Old Master Leng seemed oblivious to Qin Xiao's miserable state. He slowly stood up and silently pocketed all the bets on the table, including the money wagered by the officers.
"Didn't you hear Nan Nan just say she admits defeat?"
He spoke casually, as if it were a matter of course.
Then he slowly shouted into the air.
"Doctor! Come quick!"
"Give this Qin family kid a good check-up, make sure he doesn't suffer any lasting consequences."
Qin Xiao was carefully helped by the military doctor who arrived later, and limped to the Leng family's guest room. The doctor's hesitant yet sympathetic look during the examination made Qin Xiao feel even more aggrieved.
Lying on the soft bed, Qin Xiao grimaced in pain, his cold sweat not yet completely dry.
[Host... are you alright?]
Yun Yiyi's voice carried worry and a hint of barely perceptible self-reproach.
[It's all my fault, the skill I gave her was too annoying... and that woman was too ruthless!]
Qin Xiao inhaled sharply and replied inwardly with a hint of annoyance.
"Nothing's wrong!"
"I've practiced Iron Crotch Kung Fu... Pshaw! I'm perfectly healthy!"

Just then, there was a gentle knock on the guest room door.

The voice was hesitant, as if the person knocking on the door was also feeling uneasy.
Before Qin Xiao could respond, the door was gently pushed open a crack from the outside before being fully opened.
Leng Nan walked in carrying a tray with several white medicine bottles and a roll of gauze on it. She had changed out of her military uniform and was now wearing simple light gray loungewear, her long hair casually draped over her shoulders. She looked less sharp as a soldier and less fierce on the training ground, and more gentle like a girl. However, her expression was still somewhat unnatural, her eyes darting around, not daring to look directly at Qin Xiao, who was grinning and grimacing on the bed.
She walked to the bedside and carefully placed the tray on the bedside table, her movements much gentler and her voice lower, carrying a hint of barely perceptible apology and awkwardness.
"Um...do you still feel pain?"
Are you alright?
Qin Xiao leaned against the headboard, rolled his eyes in annoyance at the words, deliberately inhaled sharply, and tightened his grip on his lower abdomen, his expression pained.
What do you think?
"I told you to use your knee, and with such force, you hit me twice in the same spot. Do you think it's going to heal?!"
"You try it and see if it hurts!"
Leng Nan blushed at his retort, lowered her head slightly, her fingers unconsciously picking at the edge of the tray as she murmured an apology.
"I'm sorry..."
"I...I didn't mean to, it's just...it's just that you kept dodging me, and...and you touched me...I just couldn't stop myself..."
She picked up a medicine bottle, unscrewed the cap, and a cool, herbal ointment scent wafted out.
"Let me treat you."
"This is a special medicine made by our Leng family. It is especially effective in treating sprains and bruises."
She took a deep breath, as if she had made a great decision, and raised her head, but her gaze was still somewhat unfocused.
"Come on, take off your pants, I'll apply the medicine for you!"

"It's not like I haven't seen it before..."
She paused, her voice becoming even softer, almost inaudible, and her ears turned bright red.
"When we were little...when we were little you always let me peek at your private parts..."
"He...he even told me...that you have this thing and I don't..."
Qin Xiao: "..."
His mind went blank for a second, as if a thunderbolt had exploded above his head, and he froze completely.
No way?
The original owner of this body... was this delinquent even as a child?! And did things like this?!
No wonder that crazy woman was so vicious! This must have been a long-standing grudge!
Qin Xiao took a breath and then slowly exhaled, trying to make his voice sound normal, at least without any tremor.

Leng Nan clearly failed to receive Qin Xiao's tragic cry from the depths of his heart, or rather, even if she did receive it, she didn't take it seriously at all.
Her soldierly stubbornness kicked in; her eyebrows furrowed, and her eyes held a resolute determination that said, "I absolutely must take this medicine today."
