Chapter 26 Little Angel with a Heart-Pounding Kiss

Qin Xiao turned around, a gentle smile returning to his face, and looked at Ye Chen, who was frozen in place.

"Well, Mr. Ye, did you hear everything?"

"Thirty yuan, that's a fair price from the experienced craftsman."

He paused, seemingly still thinking of Ye Chen, his tone carrying a hint of barely perceptible sarcasm.

"Forget it, it's better to resolve a feud than to let it fester. I, Qin Xiao, am not the kind of person who holds a grudge. I won't stoop to doing anything that would humiliate you too much."

"I think we should just forget about the bet where you have to kneel down and call me 'Grandpa'."

"Just obediently take out three hundred yuan as a token, after all, it was your young master Ye who made the bet. A real man's word is his bond."

Qin Xiao deliberately emphasized the words "three hundred yuan," raising his voice slightly at the end, which was full of sarcasm.

"Hopefully, the young master of the prestigious Ye family will honor his bet and not be so stingy as to be unable to even come up with three hundred yuan?"

Ye Chen was so angry that his whole body trembled violently, his temples throbbed, his chest felt like it was about to explode, and a mouthful of sweet and metallic blood surged into his throat, almost spitting it out.

Three hundred yuan.

He has now searched all his pockets and all he has left is this three hundred yuan.

Qin Xiao was going to tear off his last fig leaf in front of everyone, leaving him utterly humiliated and devoid of any dignity!

"Qin Xiao!!!"

Unable to suppress the rage and humiliation that erupted like a volcano in his heart any longer, Ye Chen roared with a ferocious expression, his voice so sharp it almost cracked.

"You! Are! Really! Looking! To! Die!!!"

Like a mad beast, he completely lost his mind and pounced on Qin Xiao recklessly. His fist, as big as a casserole dish, whistled sharply as it slammed into Qin Xiao's face, determined to crush this ant who dared to humiliate him!

"Mr. Ye!"

Liu Qingyou gasped in surprise, her face paling. Almost instinctively, she stepped forward again without hesitation, her petite body standing straight in front of Qin Xiao.

Her beautiful face was now filled with anger and determination, and her eyes burned with fury.

"What do you want to do, Ye Chen?!"

Liu Qingyou rebuked him sternly and righteously, her voice clear and firm, carrying an aura of unassailable authority.

"You can't afford to lose at gambling on stones, and you can't afford to buy antiques. Are you going to throw a tantrum in my shop and commit violence in the street because you've lost so much money?!"

"You've caused such a big disturbance in your shop, Liu Qingyou. I'm even considering holding you accountable and calling the police to arrest you!"

"You actually dare to hit someone now? This is utterly lawless!"

Her voice was firm and authoritative, carrying an unquestionable authority.

"I've already called the police, and the surveillance cameras at Jubao Pavilion have recorded everything clearly. You won't escape the punishment of the law for your every move!"

"Just wait to rot in jail, and let the law punish scum like you!"

The words "call the police" struck Ye Chen like a thunderbolt, instantly freezing his momentum as if he had been doused with ice water. His frantic charge came to a sudden halt, as if the pause button had been pressed.

The fear of imprisonment and his second incarceration gripped his heart like a venomous snake, leaving him cold and paralyzed.

He glanced in horror at Liu Qingyou, who stood in front of Qin Xiao, delicate yet incredibly resolute, and then greedily glanced at the ancient jade that still exuded an alluring spiritual aura not far away. His heart was in turmoil, struggling and weighing his options.

An even more sinister and vicious thought, like a venomous snake spitting its tongue, instantly took shape in Ye Chen's mind.

Ye Chen suddenly gave a subtle wink to his lackey, Poison Scorpion, beside him.

The next second, he feinted, seemingly intending to continue attacking Liu Qingyou to confuse her, but suddenly raised his right leg and kicked hard towards Qin Xiao with all his might.

Qin Xiao was prepared. A mocking smile appeared on his lips. He slightly shifted his body and dodged Ye Chen's seemingly fierce but actually chaotic attack with the agility of a ghost.

Ye Chen's long-awaited kick missed its mark, but instead struck a mahogany carved counter displaying exquisite porcelain behind Qin Xiao.

“Crash—!!!”

There was a deafening bang.

The expensive mahogany counter was kicked to pieces by Ye Chen's brute force. The heavy glass door on the counter shattered, and shards flew everywhere. The exquisite porcelain inside the counter was smashed to pieces like rain.

Taking advantage of the sudden chaos and Liu Qingyou's exclamation, Ye Chen, like an arrow released from a bow, rushed to the ancient jade radiating a faint halo of spiritual energy, swiftly scooped it into his arms, and held it tightly to his chest.

"Walk!"

He lowered his voice and shouted at the scorpion, who was also stunned by the sudden situation. Then, without looking back, he ran wildly toward the shop's door, his steps faltering and hurried. In the blink of an eye, he disappeared into the shadows of the street corner like a stray dog, leaving behind only a mess and devastation.

The shop was in chaos, filled with pungent dust and the crisp sound of breaking porcelain.

Liu Qingyou was still in shock, her face pale and her chest heaving. She quickly turned around, her face full of worry and concern, and hurried towards Qin Xiao.

"Mr. Qin, are you...are you alright? Are you injured anywhere?"

Her voice trembled slightly, and her beautiful eyes were filled with worry and lingering fear.

Qin Xiao gently shook his head, his gaze tenderly falling on Liu Qingyou's slightly disheveled hair and her still somewhat pale face.

He reached out and naturally grasped Liu Qingyou's slightly cool, fair wrist, his fingertips conveying a reassuring warmth.

"I'm fine, Miss Liu, don't worry. But you, were you frightened?"
