Qianzhi slept exceptionally soundly. When she opened her eyes and saw the unfamiliar surroundings, she was momentarily disoriented. After a few moments, she remembered where she was.
She got up and walked out of the room. She smelled the sweet aroma of cake in the air and heard Cheng Liqi and Gu Rongqi talking in the kitchen.
She sat in the living room for a while without disturbing the two of them. She couldn't hear their conversation clearly, but she knew that they had been talking non-stop since she came out, with laughter interspersed from time to time.
When Cheng Qicai went out, she saw Qianzhi sitting on the sofa. "Auntie, you're awake? Why didn't you call us?"
Qianzhi replied calmly, her expression mirroring her demeanor when she was unfamiliar with Gu Rongqi, "Just woke up."
"Oh, we made a cake." Cheng Qicai walked into the kitchen and brought out a plate of cupcakes. She said a little shyly, "These few with the slightly ugly frosting are mine, and the nicer ones are made by Gu Rongqi."
"Okay." Qianzhi looked down at the various cakes in front of her, picked one up and ate it.
"By the way, Auntie, I just got through to my parents on the phone, and they agreed."
When Cheng Qicai called Ms. Yun to tell her about this, it instantly ignited Ms. Yun's anger. Her exact words were, "They won't discuss things properly when they want to, but as soon as they see their son is about to die and they're in deep trouble, they know they should come and discuss things properly."
That's a rough way of putting it. Cheng Qicai could only be thankful that she hadn't made the call in front of Qianzhi.
After much persuasion, Cheng Qicai finally convinced Ms. Yun to agree.
Ms. Yun also knew that Gu Rongqi's marriage into the family was not a simple matter, and she was just venting her anger by deliberately scolding Gu Lubo.
After venting her frustrations, Ms. Yun nodded in agreement, saying that a week wasn't too long.
However, before hanging up the phone, she earnestly instructed Cheng Qicai that if they couldn't reach an agreement within a week, they absolutely could not back down.

After taking a day to check on her shop, Cheng Qicai went to Yun Su Ni's house to see Lu Yiyuan.
As soon as she entered, she teased Lu Yiyuan, who was crawling on the sofa, "Long time no see, do you still remember me, Yuanyuan?"

"Much better."

"Auntie agreed, but Uncle didn't." Cheng Qicai turned around and chatted with them after hearing their conversation.
“Your dad is stubborn.” Lu Qi chuckled and looked Gu Rongqi up and down. “However, you’ve reaped what you sowed. If you had been as troublesome as we were when you were young, your dad wouldn’t have been so confused for so long.”
Gu Rongqi's temperament is well-known in their circle. Everyone has a rebellious moment when they are young, but Gu Rongqi is the only one who hasn't.

Yun Su Ni said a few more words to comfort her.
She would play with Lu Yiyuan's toys to amuse him, and watching his chubby limbs crawl toward her made her feel happy.
Gu Rongqi looked at the two of them, his eyes filled with tenderness.
Seeing him like this, Yun Su Ni was both happy for Cheng Qi Cai and worried for her.
After Cheng Qicai and the others left, Yun Suni asked Lu Qi worriedly, "Do you think Gu Rongqi's father will really agree?"
