Chapter 332 The Temple of the Sage

The small flame formed a narrow passage, but it effectively blocked out the surrounding malevolent energy. Not only did not a trace of yin energy drift over, but the red flashes seemed to intentionally or unintentionally avoid them.

It's understandable that the yin energy would be avoided, since the small flame is Phoenix True Fire, which is naturally effective against yin energy. However, the malevolent energy is rather strange. You You thought about it carefully and felt that it might be because Feng Rong was a member of the divine race. Xiu Yuan had said that this was a burial ground, the battlefield of the sinful race, which was also the divine race. Thinking about it, it's easy to understand that those who died here were all members of the divine race.

Sensing the same aura emanating from the small flame, they naturally refrained from attacking it. Thus, the three of them smoothly traversed the yellow sand. After walking for about half an hour, the surrounding yellow sand and yin energy gradually dissipated, and the malevolent aura vanished without a trace.

The scenery before them changed abruptly, as if a yellow curtain had been lifted, completely different from what they had imagined. They had thought it would be the wasteland Xiu Yuan had described, but to their surprise, all they saw was a landscape of green mountains and clear waters shrouded in mist, with vast expanses of rich purple divine power swirling around the mountains, invigorating their spirits. It was arguably even more like a divine realm than the one outside.

"This is..." The group was stunned, staring at the scene before them in disbelief.

"Holy crap! Sumeru Grass!" Xiu Yuan exclaimed in surprise, rushing forward and squatting down next to a blade of grass on his right. His eyes were filled with amazement. Turning his head, he exclaimed again, "Holy crap! Thunderclap Rock... Holy crap! Sun-Eroding Lotus, Gentle Breeze Branch... This must be the True God Realm! Why are there so many extinct divine plants here!"

Xiu Yuan was so excited that he jumped up and down as if he had discovered a new continent, completely forgetting why they came here, and he couldn't stop.

Yu Hao was also astonished. Putting everything else aside, the divine power surrounding them was several times stronger than that outside. He never expected that there would be such a place in the God Realm.

"The Celestial Maiden..."

"What's that?!" He was about to say something when Youyou spoke first, pointing to the right.

"Huh?" He subconsciously turned his head to look, only to see a white pillar stretching straight to the sky, with several thin stone pillars branching out from it, extending upwards like a net.

“These are the four pillars supporting the sky,” Yu Hao replied casually. “However, this is a forbidden area, and no god comes in to manage and protect it, so it’s inevitable that some stone spirits attracted by the pillars will grow on them.” The forked small stone pillars next to them are examples of this.

“Don’t you think… it looks more like a tree?” Youyou asked again.

"Huh?!" Yu Hao was stunned. He looked up, then, as if remembering something, immediately took out a map and glanced at it. He then exclaimed in surprise, "Holy crap, this...this...this..."

He pointed to the map in his hand, then looked at the pillar supporting the sky; it was exactly the same.

The map in their hands was redrawn under the guidance of the Underworld Envoy. He remembered that when he was redrawing it, he originally wanted to make it more lifelike, but the Underworld Envoy insisted that the towering tree he saw looked just like that, and now it really does look the same.

"The Underworld Envoy wasn't talking about the Sky-Supporting Tree, he was talking about the Sky-Supporting Pillar!" Yu Hao belatedly realized, no wonder the other party said they could recognize it at a glance.

"Let's go, fly up and take a look!" Youyou immediately summoned his flying sword.

Without hesitation, Yuhao flew up and headed into the sky, choosing the best vantage point before taking the map and starting to match it up one by one.

Sky-supporting trees (pillars), the Milky Way, the sacred lake, the divine mountain... it has it all!

And the distribution is exactly the same as the map they have.

“This should be it!” Youyou said confidently, glancing at the map again and pointing to the upper left, “The Sage’s location is over there.”

The two exchanged a glance, then ignored Xiu Yuan, who was still frantically pulling up weeds below, and flew directly to the upper left. They passed through several celestial rivers and sacred mountains, finally stopping in front of a huge lake.

"This is it!" Yu Hao carefully examined the location marked on the map, looking around in confusion. "But... why is it just a lake? Let me explore it with my divine sense!"

After speaking, he unleashed his divine sense, scanning the entire lake, including the bottom, but found nothing unusual. He couldn't find a single person, let alone a saint.

"There's nothing there." Yuhao turned around.

Youyou frowned. This shouldn't be the case. While the Underworld Envoy was unreliable, there was no reason for him to lie to her. Could it be because too much time had passed, and the Sage had moved?

She walked towards the lake, wanting to get a closer look, when she suddenly felt a chill on her wrist. She instinctively raised her hand and saw a ring of magic spells appear on it, the very same spell her father had cast.

"Watch out!" Before she could think, Yu Hao suddenly reached out and grabbed her from behind, pulling her back several meters. A whooshing sound rang in her ears, as if something was rising.

Suddenly, a blinding white light emanated from the once calm lake, forming walls of light that enveloped the entire spirit lake. Within these walls of light, space itself began to distort and deform, as if some barrier had been erased. The vast lake vanished, replaced by a colossal palace.

The palace was pure white and spotless, with a faint glow around it. Just looking at it gave people a sense of holiness, as if no filth in the world could taint it in the slightest.

The entire palace was enormous and very tall. In front of the palace was a large lake, which was bathed in sunlight and turned golden. Only a white jade-paved passageway was left in the middle, leading directly to the entrance of the palace.
