After a month of not returning home, she was called back by Ms. Yun's relentless calls.
"Once you start working, you're like a wild horse that's broken free, a swallow that's left its nest. It's been over a month, and you didn't even know I was back until you called!" Ms. Yun scolded her in a strong voice.
Cheng Qicai muttered under her breath, "With you at home, who would dare to come back?"
Ms. Yun glared at him, "You learn everything from your father, secretly cursing behind his back... You've only been working for a short time, and you didn't even call to tell me when your hand was crushed. You're so careless in everything you do..."
"I know, Mom. If you keep nagging, my hand is already injured," Cheng Qicai interrupted helplessly.

As Gu Rongqi listened to the manager's introduction, he felt a gaze fixed on him and looked in the direction of his sixth sense.
He saw Cheng Qicai, her mouth stuffed full like a hamster's, staring at him with her dark, shiny eyes.
Cheng Qicai noticed that Gu Rongqi was looking in her direction, and lowered her head in alarm.
Then she thought again, why is she hiding? It's the weekend.
So she gave a standard smile and waved in Gu Rongqi's direction.
Cheng Qicai thought that the matter was over after exchanging greetings, but to her surprise, Gu Rongqi said a few words to the person next to him and then walked towards her.
Cheng Qicai was taken aback, watching Gu Rongqi walk up to her, unsure of what to do. She stood up and greeted him awkwardly, "Mr. Gu, what a coincidence."
Gu Rongqi smiled politely, "It is quite a coincidence."
"Mr. Gu, would you like something to eat?" Cheng Qicai fawned over Gu Rongqi and pushed the tray full of hamburgers and snacks in front of him.
Gu Rongqi frowned deeply as he looked at the plate of junk food and said disapprovingly, "Eat less of this unhealthy stuff."
"Occasionally, occasionally," Cheng Qicai dodged the question, secretly dragging the plate back. She changed the subject, asking, "President Gu, what are you doing here?"
It's surprising that Gu Rongqi, despite her young age, is as old-fashioned as her parents.
His elite attire certainly didn't fit into the burger joint.
"I've come to inspect." Gu Rongqi said succinctly, and Cheng Qicai's sipping of cola made his brows furrow even more.
Cheng Qicai suddenly remembered that Ouqi was a retail company, and this shopping mall was indeed under Ouqi's name, so Gu Rongqi could indeed be here.
Poor thing, having to work on the weekend.
Cheng Qicai then remembered his status as the owner of a listed company and instantly suppressed her pity.
Working people can never empathize with capitalists, never.
The restaurant was filled with parents dining with their children who were on holiday. Many children held a yellow duck in their hands, its eyes conveying a sense of lifelessness, while quacking sounds came from all directions.
Gu Rongqi's gaze fell on the duck on the tray, which looked exactly like the child's finger. His eyes were full of confusion, not understanding what was so fun about this noisy duck.
Cheng Qicai noticed that Gu Rongqi's gaze was fixed on the duck and assumed he was interested.
He picked it up and held it up to Gu Rongqi, saying, "Mr. Gu, don't you also think this duck is particularly fun?"
"..." Gu Rongqi didn't understand, but he didn't refute her.
