"You have it."
Gu Rongqi was more certain than she was.
"I have no patience."
"..."
The two walked over, and Song Luo praised, "Rong Qi, we ate the ones you grilled, your cooking skills are pretty good."
Ms. Yun praised, "Xiao Qi is an excellent cook. Whenever he comes to our house, he helps out in the kitchen. Look at Qi Cai, doesn't his face look rounder than before?"
Song Luo glanced at Cheng Qicai, "Yes, a little..."
Cheng Qicai touched the flesh on her cheeks; they did seem a bit thick.
There's nothing we can do about it; Gu Rongqi's cooking is just so delicious.
The saying "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach" applies not only to men.
After dinner, the group sat together and chatted. Since she started dating Gu Rongqi, Ms. Yun's temper had become more docile, and she no longer had the exasperated and demanding attitude she used to have towards marriage.
Of course, she's not the one we talk about the most now, but Gu Rongqi.
Judging from Gu Rongqi's character, he is exactly the kind of "other people's child" that Ms. Yun likes: excellent in both character and academics, elegant in demeanor, and knowledgeable and reasonable.
Even if Gu Rongqi does nothing, as long as Ms. Yun interacts with him, it will be difficult for her to be dissatisfied with him.
Not to mention that Gu Rongqi wanted to curry favor with Ms. Yun, and his methods were so effective that even she, a young woman, couldn't resist them, let alone Ms. Yun.
For him, pleasing Ms. Yun was an easy task.
In short, Ms. Yun was extremely satisfied with Gu Rongqi.
Ms. Yun privately believed that Gu Rongqi was good in every way, but he had bad taste in women.
She even chatted with Cheng Qicai in private. She thought that someone as good as Yun Su Ni was already quite lucky to have met someone like Lu Qi. Apart from his bad temper, he was alright.
Cheng Qicai knew that Ms. Yun had never liked Lu Qi's temper.
Ms. Yun originally thought that it would be fine for Cheng Qicai to find someone like Mr. Cheng who had a good temper and cared about his family.
Unexpectedly, her luck was even stronger.
Cheng Qicai neither agreed nor disagreed with Ms. Yun's words, but she did acknowledge that she was lucky.
Cheng Qicai and Gu Rongqi returned home. She lay on the sofa scrolling through her phone when Gu Rongqi came over. "It's so late. Are you staying here tonight?"
"Mmm," Cheng Qicai replied lazily.
Anyway, Gu Rongqi had her toiletries here, and it wasn't the first time she had stayed overnight. She was too lazy to bother with anything. After coming back, she felt very tired and just wanted to lie quietly and be a lazy bum.
The two washed up and lay down in bed.
Cheng Qicai had just finished showering, so she wasn't sleepy. She was playing on her phone while leaning against the headboard. When Gu Rongqi leaned closer, she covered her phone to her chest and looked at him warily.
Gu Rongqi narrowed his eyes slightly. "What? Can't I look?"
“No.” Cheng Qicai answered decisively, her words ringing with conviction. “Everyone has their own privacy, and we should all respect each other.”
On her phone, not to mention the novels she read, there were all the things she and Wu Jieyu talked about with Gu Rongqi, as well as the comments under those videos. She would let Gu Rongqi see her phone for the rest of her life.
Seeing her wary look, Gu Rongqi chuckled lightly, his tone somewhat cold, "Do you have some unspeakable secret?"
"Of course!" Cheng Qicai nodded emphatically.
Meeting Gu Rongqi's deep gaze, a seed of guilt sprouted in her heart.
She then remembered that Gu Rongqi had told her his phone password and other things today, and now she was being a little too wary of him. She added, "I just have a little hobby of keeping things on my phone, that's all, I promise!"
Based on her past experiences, Gu Rongqi could roughly guess what her little hobby was.
“Okay,” Gu Rongqi compromised and moved a little further away from her. “I want to post today’s photos on my WeChat Moments, is that okay?”
Cheng Qicai was taken aback. "A photo?"
Gu Rongqi handed her the update he was about to post. The photos were of their trip that day, with the one in the center being a picture of Song Luo feeding Gu Rongqi watermelon.
Cheng Qicai looked at it, then asked hesitantly, "Wouldn't it be bad if your parents saw this?"
Gu Rongqi took her hand and said, "It's nothing. I can't let them prevent me from posting happy photos for the rest of my life."
Cheng Qicai thought about it and agreed that it made sense. They already knew about her, so there was no need to hide it.
So she nodded slightly.
Gu Rongqi's hand landed on the two words "Published" and saw the words "Sent successfully".
A slight smile played on his lips as he turned to look at Cheng Qicai, who was playing on her phone.
He picked up the book from the bedside table, and the two of them read it without disturbing each other, a warm atmosphere lingering between them.
Cheng Qicai was getting sleepy while playing on her phone. She yawned and slid into the blankets.
Seeing this, Gu Rongqi looked down and asked her, "Are you sleepy?"
"Hmm..." Cheng Qicai placed her phone on the bedside table.
Gu Rongqi also put the book he was holding on the bedside table, lay down in the quilt, and hugged Cheng Qicai close.
After finding a comfortable position in his arms, Cheng Qicai began to drift off to sleep.
"Seven colors..."
As she drifted off to sleep, she heard Gu Rongqi's voice and instinctively responded, "Mmm..."
"Are you going to move in with me?"
"Um……"
"Will you remember tomorrow?"
"What……"
Gu Rongqi repeated in her ear, "Are you going to move in with me?"
This time, Cheng Qicai heard him clearly, and she was immediately startled awake. She opened her eyes with a start and looked at him in disbelief.
