Seeing Gu Rongqi smile, Cheng Qicai felt relieved. She took his hand, tilted her head, and looked at Gu Rongqi triumphantly, "Don't be angry with me anymore, okay?"
Seeing her ingratiating expression, Gu Rongqi nodded gently, "Okay, she wasn't really angry."
Hearing Gu Rongqi say that, Cheng Qicai snorted inwardly. Just pretend. If he wasn't really angry, why wouldn't he hold hands?
However, Cheng Qicai only dared to complain in her heart, but she still smiled honestly at him on the surface.
She pulled Gu Rongqi forward, saying, "Okay, let's go shopping."
Looking at the flowers in his arms, Gu Rongqi smiled secretly above her head, his expression full of affection.
As the two walked into the mall, Cheng Qicai noticed the flowers in Gu Rongqi's hand and suggested, "Why don't we store the flowers somewhere? It would be too much trouble to carry them around like this."

Hearing the sound, the white figure turned around and saw the two people. The gaze fell on their clasped hands, the large and small bags in Gu Rongqi's hands, and the flowers in Cheng Qicai's arms.
Cheng Qicai felt a little embarrassed by his gaze and wanted to let go, but Gu Rongqi seemed to have a premonition. After Cheng Qicai moved her hand, he tightened his grip.
Cheng Qicai was held and dared not struggle anymore. It had taken her several hours to coax Gu Rongqi, and she didn't want to have to coax him again later.
So all she could do was give Gu Liji an awkward smile at his shocked expression, "Brother Gu, you're here!"
But Gu Rongqi wasn't as good-tempered as her. His smile faded, and he asked somewhat coldly, "Why are you here?"
"Brother, I just came to see you. You said you've been back from G country for so long, and we still haven't seen each other." Gu Liji replied dryly.
He hadn't expected to see the two of them so intimately, so he was momentarily stunned.
Is this really his brother, who adheres to the rules and is aloof and elegant? How come he's become so worthless after so long?
Cheng Qicai saw the two of them standing at the door talking and gently tugged at Gu Rongqi's sleeve.
"Come in!" Gu Rong glanced at him, opened the door, and let Gu Liji in.
Gu Rongqi put the things he was carrying into the restaurant.
Cheng Qicai then went to the living room and placed the flowers on the coffee table.
She poured herself a glass of water and then asked, "Brother Gu, what would you like to drink?"
"Plain water." Gu Liji glanced at her, and seeing that Cheng Qicai acted as naturally as if she were back in her own home, he hesitated to speak.
He had just seen his brother's face fall considerably the moment he saw him, as if he wasn't very welcoming of his arrival.
Cheng Qicai placed the water in front of Gu Liji and then sat down.
For a moment, Cheng Qicai didn't know what to say to Gu Liji, so she could only ask awkwardly, "Brother Gu, why didn't you call when you got to the door?"
"I just arrived and was just about to call you." In reality, he wanted to catch you off guard.
He wanted to see if the two were together, but now he didn't need to ask; the scene he just witnessed already gave him the answer.
He originally planned to check with Cheng Qicai after seeing no one at Gu Rongqi's place, but only made a phone call if no one was there.
As soon as he arrived at Gu Rongqi's place, he saw the two of them return.
"Oh, Brother Gu, do you want some snacks?" Cheng Qicai took out some snacks from under the cabinet.
"Okay, thank you." Gu Liji accepted the snacks from Cheng Qicai's hand and thanked her.
The two were as polite as if they were meeting for the first time.
No, she was even more polite than when they first met. The first time she saw Gu Liji, she smiled and showered her with sweet words!
But the atmosphere between the two was awkward, and neither of them spoke for a moment, just staring at each other.
They both noticed a hint of embarrassment on each other's faces. Perhaps it stemmed from their changed status?
As they remained silent, Gu Rongqi emerged from the restaurant.
He glanced at the two people sitting on either side, then walked over and sat down next to Cheng Qicai.
Gu Liji asked curiously, "Brother, if you hadn't posted your update, I wouldn't have known you two were together. By the way, how long have you been together?"
He was genuinely curious about this. He remembered that Gu Rongqi hadn't been back from G country for very long, had he? Cheng Qicai hadn't agreed to anything for so long before, so how come they were together after only a few days back?
Speaking of this, Gu Rongqi's tone softened considerably, "A few days ago."
"Oh, I see..."
Before Gu Rongqi's relationship ended, he had a lot to say, but now that they're together, he has nothing to say.
If he offers his blessings, things get tense again between his brother and his uncle; if he doesn't, his brother has taken so long to win her over.

Cheng Qicai picked up the potato chips on the table and started eating.
Gu Rongqi turned his gaze to her and asked, "Are you hungry?"
