The destination was reached quickly, and Gu Rongqi stepped off the car with his long legs.
Cheng Qicai, who was sitting by the window, spotted Gu Rongqi's car at a glance. She waved to Gu Rongqi as he got out of the car, "Mr. Gu, this..."
Gu Rongqi heard the sound and walked towards the location of the colorful restaurant.
Cheng Qicai pushed the menu over, "President Gu, what would you like to eat?"
Gu Rongqi didn't refuse much and ordered a few dishes.
After the dishes were served, Cheng Qicai opened the thermos she had brought and put it together with the dishes. She then asked the waiter for a soup bowl and diligently ladled out a bowl of soup for him.

After finishing her meal, Cheng Qicai used the excuse of going to the restroom to pay the bill at the front desk.
"Seven colors!" A familiar voice came from behind.
Cheng Qicai turned her head and exclaimed in surprise, "Sister, what are you doing here?"
"I came to have lunch with my senior. I'm working overtime at the company today."
Upon hearing Yun Suni's words, she realized that Gu Rongqi and Lu Qi's companies seemed to be located nearby.
It's quite a coincidence that we can still run into each other now that it's past 1 a.m.
Cheng Qicai's attention was drawn to the word "senior" again, and her suspicious gaze fell on the man who came with Yun Su Ni.
He wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses on his nose, looking gentle and polite, somewhat similar to Gu Rongqi next to him, but his demeanor was much more approachable.
Unlike Gu Rongqi, whose calm smiles could not conceal the sharp aura of a superior, Gu Rongqi's demeanor was different.
He seems to be the second male lead.
Her characteristics perfectly match the description in the novel: Xu Wuruo, a gentle senior from university, joined the male lead's company at the same time as the female lead after graduation, both working in R&D, but on different projects. Both at school and at work, they are very compatible partners.
Compared to the carefree Gu Liji, Xu Wuruo is more threatening to the male protagonist.
However, Xu Wuruo was still a gentleman when it came to relationships, unlike Gu Liji who was immoral. After he learned that the male and female protagonists were together, he silently protected Yun Su Ni.
"What are you doing here?" Yun Suni asked, puzzled. She wondered why she would see Cheng Qicai here.
"I have something to attend to; I'm having dinner with President Gu," Cheng Qicai explained.
She hesitated whether to suggest that Yun Suni come with them, since Gu Rongqi was there.
She followed them into the restaurant, and Gu Rongqi immediately spotted Cheng Qicai entering with Yun Suni.
Yun Su Ni clearly saw it too, and stepped forward to greet him, "President Gu".
“Miss Yun,” Gu Rongdian nodded in response.
Cheng Qicai saw that Gu Rongqi had finished eating and showed no intention of getting up to leave.
She was unsure of Gu Rongqi's thoughts and didn't know what to say to her sister.
A pair of eyes darted back and forth between the two people.
She kind of wanted to stay and watch the gossip between the female lead and the second male lead!
Gu Rongqi didn't make things difficult for her for long, and politely asked, "Miss Cheng, if you don't mind, would you like to come along?"
Yun Su Ni turned to look at Xu Wu Ruo, "Is it okay, senior?"
“Of course,” Xu Wuruo smiled generously at them, “Then I’ll have to bother you!”
The two sat down, and the waiter brought the menu. Yun Suni looked at it for a while and then handed it to Xu Wuruo, saying, "Senior, you can order."
Xu Wuruo took the menu and naturally ordered a few dishes. "The flavored sea bass here is very good. I remember you like shrimp, so how about steamed egg with shrimp and clams, and finally a pork rib and corn soup?"
He looked up at Yun Su Ni, who was sitting next to Cheng Qi Cai. Only after she nodded did Xu Wu Ruo shift his gaze to Cheng Qi Cai and Gu Rong, and stood up. "Mr. Gu and Ms. Cheng, would you like some more?"
Cheng Qicai looked at Gu Rongqi and said, "No need, thank you."
She shook her head as well.
Xu Wuruo returned the menu to the waiter, while Cheng Qicai discreetly observed him.
I was wondering why I hadn't met the second male lead before, but I didn't expect to meet him now.
Yun Suni and the others' dishes were served quickly. Xu Wuruo skillfully took Yun Suni's soup bowl and ladled out a bowl of soup. "Would you like some soup?"
Cheng Qicai and Gu Rongqi shook their heads.
"Slow down, put the soup bowl on top so you don't get burned later," Xu Wuruo instructed Yun Suni to put the bowl next to her on top.
She then pushed the steamed egg with shrimp and clams towards her.
Seeing this, Cheng Qicai couldn't help but say, "Sister, your senior is so good to you."
"Huh?" Yun Suni looked between Xu Wuruo and her blankly, and smiled, "Senior is a very good person. He is good to everyone."
"Hey, really? Does Senior treat everyone else the same way he treats Sister? He even remembers everyone's tastes?" Cheng Qicai tilted her head and winked at Xu Wuruo.
Xu Wuruo laughed: "No, I only do that to Su Ni."
"Oh..." Cheng Qicai drawled out, looking like she knew perfectly well.
She hadn't expected Xu Wuruo to be so honest, to just tell the truth like that.
She was waiting to see how Yun Suni would react, but all she heard Yun Suni say was, "Senior is a total siscon. I look a bit like his sister, so he's projecting his feelings for his sister onto me."
