There were quite a few people, and fearing that Gu Rongqi would get impatient while waiting, she would occasionally turn around to look at him.
Gu Rongqi seemed to have a keen sense of gaze; every time Cheng Qicai looked at him, he could accurately look up back at her.
When she returned, Gu Rongqi said to her, "Liji just sent me his location. They're over at Qinglu River. Why don't you finish eating first and then go over?"
"It's okay, I'll eat as I walk."
Gu Rongqi frowned, about to say something, but seeing that Cheng Qicai had already walked forward, he had no choice but to follow.
This oden tastes pretty good. Cheng Qicai picked up a fish ball, but before she could put it in her mouth, her lips had barely touched it when the skewer in her hand suddenly slipped, and the white fish ball fell straight to the ground.
Cheng Qicai took a step back, and the fish ball bounced twice on the ground before rolling down the steps.
Cheng Qicai looked at her clothes. Luckily, the fall hadn't landed on them, but unfortunately, it had landed on her shoes.
Cheng Qicai looked at the dusty fish balls with displeasure.
My fish balls! Gone just like that. Cheng Qicai wailed inwardly.
"I'll hold it for you, you wipe your shoes first."
Gu Rongqi's voice brought her back to her senses. She looked down at the oil stains on her shoes, thanked Gu Rongqi, and handed him the bowl she hadn't finished eating.
Cheng Qicai took out a tissue from her pocket, bent down to wipe off the oil stains on her shoes, and then picked up the fallen fish ball and threw it into the trash can.
Gu Rongqi suggested, "Let's sit down and finish our meal before we leave."
"Okay." Cheng Qicai looked at the bowl of oden and realized that there wasn't much left. She figured that finishing it before leaving wouldn't take much time.
There was nowhere to sit nearby, so the two of them could only stand in a corner and wait for Cheng Qicai to finish eating.
"Slow down, no rush." Gu Rongqi saw that her mouth was stuffed full, and she hadn't even finished one before stuffing another into her mouth.
Upon hearing this, Cheng Qicai slowed down a little, but it still made Gu Rongqi frown.
