"Take me to Guliji!"
Cheng Qicai nodded and led Gu Rongqi to Gu Liji's office. She knocked on the door, but there was no response. She knocked again, but still no response.
She sensed something was wrong and exchanged a glance with Gu Rongqi. She remembered that Lin Fengjie had a key, so she said to Gu Rongqi, "Brother Lin seems to have a key."
She jogged back to her office, explained the situation to Lin Fengjie, and the group opened Gu Liji's office.
Gu Liji wasn't in his seat, nor was he in the lounge; only the glass window was open.
The group walked to the window and looked down.
Just as the group craned their necks to look down, a voice rang out from behind them, "What are you doing?"
Everyone turned around and saw Gu Liji holding a bowl of wontons and looking at them.
After the misunderstanding, everyone fell silent.
Gu Rongqi finally spoke up, asking, "Where did you go?"
Gu Liji scratched his head. "I'm a little hungry, so I'm going downstairs to buy something."
Why is the window open?
"It's a bit stuffy, just wanted some fresh air," Gu Liji answered truthfully. He looked at Gu Rongqi curiously, "Brother, what brings you here?"
"Look at you!" Gu Rongqi's voice was somewhat deep as he looked at the documents on the desk. "Why haven't you finished your work?"
“Uh…” This time it was Gu Liji’s turn to not know what to say. Under Gu Rongqi’s imposing gaze, he admitted defeat and replied, “I will handle it immediately.”
Then, Gu Rongqi watched as Gu Liji finished processing the documents in the remaining time.
Gu Liji had no idea what he had done to offend his brother, so he could only grit his teeth and finish reading the document.
