“No,” Huang Xiaosi said, turning around. “We ran fast, the dog couldn’t catch up.”
"Thank goodness," Jiang Nuan breathed a sigh of relief, then her anger burst forth uncontrollably, "What happened? Why did someone set dogs on you for no reason?"
"This..." Xiao Si touched his nose, not daring to speak again.
“Mom,” Little Fatty explained, “this can’t be blamed on Xiao Si.”
Then, he recounted the whole story from beginning to end, with Jiang Yuan occasionally adding to it.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Nuan's face turned very pale.
"Huang Kun," she addressed him by his full name for the first time, "please explain why you attacked him?"
“Mom, that boy is awful. He kicked a perfectly good dog without warning and said that it was none of anyone’s business if he killed it and ate it. That’s too much to do to a dog.”
“Then let me ask you,” Jiang Nuan began, “if you did this, did the dog spare you?”
Upon hearing this, Huang Xiaosi's face turned green.
Thinking back to what happened, he still feels a little scared.
Several times I felt like the dog was about to bite my butt, just a hair's breadth away.
Pairs of fierce eyes stared at him, roaring as they lunged at him, nearly scaring him to death.
He had already decided as he ran that once he got through this, he would eat every dog in the world to avenge himself.
“Dad,” Jiang Nuan forced a smile, “Go and deliver food to Jiang Xu and the others first, it will be time for dinner soon.”
“Okay,” the old man nodded, “I’m relieved to have found him.”
"Let's eat first," Grandma Jiang said. "It's good that he's back. We can talk about everything else after we eat."
“Mom, you all eat first,” Jiang Nuan glanced at Jiang Yuan, “Jiang Yuan, you stay here to eat too. Xiao Si and Xiao Pang, come out with me for a bit.”
"Where are you going?" Huang Xiaosi asked, puzzled. "Mom, I'm so hungry, can we eat first?"
"Little Four," Little Fatty said softly, "Don't talk, listen to your mother."
Mother is really angry.
After Huang Xiaopang realized this, he felt that the two of them were doomed.
Seeing Jiang Nuan's increasingly cold face, Huang Xiaosi dared not speak anymore, carefully burying his head in his chest, looking as if he was waiting for his fate.
“No matter what, you shouldn’t hit people,” Jiang Nuan said seriously. “Protecting animals is one thing, but provoking them is another. Huang Xiaosi, if you hadn’t started this, none of this would have happened. Both of them are implicated because of you.”
"Do you know the consequences of being bitten by a dog? If you're lucky, you'll survive; if you're unlucky, your life will be ruined. Even the best doctor can't save you. Because of your own recklessness, all three of you have been put in danger. How can you live with yourself?"
"Mother," Xiao Si was startled by his mother's words, "Are you kidding me?"
It's just a few dogs. Even if they were bitten a few times, what difference would it make if they weren't injured?
In ten or eight days, he'll be a hero again.
"You think I'm joking?" Jiang Nuan looked directly at her son. "How can you joke about something as serious as this, where lives are at stake?"
"But, but this is too serious," Huang Xiaosi stammered.
“You’ve escaped this time by luck, but don’t mistake luck for strength,” Jiang Nuan snorted coldly, then continued, “We Huang family members must be responsible for our actions and admit our mistakes. You hit someone first today, so you must apologize. Both of you, come with me.”
“Mother,” Xiao Si said somewhat unwillingly, “I was the one who caused trouble. Fatty didn’t cause any trouble, so he didn’t have to be involved.”
