Chapter 188

When he arrived at Gu Rongqi's car, he saw Cheng Qicai stand up and get into the passenger seat. He said to Gu Rongqi, "Brother, can you give me back my wheelchair now?"

Gu Rongqi was about to return the wheelchair to him when he saw Cheng Qicai get out of the car, walk between them, and plop down in the wheelchair again.

When Gu Liji saw her actions, he was so angry that his nose almost twisted out of shape, and his face turned even redder.

After sitting down, Cheng Qicai looked up at Gu Rongqi and uttered another word, "Pain."

Gu Rongqi looked at Gu Liji.

Gu Liji knew something was wrong from the look in Gu Rongqi's eyes, and sure enough, Gu Rongqi said, "I'll bring the wheelchair back to you tomorrow."

Gu Liji: "..."

Before he could even open his mouth, Gu Rongqi had already pushed Cheng Qicai back into the passenger seat.

“I put the wheelchair in the back,” Gu Rongqi said to Cheng Qicai.

Cheng Qicai nodded, but still turned her head to look behind her, watching Gu Rongqi put the wheelchair into the trunk.

"We'll be leaving now." Gu Rongqi walked to the passenger side and closed the door on Cheng Qicai's side, then walked around the car to the driver's side and said to Gu Liji, who was still there.

"..." His brother treats women like limbs and brothers like clothes.

He walked angrily toward his car.

Inside the car, Gu Rongqi said to Cheng Qicai, "Fasten your seatbelt!"

Cheng Qicai fumbled around in a daze for a while before finally finding the seatbelt.

She pulled it over, searched for the buckle for a while, and then pushed the seatbelt in.

Gu Rongqi watched her movements, sighed, and said to Cheng Qicai, "Let me do it!"

Cheng Qicai let go, and the seatbelt retracted back into place.

Gu Rongqi turned around and slightly propped himself up, kneeling on the seat with his right leg. Then, he leaned over and reached out his hand towards her seatbelt.

With a tug and a pull, he secured the seatbelt buckle in the buckle.

Just as he was about to sit down, he saw Cheng Qicai looking up at him.

Their eyes met, and an ambiguous, intimate moment lingered in the workshop.

Gu Rongqi's Adam's apple bobbed a few times. He looked at Cheng Qicai's rosy face, her breath reeking of alcohol, as if she were drunk. Her head drooped slightly imperceptibly.

He clenched his fist on the back of the leather sofa chair.

"You're so handsome!" Cheng Qicai suddenly blurted out, staring at Gu Rongqi with infatuated eyes. "Can I kiss you?"

Upon hearing Cheng Qicai's words, Gu Rongqi lowered his head even further.

With a breath exchange, the dark shadow on his lips seemed to reach out and kiss him faster than he actually was.

Gu Rongqi looked into Cheng Qicai's amber eyes, which were now filled with his own image.

After a moment of silence, Gu Rongqi returned to the driver's seat.

"Aren't we going to kiss anymore?" Cheng Qicai turned to look at Gu Rongqi and asked, confused.

Completely disregarding the current internal struggle between heaven and man, and the life or death of Gu Rongqi, whose breathing was slightly heavy.

Upon hearing Cheng Qicai's question, Gu Rongqi's hands gripping the steering wheel bulged with veins, and his knuckles turned white from the force.

Finally, he took a deep breath, turned on the car key, and drove off.

Gu Rongqi occasionally glanced at Cheng Qicai, but received no response and did nothing.

She remained quiet throughout the journey, simply gazing silently ahead, lost in thought.

When they arrived at Cheng Qicai's apartment building, Gu Rongqi opened the passenger door on Cheng Qicai's side and let her out.

"Do you still need to use a wheelchair?" Gu Rongqi asked in a low voice.

Cheng Qicai nodded.
