"Golden Beans are here." Cheng Qicai reached out shyly to pry open the hands that were binding her.
He tried to pry it open, but Gu Rongqi's hand didn't budge.
"Golden Bean, go over there," Gu Rongqi shouted in a hoarse voice.
Watching Golden Bean tuck its tail between its legs and walk over to the big tree that Gu Rongqi had mentioned.
Cheng Qicai was somewhat dissatisfied, "You're being a bit too harsh on it."
"Mmm." Gu Rongqi responded softly, then bent down and rested his head on Cheng Qicai's shoulder.
Some of the stiff, short hairs brushed against her cheeks and neck, causing a slight itch.
The height difference made her completely enveloped in Gu Rongqi's embrace, but he also appeared to be in a dependent posture. In this embrace, Cheng Qicai seemed to be the one in control.
“You…” Cheng Qicai’s body stiffened at his sudden intimacy.
Gu Rongqi's deep, joyful voice rang in her ear, "I'm so glad you chose me."

After they separated, Cheng Qicai felt much better.
Cheng Qicai fanned her slightly hot face and quickly walked towards the golden bean by the big tree. "Let's go, we should go see the golden bean."
Noticing that Gu Rongqi hadn't followed immediately, she turned around and saw that Gu Rongqi was still standing in the same spot.
She walked back, took his hand, and led him forward. She asked, "What's wrong?"
"No, it feels like a dream." Gu Rongqi changed the way he held Cheng Qicai's hand to interlock their fingers.
"You adapted quite quickly in your dream." Cheng Qicai raised their clasped hands to show him.
Gu Rongqi chuckled softly again.
Seeing that Gu Rongqi was smiling a lot more today, she asked in confusion, "To be honest, I've never understood why you like me?"
Gu Rongqi remained silent for a long time before looking at her with his deep eyes and slowly saying, "Perhaps every time we spent together, there was a flutter in my heart, which eventually accumulated into my feelings for you."
Upon hearing Gu Rongqi's confession, Cheng Qicai's face instantly turned bright red.
Dude! How come you can just spout such sweet nothings like that so easily?!
But she had to admit that she secretly wanted to laugh out loud, but she was afraid of ruining the beautiful atmosphere.

"Golden Bean." Cheng Qicai called softly to the Golden Bean not far away.
Upon hearing the sound, Golden Bean wagged its tail and walked towards her, deliberately avoiding Gu Rongqi.
It seems it's still holding a grudge against him for how fiercely he yelled at it earlier.
Cheng Qicai let go of his hand, squatted down, and comforted Huang Jindou by patting him on the back for the neglect he had just received.
Gu Rongqi glanced at his empty hand and squatted down to touch it as well.
Receiving affection from his two masters, Golden Bean instantly forgave Gu Rongqi's cold attitude and swayed his head as he twirled around in front of them.
Gu Rongqi stood up and said, "Shall we walk it around in the park?"
