, "Ah Yun, you're not an adult yet!"

"oh!"

The room was silent for a few moments, then the girl called out softly, "Brother!"

"Um?"

"I want to go out and see the world!"

Gong Ning's voice was very calm, revealing no particular emotion, good or bad.

I understood what she was saying.

Gong Qiaoyu stood there stunned, and it took him a while to find his voice, which was a little dry, "A-Yun..."

Gong Ning's eyes were slightly closed, her voice low and somewhat hoarse:

"I often wonder, if a vase that has been shattered into pieces is carefully glued back together to its original state, no matter how valuable it once was, will it be happy as it is now relegated to a shelf?"

Gong Qiaoyu looked at her silently, reached out and took her hand; it was thin and cold.

The air fell silent for several seconds.

Gong Ning suddenly burst into laughter, and as she laughed, tears welled up in her eyes, wetting her temples in waves.

She opened her eyes, turned to look at the silent man beside the bed, and said, "I want to leave here!"

Gong Qiaoyu was startled.
