Gu Rongqi walked up to her and observed her condition. Her eyes were unfocused, and she was clearly not awake.
He reached out to help her up, but she dodged him, so he asked, "What are you doing?"
"Let's play games!" she said, picking up a used napkin from the table and throwing it at him. "Your turn."
"I'll take you home." Gu Rongqi frowned even more, not wanting to say anything more to this drunkard.
"no!"
Cheng Qicai refused excitedly and staggered towards Gu Rongqi.
Gu Rongqi was afraid she would fall, so he reached out and caught her. The impact made him hug Cheng Qicai tightly, and his feet involuntarily took a few steps back.
Cheng Qicai raised her head, her face flushed a soft pink, her eyes misty with the effects of alcohol, and her slender fingers poked his chest repeatedly.
"It's your turn, it's your turn..." He kept babbling, his hot breath spraying lightly on his chin. Gu Rongqi's breath hitched, and his consciousness became clouded by the alcohol.
"Okay, get up first." Gu Rongqi struggled to tilt his head back, deciding to agree to the drunkard's request first.
Cheng Qicai grumbled and withdrew from Gu Rongqi's embrace, handing her a wad of paper from the table.
As the heat source disappeared, Gu Rongqi regained consciousness, though his hand remained unconsciously on her shoulder, as if he could pull her back at any moment.
Looking at the filthy tissue, Gu Rongqi's brows furrowed so deeply they could trap a fly. "What is this?"
"Handkerchief." Cheng Qicai said blankly, "You've been caught in the handkerchief-dropping game."
Gu Rongqi took a deep breath and spoke softly, as if coaxing a child, "How about I take you to find a new handkerchief? This one is all wrinkled, it's not good."
Cheng Qicai nodded obediently.
Gu Rongqi took her wrist and led her towards the parking area.
Cheng Qicai was very obedient the whole way, neither making a fuss nor causing any trouble. When you talked to her, she would answer almost every question.
He let Cheng Qicai get in the car first. Gu Liji was placed on the far right by the driver.
With two drunkards in the car, the interior was immediately filled with a strong smell of alcohol, so Gu Rongqi told the driver to open the windows to let in some fresh air.
"Handkerchief, handkerchief..." Cheng Qicai tugged at Gu Rongqi's hand, turning it over and over, trying to find the handkerchief he had hidden.
Gu Rongqi has always maintained social distance from others since he was a child, even his own parents. This rule was taught to him by example.
He was very uncomfortable with the inappropriate distance he had been in today, especially with Cheng Qicai holding his hand now.
The soft, smooth touch made his hands involuntarily go numb and hot, and his heart began to pound restlessly.
The unfamiliar feeling and emotions made him subconsciously shake off Cheng Qicai's hand.
After a moment of silence, Gu Rongqi realized that he had shaken the object with too much force.
Looking up at Cheng Qicai, he saw her staring at him with wide eyes.
It made him feel like he had made a terrible mistake. Gu Rongqi pursed his lips, about to say something, when Cheng Qicai turned her back to him.
She reached out and touched Gu Liji's hair, then slowly began to braid it.
Gu Liji's hair is layered, slightly long and choppy, and he usually styles it in a casual and unrestrained way.
He was now leaning against the window, his once neat hairstyle now a mess. Cheng Qicai, being a drunkard, was rough and didn't hold back, pulling Gu Liji's head so hard it slammed against the glass.
Gu Liji was completely drunk and passed out, so he had no idea what Cheng Qicai was doing to him.
Gu Rongqi sighed, feeling that he shouldn't be arguing with a drunkard.
Cheng Qicai used her hair tie to fix the crooked braids and admired her masterpiece for a while with satisfaction.
The next second, she cupped Gu Liji's face in her hands and her head suddenly leaned in.
Cheng Qicai felt a sharp pain in her arm, and with a strong pull, her vision blurred and she fell onto Gu Rongqi.
Undeterred, she struggled to get out of Gu Rongqi's arms and looked towards Gu Liji, "Doll, kiss."
The hands around her waist tightened, and a stern, deep voice came from above her head: "No."
“Doll, doll…” Cheng Qicai twisted her body and reached out to Gu Liji.
This time, Gu Rongqi also encircled her hands in his arms, giving her no chance to lean in one direction.
Unable to move, Cheng Qicai angrily bit Gu Rongqi's shoulder.
But now that it's cold, Gu Rongqi is wearing a dark gray wool coat, and Cheng Qicai only makes Gu Rongqi feel a slight itch, but not anything else.
It felt like being rubbed by a puppy's baby teeth.
After taking a bite, Cheng Qicai looked up at Gu Rongqi triumphantly, muttering, "I'll bite you to death."
Gu Rongqi chuckled at her words and asked in a low voice, "Are you a puppy?"
"No, I am Golden Bean!!!" Cheng Qicai answered with great pride.
Golden beans? Gu Rongqi didn't understand her logic.
Although drunkards don't really have any logic.
The car stopped in front of the villa. Cheng Qicai was helped inside by Gu Rongqi, while Gu Liji was led back by the butler who came to greet them.
Gu Rongqi doesn't like too many people in the villa at night, so usually only two or three people are on duty.
Butler Wang was unaware that Gu Rongqi had brought back two people, and as usual, he came out to greet them.
"Uncle Wang, have someone prepare a guest room. Gu Liji can stay in his original room," Gu Rongqi instructed. "Also, make a bowl of hangover soup."
Gu Rongqi looked at Cheng Qicai with a headache. Compared to her confused state in the car, she was now full of energy and excited.
From the moment she entered, she wandered around the villa.
Several times, Gu Rongqi saw Cheng Qicai brushing against the edges of the furniture, and he had to chase after her and grab her.
"Let me go, I'm about to get out of the maze!" Cheng Qicai struggled.
Gu Rongqi, feeling a headache coming on, pulled her toward the sofa. He had never known that someone could be so unruly when drunk.
Cheng Qicai deliberately went against him, but Gu Rongqi wouldn't let go.
Suddenly, she turned around, used her other free hand to make a chop, and leaped up to strike Gu Rongqi on the head, shouting passionately, "Die, you evil goblin!"
Gu Rongqi, wincing in pain, released Cheng Qicai's wrist.
Wang Ben saw this scene as soon as he came downstairs and quickly went up to ask, "Rong Qi, are you alright?"
Gu Rongqi's eyes were seeing stars. He covered his head and shook his head. "Look where she went."
Taking advantage of the moment Gu Rongqi loosened his grip, Cheng Qicai vanished in a flash.
Wang Ben took out the tablet with the villa monitoring software installed and found Cheng Qicai's escape route.
